Extremely knowledgeable, helpful staff, with a great variety of everything a hardware store should have, it isn’t limited at all. Prices are not crazy either. Don’t waste gas going somewhere else if it is close to you, and If you need someone who knows what they are doing to help you think through a project, spend the gas to go here if you’re far.

Garden Valley, CA
This place has an old general store feel to it. Not so much in the product, but in the people and the atmosphere. Always friendly and helpful. Chatty and nit pushy.
Their prices are reasonable — not the cheapest, but if you figure what you would spend in gas to drive into town, they are always the better deal. And pretty consistently lower than others here on the divide.
But my favorite is their hay, the quality is awesome.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They will work with you on large quantity pricing to help you buy local. Wide variety of items to choose from. We always check her before going off the hill.
