Still bringing my F-​150 here since the first time.
Wanted to update my review because of an interesting learning experience.
Recently the battery died on my truck. I got it recharged for free at an O’reillys and brought it in the next day for the smog test. One of the things I like about bringing my car here is that before he starts he asks me if any of the warning lights were on. Since a check engine light’s an automatic fail.
When I didn’t pass and he asked if the battery died recently. He told me that when this happens certain data that the car stores in the computer gets erased.
That I passed the emissions test but with a lack of data from my car it wasn’t going to pass. His advice was drive it around for a while so that the sensor can start collecting data.
After that to take it to my mechanic to get the sensor checked. This would let me know if it was going to pass or not.
I followed his advice and it worked out just like he said.
There is a retest fee if you bring it back withing a certain amount of days but you don’t have to repay the full price. Definitely was a learning experience that hopefully you can all avoid.

I found Best Buy Smog on Unilocal because I had a bad experience at another smog shop. Kenny is truly an honest person and keeps it real. No beating around the bush like other places. I would definitely recommend Best Buy Smog to everyone that wants to smog their car!

Thanks Unilocalers! This place was close to work, so I popped in at 5pm on Friday night and was in and out in 10 minutes.

Location is near the corner of Normandie and 190^th Street. It is in the same plaza where Goodyear Tire is located but in the back. Kenneth was the master technician who serviced my smog. He was so friendly and service was fast. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. Price was fair too! I paid $ 39 for my smog.

Been coming here for 3 years now. Great service. The couple is great. Very attentive to customer. If the car getting smoged is stinky the lady will let you know to remain in your car. On their website they have a coupon for $ 15.00 off smog check. My total was $ 39.00 even.

Needed to get a smog check ASAP. Once I drove up I was greeted right away. I explained to the tech that I did not have my DMV paperwork. He said it was not a problem. He explained his prices and how long it would take. I wasn’t even there for 10 minutes, when he said he was done and my car had passed! The last smog place I went to, had taken about 30 minutes. I think I found a new spot for smog checks. This place is very clean and professional. The technician was very friendly and polite. If you’re in the area and need a smog check — this is place to go to.

Even though this smog check station has enough 5-​star reviews to rule the world, I am compelled to add another.
Upon arriving at Best Buy Smog, I was waved to drive my car into the garage without having to wait at all. It took about 10 painless minutes to get everything done.
Also, the man working there was extremely kind.
With the coupon on there website, I paid $ 39 for my 1998 Toyota 4Runner V6 4wd.

I’ve been coming here for a few years for their smog checks and it’s about time I reviewed this place. They get 5 starts for their efficiency and their honesty. This past year I brought my dad’s car in immediately we had the battery changed at Sears. When I told the technician’s wife about this she immediately said that she will check to make sure they didn’t interfere with the system with the battery change. If they did then my car would automatically fail the smog check and she didn’t want that to happen and she would suggest I drive it around more and then return the next day. Luckily when she checked everything was fine so they were able to go ahead with the smog check and the car passed. I feel they really want to help their customers and are not just out to get our money. I will continue to come back for future smog tests.

Easiest and quickest smog test I’ve ever had!!! It’s already one of those things that no one ever likes doing. Why does it sometimes have to be so pricey, take so much time, and have some long waits??? It’s pretty painless at Best Buy Smog even if it still wasn’t fun being required to get a smog test for my well maintained car.
For newcomers it’s easier to look for the big Goodyear Tires concrete building than trying to find Best Buy Smog since it’s in the back area. Plentiful spacious parking is available so you don’t have to do a thousand three point turns getting in and out like a lot of other car places in tight areas. Or just with so many cars in it’s lot that you could get stuck in a dead end easily.
I pulled into the lot, a nice lady helped me out, after a quick wait for one person ahead of me I was next! Minutes later I was finished! It was the fastest smog check I’ve ever had by a very efficient and nice crew. The guy who helped me seemed genuinely interested in his work and was pretty nice. The area for the smog check was extremely clean

Kenneth is an awesome guy. This is my second time coming to this location and both were such pleasant, quick, and hassle free experiences. In and out in less than 10 minutes both times. He sends the report directly to DMV and prints out a certificate for your records. Note that he is STAR certified for smog checks. There is a $ 15 off coupon on the website… check it out.

I always come here for smog checks. The technician is friendly and recognizes me every time, even with 4 different cars over the years. He has the lowest price of any place in the south bay. Just mention the coupon and he applies the discount, no need to print it out:

The service is fast and the wait time is usually only 5 – 10 minutes without an appointment. He is efficient and doesn’t even need your paperwork from the dmv. Just show up, hand over the key and give him a few minutes to process the smog check. If there is ever any issue with your car not passing, he can advise you how to correct it.

Back home, the «Smog test» is way easier and done from the convenience of your vehicle as well as free and after further investigation, and price checking I found this gem of a smog testing center! Well, this location was just as convenient as it could get.
Price was $ 36.50! Cheapest I found anywhere I looked.
