The so called person in charge cheated me at the register. I paid for 10 piece mixed chicken only order and the aas hole Obrie did not inform me that there were no wings and put substitute WITHOUTINFORMINGMETHECUSTOMER — that is not ok and he refused to give me information on the manager over him

Every time I come here the customer service is terrible. I repeated my order to the lady at the drive thru at least 3 times. It really seemed like she just wasn’t paying attention. What made my experience even more frustrating was the fact that I got home and my order was still wrong! That will def be the last time I’ll be giving them my money. I’d rather just drive a few blocks down the street to another chicken spot.

Horrible service! Got ignored when i was next to order i was standing ready to order and the cashier walked away to another register and starts taking a guys order that had just walked in. Was i standing at the wrong register? Idk the customer infront of me was paying at that one so figured i could order there and pay there aswell.

I’ve never actually eaten here. But I have stopped by more than a few times to pick up food for family. I really didn’t want to add this to the list of Fried Chicken places I’ve reviewed because well let’s just say I feel like I need to be aware of that number. All jokes aside. The service here is terrible. Every single time. They trick you though. I pull up(walk up to) the window and it’s all smiles and friendly voices, they take your order correctly. But then it takes a turn for the worst, each time it’s a 15 – 20 minute wait, and I’m not talkin’ during the lunch hour I’m talkin’ 9:30 on a Wednesday. I’m the only customer, there’s at least 2 people working still the wait. Then I get my order and it’s the order of someone who ordered after I did? I don’t know how the hell they pulled that one off but damn, my hats off to you on a new level of messing up. Long story short I’m not coming back. Just thought I’d leave them their due. I would give one star but they never messed up my change so that’s got to be worth something.

Please don’t go here. Save yourself the money and pay a couple extra bucks for better food and service. The customer service is awful here. There were 2 people including myself waiting for food. Yet the wait took forever and i had to remind the lady to give me a pie i ordered. Then i walked out and forgot they didn’t give me a drink with my meal. Awful.

I had my worst encounter with this place earlier tonight. The drive thru line took about 30 minutes even though there were like 5 cars in front of me. So frustrating when it’s supposed to be fast food but I stuck through with the long drive thru. By the time I finally got to order they had the nerve to tell me there was no more chicken? It’s a fried chicken place!!! I understand they were closing soon but it was like 15 minutes before closing time and I had just waited 30 minutes in drive thru. Probably never coming here again until management decided to care about their establishment. How can a fried chicken place be out of chicken???

I bought the 3pc for $ 2.49 on a Thursday for work. When I started to eat it the chicken was raw in the middle.

I was in the area and stopped here to get some lunch. I’ve been here a few times. I consider this place to be one of the better Churchs I’ve been to this year. I ordered using one of my paper coupons. The hispanic cashier gave me my coupon back and said I can use it again. That right there was a great gesture. I will use it again before it expires in 26 days. The chicken tasted like good churchs chicken. It was nice and crunchy. I love the batter they use for their chicken. That’s what separates this chicken from KFC. The biscuits are also nice and buttery. Mashed potatoes tasted good as well. I’ve ordered corn from them before and it was great. There are no complaints about this particular location. People who complain about greasy chicken probably never tried churchs. All of their chicken is a little greasy. It’s better than that overpriced KFC crap. This is the best cheap fried chicken that money can buy.

I would rate my first time experience as blah. I imagined this place like a Kentucky fried chicken. Chicken was not up to par for me. Tried the spicy chicken which was too hard and crunchy. Also the side of jalapeño poppers were so oily. Could not finish them unfortunately.

This is the second Church’s Fried Chicken I have been to in thirty years this month. I needed to see if they would be consistent with the shrimp platter. I was not disappointed. Better yet, the young lady that served us at the drive up window was extremely helpful and just as nice. Even if the food had not been what I desired, I would have driven away disappointingly happy. That’s how I often feel when I am not happy with the business but pleased with the staff. I gave this visit three stars because the food was okay and the server was delightful. I went short of any more stars because the high cost of the food at Church’s. $ 8 for three pieces of chicken, Cajon rice and a drink? I don’t get it. Side notes… The Cajon rice was over cooked. Just not as good as Popeye’s dirty rice. I also find it interesting that in the Philippines, all of the fast food joints have fried chicken. Most of them taste just as good or better than KFC. Yes, that includes Windy’s, McDonalds, Burger King, Jollibee, Chow King. Everyone has fried chicken there. I didn’t see a Carl’s Jr or Church’s though. There are even more people selling fried chicken on the side of the road. Most taste better than the average fast food joint here in America. Why is it so difficult to cook tasty fried chicken?

They are not good like they used to be very greasy and the fries was soft and limp. Will not return

When chicken is in the name of a restaurant, you expect that to be the best item on the menu. In this case it was the opposite. I went in at about 8:30 pm, and I’m pretty sure the 2 chicken tender meals that I got had been sitting on the counter since the dinner rush. They were not even warm when I bit into them. I literally had to heat them up in the microwave when I got home. The chicken was a little better warm, but neither I, nor my girlfriend could manage to put down more than one before throwing the rest in the trash. The coleslaw(even though I ordered mac-n-cheese), mashed potatoes, and biscuits were all very good though. So if you’re the type of person that goes to a chicken place only for the sides, this is the place for you!

If there is one thing I hate its when you order one thing and receive another. Against my own judgement I forgot to check prior to leaving but it was late and I was hungry. The cs attitude was very good but none of that means anything if I cannot even eat what I paid for.

The service was bad. I had to give my order a few times and it was still messed up. The men’s bathroom had no soap and the door wouldn’t lock. It was like this a couple of months ago and the door should be fixed by now. The food, however, was good.

By far the best restaurant fried chicken I’ve ever had… yes, I’m talking to you Honey’s Kettle. The juiciest and most flavorful white meat ever, and more incredible was the outside was still perfectly crispy. Don’t be scared of hood jr.(Gardena), it’s well worth it to come out and enjoy all that it offers. I’m sad that I grew up just a few miles from a couple of Church’s Chicken places, but never knew because my parents wouldn’t let my brother and I go east of Crenshaw and north of Imperial. If it wasn’t for yuppy Unilocal,I would never have known all the great places that exist in my backyard… now go get some amazing Chicken! And as everyone knows, the honey butter biscuits are in a league of their own. Just make sure to buy enough, because they’re small. Only 4 stars though because the sides need help. Mashed potatoes are ok, but nothing special. Fried okra is probably the best side. Mac n Cheese is not good at all. If I may, let me suggest that you walk over next door to Eli’s/Matthew’s Homestyle Home Cooking and pick up a large mac n cheese — it’s seriously delicious(literally next to Church’s). However, their chicken isn’t as good as Church’s — but definitely worth a try. Oh, and the drive thru is so quick and efficient — the ladies working there are also very friendly. FRIEDCHICKEN… MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

their service was shitty as fuck. the employee hardly spoke english. she even got my order wrong. i didn’t want no fucking okra. i wanted coleslaw. shit doesn’t even sound the same. other than that, plus their slow-ass service, the chicken was cooked all right, and they still have some of the better chain biscuits.

Fried. Chicken. Crispy, oily goodness, get in my mouth. They make it well, no soggy pieces in my batch, just crispy goodness. I have no preference from that other military dictator’s chicken vs. this god-fearing chicken. they all have their merits. One star off for the«spicy» not actually being spicy. I was disappointed. Don’t ever disappoint me. Ever. Have a nice day(c:

By far the best Church’s Fried Chicken I have been to. That’s all I have to say! Chicken is always fresh when I go.
