Wow, this market is simply nasty and horrible. Disorganized and the place carriers alot of no name brands. The produce is oftened NOT fresh and what we have noticed is, they just dump the new with the old, which makes mold yuke! The meat dept is tailored for spanish community, no thick steaks here. We dont buy the chicken here because they have hormones added, not organic. The bakery does have a huge selection of pastries for reasonable prices. But to be honest the store is just plain old GETTO :-[ For the locals with no transportation its a life saver, but if you own a car… do your self a favor and go to Spourts or somewhere else where the produce is fresh. I know some of the employees who work here, and even they tell me the old Market Valu Plus was better, and even then that market was bad too. Oh one more thing, there are alot of panhandlers outside asking for money, and even people laying on the floor at this shopping center… Nasty and dirty!

The only reason I’m here is because the local Albertson’s is closing down, and they’ve only got a limited number of supplies. The cashiers here are very, very slow!!! And, forget about customer service here.

If only I could put minus star. This place is now called El super. This place is very dangerous to buy meat all meat product is spoiled. I got chicken wing Friday. 9÷28÷12 put in refrigerator took out to make on Saturday morning 9÷28÷12 it smelled so bad and I didn’t have my receipt anymore so I called the store. They told me to bring back and they will exchange. So, I spoke with manager Chuck who was also dealing with another customer complaining. He look so frustrated and told me to take meat back to deli & see if they got anything better. So I got other meat from the deli guy he and that I’m not the first to complain they get all of the meat returned all the time. Hsaid they get meat frozen than they leave out for 2 days before they put out to sell. I was so discussed and couldn’t get my money back cuz manger Chuck was MIA. Chicken smelled like dish soap had to trash it.

I absolutely hate this place and can’t believe there are positive reviews for it. #1. Almost EVERYTHING is overpriced. If your place is called«valu plus market», i expect my money to go a long way. #2. Way crowded. It’s a real hassle parking here. #3. Caters exclusively to one ethnic group. That’s fine, whatever. But when you don’t feel welcome by the looks the workers give, then I can go elsewhere. P. S. A time or two I’ve been here I’ve seen the banana section rotting in front of everyone. That’s a health hazard. AVOID!

I was visiting Anaheim and used this grocery store to buy some snacks and lunch items. What I bought seemed reasonably priced and the selection was good; the produce was good too. I think if I knew a little spanish and was more familiar with Mexican food(beyond tacos and burritos) I’d probably be more excited about this market, it seems like a quality place.

Valu+ has two-day specials on Wednesdays and Thursdays so go shopping during these days. For example, they had 8lbs of oranges for $ 0.99 — no limit, 7lbs of cucumber $ 0.99 — no limit. It makes you wonder what the heck is the point of growing it, picking it, selling it, etc. I understand that sometimes you lose money on certain items to draw in customers but even with effort I fail to spend more than $ 30 here.

I’ve always passed on the place in the past. I just didn’t see past the bums outside asking for money, but when you need those specific items you can’t get at those American markets(*cough* Fresh n Easy *cough* Ralphs) this is your place. This is where I get my fresh tortillas, specialty cheeses, and produce. The place is relatively clean, the prices are fine, and they have all the ethnic food that you would never see at the normal supermarket.

I recently moved out of the Garden Grove area and yet I still make the drive here to purchase all my produce and fresh meats. The prices can’t be beat, and with the exception of a few occasions where I found fruit that was near rotten, the produce is as fresh as you would find in any higher-priced chain grocery store. The real perk of this store, however, is the carniceria section, where they serve up any kind of fresh meat you could possibly want at a fraction of the price of other stores. Furthermore, in my experience the staff have always been extremely friendly. One older lady that seems to be there every time I come to shop even gave me free samples of a skincare line one of her cousins makes, and wonder of wonders, after using the face mask my skin actually feels just as good as when I get a professional facial! You never know what you’ll find at this gem of a store, dingy and unpromising as the outside may look.

This supermarket has great prices, and for the most part has what I need. Some employees need to fix their attitudes, especially the cashiers. They seem to always be mad at something, if your mad that your working … then quit your job… other than some lame cashiers. this store is good.

Okay, to be honest, I didn’t have a very favorable view of this supermarket in the past. The outside is on this side of dingy and that corner of the complex is a bit messy. Lemme tell y’all, the inside looks NOTHING like the outside. This supermarket is spacious and clean while providing lower priced items with high quality. They even have an extensive food court where I can find my beloved agua frescas made everyday. I still need to check out some of the food but I can personally vouch for the tamales and the carnitas here. Mmm mmm good! Tip: This place has a nice selection of ethnic foods, especially South Asian and Middle Eastern. The produce found here are excellent on the whole and are lower in price than those you’d find in the mainstream supermarkets. Valu Plus deserves a look for those on a budget!
