CRAPSERVICE… Pat has no clue what she doing. Sets appt. & then calls back to set again… then CALLSTOCONFIRM&THEN cancels. Sad that our Home warranty stuck with this place… won’t even use if free!

First American Home Warranty company sent out Bartel’s Appliance company in Sept., 2013 to fix a broken burner in the two-year old cook top in our vacation home. The Bartel technician(the owner) lifted the cook top up by himself to diagnose the problem. He came back another day to fix the burner, arranging to do so on my last day in Placerville before returning to my primary residence in southern California. He asked me to lift the cooktop with him as it really is a two person job, so I did so. However, after fixing the burner, he put the cook top back without my assistance. I left later that day for my primary residence and when I returned a month later noticed I saw a large stress crack in the glass cook top. I notified Bartels but they refused to take responsibility. My home warranty company submitted a claim to Bartels’ insurance company, Hartford, but they said Bartel’s coverage does not extend to damage Bartels does while on the job. So that means they have no coverage for this AND they refuse to take responsibility!!! And they were extremely rude over the phone, as other reviewers have noted. Frankly, I’ve never dealt with a company that is this unprofessional. Bartels has told the warranty company, the state licensing board(where I lodged a complaint that they investigated and that is now formally recorded), and my husband that if we want them to replace the glass cook top, we need to take them to small claims court. How is that for customer service!!! They know we do not live in the area making small claims court difficult. I’ve talked to attorneys to represent us and we will have to go that route, suing outside small claims court for legals costs as well. This has taken a great deal of time to process these complaints through various channels and the atty says I can expect to get damages too. As someone who worked as an undergraduate for Ralph Nader’s Public Interest Research Group(a consumer protection org.), I am committed to seeing this through. Meanwhile, consumers need to beware of how this company responds to damage they cause while in your home.

Omg this owner came to my house to look at a dishwasher for a home warranty I purchased. Not only was he completely rude and non educational at all or about what happens from here he even had enough nerve to tell my dog to shut up when it was barking. This guy is a clown a joke anybody that would use this service must love to treat you with disrespect on top of that I had to pay him $ 60 and he yelled my card number out over the phone for everyone to hear this guy is a punk at the fullest. Ps this was the owner because I called the company to complain about the way I was treated and she hung up after telling me he’s the owner and said she won’t do anything about it. You go guys way to get more business!!!

Brandon was at my house to fix a dishwasher yesterday and he was awesome. He was the third repairman I’ve had work on this dishwasher in 5 months. He found what the other guys overlooked and fixed the real problem. I will use these guys for all my appliance work from now on.

We are professionals and understand the important value of excellent customer service, alongside with having competent, thorough and personable technicians and receptionists. This company failed all aspects. We have not received poor and disrespectful communication and incompetent service in a long time, and we are usually accommodating for mistakes, but their visits to fix our kitchen appliance was a waste of money and time… which by the way, did not get repaired. We do not recommend this company. They are not professional. Please take our advice and seek other more qualified appliance repair service professionals.

This is a horrible company that I will NEVER do business with again. We have been forced to use this company due to them being the only«authorized dealer» for our particular appliance, and this is the 4th time this same gentleman(I use this term LOOSELY) has been sent out. The repair technician is clearly disgruntled about his current position, uses profanity and treats customers with incredible disrespect! I am a business owner in the community, that SOLELY relies on customer service and if we EVER treated or spoke to our customers the way this man spoke to me and my family, we would be out of business. Shame on this company and shame on him. DONOTUSETHISCOMPANYFORYOURSERVICENEEDS.
