Overall, my first experienced here today was great. Food came out very quick. Everything tasted great especially the Thai soup.

I’m torn between giving Red Pot 3 stars or 4 so I’m gonna go with 4 because I can see myself coming back here. The experience was nice as we ordered a handful of dishes that were as good as expected. The broth however will never compare to Little Sheep. I’m going to let the pricing($ 22/person) justify the 4th star.

We love this place! Wonderful food! Broths are the best and tastiest. Meat and seafood are very fresh and a wide variety of vegetables. We found this place a few months back and have been going at least once every 2 weeks. It is a bit pricey but well worth it.

Service was nice, but that might have been because our group came on a Tuesday night. It was cold so hot pot hit the spot. The sauce station was small, but their house sauce with garlic, chili oil, and chili paste was a good mix. My boyfriend also got the sweet soy sauce, chili oil, and something else. it was pretty good as well. I like the variety in veggies they give you, I wish they gave you the little baby corn instead of corn on a cob. I was a little confused when we placed our orders on the sheet. Example: we put 5 orders of enoki mushroom(MYFAVORITE!!) and got one little bunch of it, but on a round where we only ordered 3 orders, we got 2 bunches? I mean I know its all you can eat and I could just order more, but a little consistency would have been nice. We got the miso and tom yum base, both are flavorful and I would recommend both. We also got beef, pork, and lamb. I think beef was my favorite although I opted more for seafood and veggies. The fried fish balls were yummy. We did a slew of veggies which was all good. Overall, I liked the place. I do think it is a little pricey about a little under $ 24 per person after taxes(not including tip). I figure I can go down the street to Star BBQ and pay a little less.(Yes I know not the same food, but its AYCE!)

I was perusing thru Unilocal to see where fellow Unilocalers go for hot pot in Anaheim. I saw a few good reviews and decided to make it a part of our vacation experience. We arrived there around 6:30ish for dinner and it wasn’t busy at all. We got seated right away, and a friendly worker explained to us how the«all you can eat» works. This helped us a lot as we had no idea what we were walking into. The herbal soup is what we got and decided that we didn’t need another flavor. The meat was fresh, the sauce bar was awesome and I have to say the soup base wasn’t bad either. I gave it 5 stars for the cleanliness, great service(even when my husband accidentally knocked down his sweet tea), great food and did I mention the sauce bar!!! LOL I’ll be sure to come back for a visit on our next Disney vacation.

It was a rainy night and we really wanted a nice bowl of hot pot family style. Off to Unilocal we searched and up came Red Pot. I was sketchy about the 3.5 stars but decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Let me warn you, when we first walked in the place it was super warm, the windows were all fogged up and it smelled of Indian curry, which was a little pungent for me. But you get used to it after a few minutes. For $ 21.99 a person, we each had unlimited access to two flavors of hot pot. We chose the spicy herbal broth and the Thai tom yum. You can choose a third flavor for $ 5 more. We opted not to. Simply because there wouldn’t be a whole lot of room to cook all your ingredients in each section. Note, you are stuck with the flavors you order. If you switch, you get charged an extra $ 5. You have unlimited access to a variety of veggies, meats and seafood. They will portion it out based on the # of people in your party. If not enough, just use the sheet to mark off what you want. If you run out of space they’ll give you another paper. About the broth… The spicy herbal broth was amaze. However, when I eat hot pot at home, I usually put the Szechuan peppercorns in a strainer and let it boil in the broth. I think they should do that here. I hate spending half my dinner fishing those things out of my bowl. As you know, one bite of that can ruin your palate! Anywho, I digress. The tom yum soup was bland. I agree with other reviews. I think they do that on purpose so you can play chef with the sauce bar and flavor your own bowl? That would be cool but I didn’t know too much about the sauces to do that. Btw, I love love love that they have a self serve sauce bar. But without any recipe guidance, I really didn’t know what to mix together or what’s good. Just throw it all together and see what happens I guess? As part of your meal you can have free tea or sweet tea. I would definitely come back.

The food tasted pretty fresh. The service was decent. They came by to check on our broth but it was hard to get their attention sometimes to reorder. We got the miso and herbal broths. Both delicious. They gave plenty of greens and everything else in small portions like the meats, mushrooms, bamboo, etc. We liked that they had a sauce bar so you can refill anytime you need. The bar had peppers, garlic and onions as well. Free hot or sweet iced tea. The sweet iced tea was refreshing. The price is 21.99 currently. No wait on a Thursday night. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Great place for quick service and delicious hot pot meals. Fresh ingredients. They even have lamb which is rare in my experience. Price was decent. My only gripe was that four people had to share a central pot which was compartmented into two halves. I’m used to having my own pot. Nonetheless will be back

This is my families go to place for Hot Pot. Lots of fresh seafood and meats. Their sauce bar is great too. I don’t really care for any of the soups to be honest so I usually get the spicy herbal soup, flavor it with sate sauce, garlic and onions.

My go to spot for Hot pot! I love their broth selection and all their large selection of meats, noodles, and veggies galore! I personally like the spicy herbal the best! I love their sauce station so you can customize your own sauces just the way you like it. Must order the tea! It’s so refreshingly delicious!

I love going to Shabu Shabu, but most places are very expensive and are not generous with the ingredients. This place offers All You Can Eat for $ 22, and the quality is fantastic! There’s nothing fancy about the restaurant itself. In fact, most seats are 4-tops or 6-top booths, so if you are a couple, be prepared to sit at a big(unromantic) table. But that’s OK, because you’ll need the extra real estate on your table to hold all the ingredients you order. So here is how it works… first you select your soup flavor. My favorite is the Miso on one side of the pot, and Tom Yom on the other side. Since I’m trying to avoid red meat & pork, I selected to have my soups vegetarian. The waiter said that that makes it hot water with the Miso & Tom Yom flavors, nothing else. But really, once you start adding your ingredients to the soup, it picks up all those other flavors as well. Next, you select the ingredients you want for your hot pot. Although it’s AYCE, you only get to order 4 «rounds» of ingredients. But you can order as many ingredients as you want for each round. I’ve been here several times, and I’ve never made it past round 3! And if you need more soup, they bring that too. Hot Pot would not be complete without dipping sauce, and here you create your own at the self-serve sauce bar. Go back as many times as you like. All the ingredients I’ve had here are very high quality and delicious. Plus the service is excellent. Overall, this place is a great value. The only downside is you tend to over eat!

Our first time here and although the waiters were nice, they didn’t really explain how the process work for the all you can eat price. We ordered the miso broth and tom yum. The miso was bland and the tom yum was more sour than spicy. The flavors weren’t there. It needed something. There’s a sauce bar with about 4 sauces but only the sweet sauce was the best. Mix in a scoop of garlic, green onions, chili oil with the sweet sauce and it’s good. During our meal we asked our waiter if we can switch out the broth and he informed us you can not change what you order. So basically it’s all you can eat for just the meats, vegetable and noodles. I wish the waiter would of told us that before we placed our order, not after. Overall everything was decent but I’m not sure if I’ll be back.

I love how this is a Authentic Chinese hot pot AYCE for $ 19.99 a great deal for 2 or more people you’ll feel really full after this meal. Be sure to come with a group of friends then you can have a choice of 3 broths instead of 2. I suggest you order most of the things on the menu for the first round if you like all those hot pot items. On the 2nd round pick what you really like then if you make it to the 3rd or even 4th round you’re really stuffing yourselves. This is a good place to go if you’re really hungry feeling like hot food in soup without lots of carbs its great for those who are on a diet. We had the curry, herbal and miso broth all very flavorful. Maybe go light on the dipping sauces the satay sauce that I always like was very salty. I like to add chili oil and green onions to my satay sauce when it makes it taste more Chinese style. They need to lighten up on the salt on the sauce here or else the salt really ruins the flavor when you’re just tasting salt. Good hidden place for Chinese hot pot in Orange County when I don’t see really too many places that have this unless you go to San Gabriel Valley they got lots of places for hot pot. Service here can be a little slow here so be sure to grab those waiters and waitresses attention if you want the bill or just to order more food to eat.

Loved this place the staff spoke English which is refreshing — 1 star for no bok choy which is my favorite. The Thai Tom yum was good but I prefer the spicy Sichuan soup base. Vegetables where clean and the meat was a higher quality then other hot pot places I’ve been to.

TL;DR — Meh quality, kinda messy, inconsistent but filling for $ 20, its ok. My first gripe would be how dirty this place is. There were oil drips on the seats in the booths and a layer of grime on top of the seats as well. Hmmm. Secondly, the servings are inconsistent. We ordered the beef and lamb, and the first two plates were decent quality, but the meat was fattier and browner closer towards the 4th order. Yikes. At the $ 20AYCE pricepoint, its not too bad if you’re not chasing quality.

The restaurant is pretty clean and the tables/decorations are all nicely set up. There is plenty of parking on the outside too so you don’t have to worry about parking far away from the restaurant. I thought all the waiters were really friendly and pleasant. They really tried hard to efficiently get you all your food selections. I also really liked the sauce bar where you can get your own different sauces at any time, instead of wait for your server to bring this to you. This way, you can get as much or as little of each item. The buffet in itself is very abundant. You’re allowed to order whatever vegetable/meat/carbs that you want, four times. We only got to round two before we were totally full and could go for no more food. Everything tastes great. I guess the only suggestion that I have is that I wish they offered something aside from just ordering the ayce buffet. I wasn’t that hungry and didn’t want to splurge the $ 20+ on buffet. I was cool that my friends wanted to eat buffet but I didn’t want to have to order this. unfortunately, they offer nothing else on their menu besides this. They have enough people walking around the restaurant to be able to catch if anyone is sharing. Its not that hard to make a simple noodle dish or what not.

I luv hot pot and this place has ayce hot pot for only $ 19.99. Its a steal! We even got seated right away on a week night. Usually, we only hv one choice of soup base, but here u have two choices you select from menu: thai soup base, herbal, house soup base etc. You get to have acye from the menu for four times. Usually, i never get to the third time. I would be already full by the second time around. Btw, there are plenty of parking spaces.

AYCE soup, meats, seafood and veggies! I can justify paying a little more for the AYCE here compared to other places because the meat is part of the AYCE as well. Most places you choose your meat portion size and are charged based on your selection. Here it’s similar to KBBQ in the sense that you just keep ordering as much as you can eat – same goes with the soup base and veggies. Check out my photos for all of the options that are available for selection. I love their sauce bar and usually make my sauce using the garlic, chili oil, and house sauce – so good! I use the sauce to dip the meat and veggies into after cooking, but you can also add any of the sauces into your soup base for extra flavor. There’s plenty of seating available. Most tables seat 4, but they do have some larger tables that seat about 8 for larger parties. Service is friendly and attentive. Parking is shared with several other businesses and the gym next door, but it’s never been a huge issue finding a spot.
