Mai’s barbershop is a great place to get your hair cut while you wait for your parents/spouse/friends to shop at the Asian shun fai supermarket, which this ship is inside of. Even though it’s cheap for hair cuts here, my stylist asked me how it looked throughout the cut so I didn’t feel like I was ignored. I don’t speak Vietnamese but their English is good enough for anyone to tell them what they want.

After hitting up brodard pretty hard, this place was dead on a Friday evening. Got a great haircut by the lady. Its no «$ 20 make an appointment» barber shop, but gets the job done for $ 7 and she is very nice.

Ask for Mai, the owner to cut your hair. I’ve been getting my hair cut here for over a year now and it’s a perfect cut every time. Besides being a great haircut, it’s only 7 bucks!

Even a blind person can cut hair better than these people. Good place to get a haircut if you want to look like a FOB.

I didn’t like my eyebrow wax nor my eyelash extension here. The service was okie. The eyebrow was uneven and ugly. They charged 75 $ for one by one extension, and the eyelashes were super thin, my real eyebrow even thicker than what they did. She made one of the lashes longer than the others so she chopped the top of that one off which made it looks awful. Don’t go here for any of those services.

Mai’s haircut is very friendly services. One of the lady who cut my hair has skills that cut almost similar to super star Andy Lau style in unforgettable concert. I like it. I cannot imagine a cheap good price but the lady with amazing cut. I am proud. Thanks Mai’s Barber.

Good and reasonable price for a new hair. Ms Loan is always my best stylist. She also works at another place, so Im not sure when she works there. you can give her a call and ask for her schedule before coming. 714−262−7752 She speaks both Vietnamese and English, I just done my highlight and hair cut there and I love it :) My hair looks much better after seeing her

Honestly, they do not open on time. Stated on their door was 9:00 am. No one showed up til 9:30am with a few people waiting for them. When I went and sat in the chair, the lady I had looked pretty nice. And then it went down hill from there. At first it was nice because we were having a conversation. But she was too deep in conversation and she messed up my hair. She cut in places I asked her not to cut. She buzzed in places when I asked her to used scissors and clip places where she was suppose to buzzed. To be quite frank, a five year old could of given me this haircut. On top of that, they decided to speak in Vietnamese to each other thinking I was not Vietnamese. I understood what they were saying and it was pretty sketched. I do not recommend this place to any one. Go somewhere else.

For their service: I came at night, and when I entered, they didn’t seem too happy to help me. They seem very lazy… «Service with ‘no’ smile.» For the haircut: I usually cut my hair myself at home, as I usually get a buzzcut; however, I wanted to get a fade. I asked for recommendations for what clipsize I should cut my hair at, but they did not at all give me any recommendations. So i decided on my own. I’m not satisfied with my haircut as it looks like I could have probably cut my own hair, and should’ve. I went to another salon first, but it was closed, so I decided to go here. If you’re on a tight budget, and you just want the job done, I would recommend this place. This place would be a good for people on tight budgets, and for children. Men’s Haircut are only $ 5.

Mai’s is a great little place for a simple haircut for men at an affordable price. Most of the time I am very satisfied with my haircut, and fewer times I am only marginally satisfied and think that it could be better. All of the people who have cut my hair understand enough English for a simple haircut description, but if you don’t speak Vietnamese it can be difficult when trying to explain or request certain things. In my humble opinion, going to Mai’s sure beats paying more at a chain.

Great place for simple men’s haircut. If you want a specific cut just show them a picture and let them do the rest. Recommend coming in during a weekday so they don’t rush on your haircut. Can’t beat $ 5 haircuts with a $ 2 or $ 3 tip. Will be back in the near future Can’t help but eat some %50 off Phở or Banh Mi after, I mean come on it is right their.

great place, and affordable for men’s haircut, i take my cousin here to get his hair cut, when he’s in town. cause he’s in the marines and needs have it cut almost every week for inspection, the place is hard to find when you are basing in off the address, its in the same plaza as the Target, around the corner facing Westminister.

$ 5 for haircut, $ 2 tip. Doesn’t get any better than this. No frills haircut. Quality is pretty good as well.

A small good quick chop shop for Men’s haircuts $ 5 =) +1 No Frills place good for Men’s haircuts, but they don’t wash your hair for $ 5(they do women’s haircut & styling too but I wouldn’t recommend it) They have small little chairs in a crowded corner for you to sit & wait your turn. Remember who you are after cuz they don’t hand out #s or keep track. Hey, you can’t beat $ 5 for Men’s haircuts takes about 10 – 15 minutes for each guy to get their haircut. +2 If you can’t speak Vietnamese, bring a picture of what style of a haircut that you want done & they’ll do it for you. +1 They’re pretty detailed when they cut hair so if you don’t like it a certain way just tell them. =) They do understand basic English that’s all you need to get a haircut for Men. =) Long lines on weekends so try to come here on weekdays =) The only thing that I don’t like about this place is that there’s hair everywhere on the floor when they get really busy & they don’t sweep it up after each customer. –1 Cash Only peeps =)

I went a couple weeks ago to get my hair colored(not the hair in my pic… that’s from like a year ago) a sort of auburn color. I thought my hair would be stripped, then dyed, but that was not so. The color was put straight on and as a result, my hair came out tri-colored after sitting there baking for three hours. I had a black streak running horizontally through the left side of my hair and my roots were obviously darker than the rest of the hair! I was visibly upset about the discoloration so the stylist offered to fix it the next day for $ 10, then recanted and instead offered to fix it for free. Had I put up the review then, I probably would have given a much lower rating, but I came back early the next morning to have it redyed. After baking for another two and a half hours, my hair looked MUCHBETTER! The roots are still a little darker than the rest of my hair and I notice some variation in shades, but for $ 35 + tip, it’s a pretty good job. I usually pay $ 130+ for the same dye job…$ 200+ when I go blonde, but now that times are tough and my wallet is thin, a $ 35 dye job suits me just fine. **Oh, also a good idea to bring a friend that speaks Vietnamese. I had A LOT of trouble communicating with my stylist and vice versa.

Good price for men, for women probably not so much. This has been sitting in my drafts for a week or so now. Mikee needed a haircut so we went back to this place. Five dollah. How can you not want to come back? They don’t butcher your cut! The barbers take their time in styling your haircut. So while I was waiting for Mikee to be done, I decided to finally say«YES» to a haircut. While this is a Vietnamese place, at least one of the ladies speak English so no worries on that part. Both of our cuts turned out pretty good. I liked how she paid attention to the layers and even styled my hair even though I told her that I was going to the beach after. I guess, if you’re like me, who don’t like talking/gossiping with their stylish, this is a perfect option. And the reason this has been sitting in my drafts is because my measure of a good haircut is if it still looks good days after the cut. Bonus point for needing minimal styling. Total damage: $ 25 for two haircuts including tip. Bring CASH! They also do facials and eyebrow threading if you’re interested in those kind of things ;)
