Fast, quick, attentive, and of course the free drink everyone’s been raving about. Kinda clean. Not a fancy spot for a date. Mostly when you need a quick phở fill, this is the spot. Broth is very good. Not too salty and it’s very well rounded

Perks: Open late, good phở broth, cheap and comes with free drink. Inconveniences: Not the cleanest place, owners smoke a lot, place smells like smoke, they only take cash.

Came here craving phở at 1am and this was one of the few places still open. We came in and there were only a handful of older men dining here. The best part of the whole dining experience is they were playing Fresh Prince of Bel Air on TV! I ordered the Phở Tai Gau which is normally my go-to. Here, the brisket is VERY tough and chewy. The Rare steak is very tender and soft. As for the broth, it was very salty but it tastes really good when you squeeze a lime into it. Pretty good phở for convenience for being open late. I noticed the place is a little dirty by the windows between the booth and the table can be a bit sticky. Also, the spoons smell funny I couldn’t eat my phở with the spoons because it had a strong mineral smell from tap water residue. Being one of the few places open late, it’s pretty good. But if I were to eat phở out at normal hours of the day, I probably wouldn’t frequent this place often. Also, the servers talked to me in Vietnamese and I didn’t understand a thing they were saying.

Really good place to go if you’re just looking for a pick me up bowl of phở. The beef phở is really flavorful and generous in its portions. The bun thit nuoung is also really good and I recommend the goi cuon. My family likes to go out to eat here together for a very reasonably priced meal and great dinner. It can be a little dirty(the bathroom especially), so come for the food and not the ambience necessarily.

My server threw a temper tantrum because i couldn’t understand that he meant soup when it clearly sounded like shrimp. A temper tantrum right in front of me. Worst service i’ve ever had.

At first, I thought this place was awesome but after a few visits, I was totally wrong. The staff became really rude and also they took forever with the food. With rude glares and also snappy attitude, they served us. They left us high and dry with the drinks and never came to serve us during our stay until I waved over the water for water. I understand Vietnamese so I don’t appreciate the rude comments that they made about me and my boyfriend. I love the food but the service sucks !!!

First and last visit here. Not very friendly staff, maybe because they’re stuck here 3am.

I had a pretty mediocre experience here. I came through with a group of about 12 people. We were all famish and were looking for a nice phở place to eat. From prior experience I remember this place was solid, not overly amazing but solid enough to feed a party that large as I usually go with my whole family(and I mean whole family). Immediately as we entered we got the feeling the staff was a bit uneasy. Maybe because we were the only customers there or the fact that when some of my buddies realized it was cash only they started to panic and spoke aloud about how they didn’t have cash. It wasn’t big of an issue as the ones in the party with the cash was gonna spot the others. We had enough for a group of 12. I think they overheard and was starting to get a bit worried we were gonna dine and dash LOL. I felt they were super slow bringing out our phở but was not too hesitant to rush us out with the check. Usually after eating phở we all just like to chill a bit and let things simmer. The phở was decently good. Its a 3.5 with the noodles being ok and the meat portions a bit weak. We were a bit trippin when after we paid we were resting a bit but the staff was kinda pushing for us to leave. Maybe they were getting ready to close I don’t know. PS cash only

I understand they’re busy and possibly a language barrier, but how does one accuse a customer of modifying an order when I just said I wanted the number 19. Then I asked about the rest of my soup and they took forever for the other half. I wouldn’t come back. I felt rushed and not fully helped. Plus the phở isn’t all that good. Not coming back.

Not the best place to go eat phở. Found plastic things in the phở bowl(pic). And eggrolls were not good. The waitress stood next to our table after she handed the menus waiting to take our order. Come on now, we just sat. Give us at least 5 mins smh. It’s not like you have a 5 things on your menu, it’s a 3 – 4 page booklet. I was annoyed at the very least. So. Don’t eat here lol.

Came here late at night and was really hungry. Their phở is actually really good. They have different specials everyday! The night my mom and I came here they had a limeade soda(soda chanh) special and that is your free drink with your bowl of phở! I had the phở tai bo vien which is noodle soup with brisket and meat balls! :) their prices are very reasonable and I believe it’s 50% off phở bo!

Stopped by here to pick up some phở to go after a long drive from Vegas. The staff were nice and courteous. Food came out fast and packed very nicely in a box. They give you a lot of food for the price. However, the phở was not good at all. The broth tasted like salt water. There were no taste of slow simmering beef bones and phở spices. It was so salty I had to add water to dilute it. I had decent phở at the phở 54 on Bolsa before and I thought this location will be the same… not even closed. Food– 0 star Service– 3 stars

Very rude staff! We came in around midnight after a trip at Disneyland since it was one of the only places that was open late and wasn’t too pricey. We did not get seated by the workers, we had to seat ourselves. When we ordered, the workers did not understand what we were trying to say even though I was speaking Vietnamese to them! We ordered the complimentary drink they offer but we also wanted water as well and they didn’t give it to us until we asked over three times. Finally we got our food. It tasted mediocre, it wasn’t too bad but not the best. I would have liked it more if the experience was better. Also, when we paid, we informed them what we ordered and the worker asked us what we had in Vietnamese in a different dialect that I speak. So we were not able to understand him and told him what we ordered. He replied«how do you not know what you ordered!!!» I thought that was such a rude comment. Ugh such an irritating experience. Never again.

The people here are very nice and the service is pretty fast but it’s usually fairly empty here. I thought the broth was pretty good and the meat quality was decent. They do offer a free lemonade or ice tea with your meal. I would come back when I need a good bowl of phở during the late hours of the night/morning.

This restaurant is huge with a lot of tables and chairs. The waiters are a bunch of old men. Fairly clean and well lite. Their phở is alright. Price is fairly descent.

You know it’s not going to be a great review when the first thing you think of is another nearby restaurant. Phở Quang Trung is my go-to spot for phở on Westminster Blvd. near Brookhurst. It’s very good. It was closed this morning for renovations, so after a bit of fumbling around, we ended up at Phở 54. It wasn’t too busy, and we got seated right away. I had the phở xe lua for $ 6.50, which seems to be the going rate around here. Our orders came out after just a couple minutes, which really should be the standard for good phở. — Size: I’ve had larger.(That’s what she said.) — Broth: Good. A quick tasting with and without a squeeze of lime showed me that lime would have destroyed the fairly subtle savory flavor. Pretty clean. I like it. — Noodles: Standard packaged stuff, but clumped together a bit more than I’m used to. Probably the same portion as a regular bowl, with the added meat being the size upgrade of the phở xe lua. Still, pretty much on par. — Meat: Here’s where it fell apart. Tendon is tendon, and tripe is tripe, but there just wasn’t enough flavor to any of the steak, flank, or brisket. I found myself desperately gulping broth at some points for umami, which I just don’t have to do at any of my favorite phở spots anywhere. — Greens: Fresh and in a reasonable portion. I’m a bit of a Thai basil fiend, so I was pleased. This review was hovering around 3.5 stars. but I rounded down because I expect better flavor at a restaurant in the heart of a great Vietnamese community. More importantly, I know there’s a much more memorable spot just down the street. Go there instead if it’s open.
