Elks Lodge

Came here for my good buddy/​brother from another’s Dad celebration of life, I’ve been to this lodge before since my buddy is a member so it is a nice place to hang the member privileges are cool as far as use of this place. As long as my buddy is a member i’ll be back.

I had my only daughter Quinceanera and had a terrible experience on the day of event with Vito the manager there he was ok when we sign contract but on the day of event he was a nightmare He was rude to my vendors and some of my guest he was constant walking around and watching everything like we where doing something wrong very uncomfortable ruin it for me and my husband to enjoy this special day for our only daughter. Wish I never held our event there. It was hot that day and air conditioner not working guest were hot and he said it was working but it wasnt and i check and it was not on. NEVER AGAIN. I never write reviews but if i can save others from spending their hard earn money. Huge regret.

I’ve“ve booked this venue for my wedding reception. It holds 299 people (why not 300 is beyond me). It is located in a good area and right across from a police station. The room is huge! It comes complete with chairs, white linen & coffee station (huge saver for me). They do not cover the chairs. They do have a kitchen & offer catering if needed. I am opting to bring in my own vendor who can use the kitchen at no additional coast. They do have a bar that they run, and my vendors can set up as early as 9 am. The price is great for a Saturday $ 1600.00 with a $ 450.00 deposit which is refundable within 10 days. You do have to a walk through of the building prior to your event for deposit purposes. You must get a security guard which they have a preferred one, or find your own with a license, and you must obtain a permit from the city. You can not nail anything in the walls or tape things to the walls. The ceiling is not the best looking so I did inquire about draping it and was told as long as if it wasn’t flammable then it should be OK. I have the room from 4pm to midnight and everyone has to be off the premises by 1 am. (Sweet). The event person (Vito) is a Gem he took the time out to go through everything with me and worked around my busy schedule to met my needs. A true pleasure to work with. The day I went to see the building they were setting up for a sweet 16 birthday party. I have attached pictures. Over all my experience so far has been great,. «Fun» Fundraiser Events are being held at the Gardena Elks Lodge!
2011 has seen Retro Disco Night in February and it was a blast! Over 230 people some dressed in their 70’s finest and few in the 80’s wear. I’ll post a couple pictures here soon. Last week «Shamaroke» (karaōke) and dancing was filled with over 70 fun folks singing thier hearts out and dancing til after midnight. Great DJ and some good food and extremely reasonably priced drinks. The end of April brings an early start to Cinco de Mayo festivites. If you havent been to the Elks in awhile or never, you are MISSING out. This isn’t just your grandpa’s kind of place anymore!!!
