Great service! I ordered and went to get groceries and when I came back I asked for my order but I forgot to say togo… So she said that they gave my food away to other customers since I wasn’t there, and she thought I was eating here. They had to prepare the food another time, to go this time, and the lady there was still friendly and had a smile on her face despite me making her make my food again. Great food!

4.5 stars… highly suspect. Visited this place out of curiosity since I wanted some legit jjamppong but it was no bueno. Did not taste fresh at all, noodles lacked chewyness, broth was lacking«fire» flavor and overall generic/bland broth that wasn’t even that hot(temp-wise). I also got their fried pork with sweet sauce… man it was extremely subpar. Overall, I would call this your typical foodcourt meal and not worth the money. Go to a legit place if you want some good chinese-korean food. There’s a few in GG.

The jja jjang myun and jjangpong are delicious! Every time I eat here I get great food and service, which is not always the case with other in-store restaurants. The owners are also very kind and helpful with recommendations. Big fan.

I just can’t understand how this place got 4.5 stars overall. I’ve eaten here 3 or 4 times so far but I will stop going altogether because the taste of their food is so inconsistent. Plus they would not accept credit cards for purchases under $ 10 so you’re either forced to pay with cash or order extra foods just to get the total amount over $ 10.

I’ve been waiting for something like Kyo-Dong to come closer to my work or home for a long time. Granted there a lot of Chinese restaurants that serve Jjang Pong and Jjajang myun but they are usu. greasy and have MSG. Kyo-Dong is a franchise from Korea and very similar in their approach to Paik’s Noodles in Buena Park(which is also a franchise from Korea). This place is part of the food court inside the AR(Arirang) Market in the same plaza as Tous Le Jour Bakery. When you walk to the food court, don’t expect to see any restaurant named Kyo-Dong. It’s all written in Korean but it does say, Chinese Restaurant or Chinese food. They have a pretty simple menu– The spicy noodles(Jjang Pong), the black bean noodles(Jja jang myun), the Sweet and Sour Pork(Tang Soo Yeok), and a few other items. The price is not dirt cheap but very reasonable, esp considering the quality and generous portions. I used to drive all the way to Fullerton from Irvine or GG(even though GG had tons of Chinese Restaurants that serve the same items). I told my wife I even wanted to move back to Fullerton so I could be closer to Paik’s Noodles. But now, I’m gonna have to move to Garden Grove bc of this place. The first week I found Kyo Dong, I went there 4 days in a row. Now I’m trying to limit to 2 visits a week. The Jjang Pong(spicy Noodle soup) is huge and has tons of seafood. A lot of jjang pongs usu have really old seafood but this one seems much fresher. Also, the noodles are cooked perfectly and I love the chewiness. The only thing is that it’s pretty spicy so if you can’t handle the heat, ask them to make it less spicy or you’ll suffer later. The Jjang Jang Myun is not greasy but I would say that Paik’s Noodles’ sauce is a little better. The Tang Soo Yeok(sweet and sour beef) is better than most places, inc. Paik’s. It’s perfectly battered(very flaky and crispy) and it’s a very generous portion. I tried the fried rice too which was just ok, but they do give you a little bit of the black bean sauce and the spicy noodle soup broth which made it a nice combo. The fried mandoo(dumplings) was big and only $ 5 for six pieces. I usually order extra noodles but you always run out of noodles first and you have all this broth or sauce left. So if you have a party of three, you can order one spicy noodle soup, one black bean noodles, and one order of sweet and sour pork. If you have a party of four or even five, just get extra noodles($ 2 only) and you can feed a party of 5 for $ 32. This is one of my favorite combo meals and my comfort food.

I can not begin to explain how perfectly content I am with this place. Their black bean noodle was amazing. I remember having this kind of noodle at a Chinese restauraunt one time and I really hated it. Decided to give it another chance here and it was totally different. This is a very famous chinese dish but it shocks me to how a korean restauraunt made it way better. Their portion was very large too. Could share it between 2 people. The chef and service was super friendly. Chef even offered some extra black bean sauce with no extra charge after noticing how a little dry it was. Bonus star for that. Having that extra sauce made the dish taste superb. It had the perfect amount of meat and veggies. We also ordered the fried pork with sweet sauce and it was delicious. Very crispy and the sauce wasnt fishy which was perfect. I usually hate that fishy tasting sauce you get when you order those fried stuff at boba places. The employees always treated us with a smile when we asked for stuff and of course a smile will light up someone’s day. Amazing service for a new restauraunt. Will be coming back to try that spicy soup they have.

Not a fan of 50 cents charge per item for to-go orders. What is up with that??? The food was okay, but the cashier made a mistake which I caught before we got home.

Inexpensive, big portions, delicious, friendly staff and clean. What other adjectives do I need to list out to express how great this place is. I’m very impressed with how Great my meal was! A lot of places that serve jjajangmyun end up having watery sauce, by the time you’re done with your noodles, it’s all water. The jjajangmyun here was perfectly Cooked and The sauce had the perfect amount of meat, veggies and by the end, my bowl was… Empty bc I ate it all because it was so good! The jjangpong had so much seafood and the broth was the perfect amount of spice. The orange chicken was 100% chicken, fried to the perfect crisp. Trust me, you’ll won’t be disappointed!
