Thought I give it another try. My son wanted horchata so we came here. Waiter needs some training in speaking loud. He mumbled the whole time. Then he got my son’s order wrong. How hard is bean and cheese burrito? He brought him beans and rice. He loves cheese which is why he wanted a bean and cheese burrito. Menudo was not so great. I don’t know if it was just me or I got this taste like they didn’t clean the pansa right. My enchiladas were bland. Nothing special. Rice tasted like tap water. I think all I really liked was my horchata.

The food was great. Authentic Mexican food. The prices are a little on the high side.

First time here based on Unilocal reviews. I’m always looking for any Mexican restaurant that serves good menudo. This is not the place. Soup was watered down and no flavor and meat was over cooked. Made me regret ordering it. Also over priced for what they offer. Medium bowl at $ 8.25 that I was able to finish in 4 minutes. 8oz coffee was $ 2.50 but I guess I could have gotten refills all day to get my meals worth. I’m sure their other food if good but this review is based on their below average menudo.

This place is a diamond in the rough. They have some of the best birria i have ever tasted. The seafood is also very good. Normally i stay away from mariscos unless thats all they serve, but they gave me a sample of ceviche and I was hooked. The staff is very friendly and attentive. *bonus they serve beer. Micheladas are on point!

I had the posole, it was terrible. The broth tasted watered down and old, no genuine flavor. That was my first and last visit, never again.

Located in Downtown Gardena. Good service. Tried shredded beef wet burrito plate with sour cream & guacamole and shredded beef taco & and chx enchilada combo. Wet burrito was good. Just right amount of beef with rice n beans. The taco and enchilada was mediocre. May come back for a second visit but we’ll not go out of our way. Good service but of course we were practically the only ones at that time for 6pm dinner.

I like this little spot when I’m having trouble making up my mind about what to get for lunch. I don’t like to eat too heavy at lunch unless I know I’m going to exercise it off later and I knew I was going to play some tennis later so I went with the chorizo and eggs and rice and beans with corn tortillas and I was lovin’ it! Its never really crowded either so I can relax and read my kindle while getting my chomp on…

I’ve only recently tried thier tacos when accompanying some co-workers who frequent this place. The chicken tacos are delicious(soft and hard shell)!! The other items on the menu look really good too; I’m told the shrimp coctel is very good. The employees here are also very nice.

I really like the food here. I absolutely love the pasole. The staff is very friendly. Sometimes it seems like they forget about you though, and don’t come back at all after your food is delivered.

I really wanted to like this place because it’s close to my house and serves beer… but, I didn’t like it. It wasn’t exactly bad, it just wasn’t that good. I had the chile verde burrito wet and my guy had a steak plate. There were a few fruit flies buzzing our table which didn’t add to the ambiance in a positive way. However, as mentioned in other reviews, the wait staff was friendly.

Solid spot for lunch. Doing the little things right: prompt, friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, solid housemade chips and salsa. I had special – enchiladas verde. Would recommend. Great flavor, quality tortillas… Even the refrieds were on point!

I love this place. The people are very nice and the food so far is great. I live in Walnut, CA and I am going to have Dinner tonight. I only went once and I was very pleased. It is not a fancy place but is great to eat there. The prices are reasonable.

I get these flyers on my door — especially when it’s boxing time. I guess they upgraded their restaurant and been wanting to try this place for awhile. We decided to call in from work to place a large order. We got the total and the woman on the phone said 20 minutes. We went to pick it up 30 minutes later… and it wasn’t ready. We waited, waited, waited, waited, waited… we noticed the manager or owner talking to someone, just shooting the breeze, no rush. We waited, waited, waited. The woman who had answered the phone was also the cashier and apologized and said it usually never takes this long. The manager was still talking. We were still waiting. Another 30 minutes go by. We’re still waiting. We should have gotten the hint and get our money back and go somewhere else. Good thing we have an hour for lunch. By the time the food was ready to go and we got back to work, we had 10 minutes left on our lunch break. Lousy service, the food was awful. Never again.

I come to this place at least once every two weeks. They waitresses are very friendly and efficient. The owner is almost always there in the kitchen, I’m pretty sure he’s one of the cooks which is always a good thing, especially for a restaurant that’s been around for years. My favorite thing to order there is there Coctel de Camaron(Shrimp Coctel). It’s just the right portion and they are very generous with the shrimp, which is a thumbs up.!! Their carnitas are pretty good too, not a fan of they’re carne asada but I’m not a big meat eater so it’s not an issue with me. The place has been around for a while so that just speaks for itself. Good place, good food & friendly service.

I love love love the wet burritos at this place! I usually get the lengua, which is fall-apart tender and very flavorful, but the plain old cheese and beans is delicious too. The portions are enormous, good enough for two, even three meals. Their refried beans and rice are so good you can pretty much just have those as a meal too. I once saw the chef yell at a passing homeless woman, go back into the kitchen and run outside with a container of rice and beans and hand them to her; how can you hate a place with a policy like that?

Wow this place was a shocker! The burritos are good! I had the Carnitas wet burrito. Make sure you ask what they put inside your burrito because you will get all kinds of surprises like onions, pico de gallo, tomatoes, etc. I ordered my with rice, beans, and carnitas only. Leave out all that other jazz. The food is tasty and the portions are large. A great value! If you’re in the area I recommend you stop in. I will definitely be returning to this place! Oh, and their chips and salsa are BOMB! I mean fresh and hot chips. IMPRESSIVE!

Ana’s is a nondescript little restaurant that blends right intothe main drag of Gardena, caddy-corner from the post office. It’s so unnoticeable that after having worked as an EMT in Gardena for almost 2 years, where my job is essentially to know my way around the city like the backof my hand, I didn’t even know it existed. Until I saw Caroline P’s Gardena list, which includes this little place. So inside, Ana’s has a couple rows of booths and a center aisle of tables, seating maybe 30 people all together. There’s an attached room with a dance floor for private events. Bottled beer is served, mostly Mexican beers and a few domestics. What sets Ana’s apart is the food and the prices. I got a wet burrito with onions, cilantro, refried beans(no lard), Spanish rice, and your choice of meat. I got shredded beef, which was quite satisfying. But I preferred the chicken, which was stewed and shredded. The burrito was smothered in enchilada sauce topped with cheese, and served with chips and fresh salsa. For $ 6.25. My partner got the horchata for 2 bucks more, which was actually home-made. He enjoyed it. The girls who work there were also very nice. The whole trip definitely warrants a return.
