This is my son and I new lunch spot. He loves Korean BBQ and they ladies are always so sweet with him. Been coming here for some years now. Never tried the AYCE but I stick to my bibimbap and bulgogi, we good to go. Always come out super full and satisfied.

For me, this is the best Korean BBQ in the south bay area. The Bulgogi is delicious, as well as the sides, and the staff is nice and friendly, and importantly, patient with people who don’t know what any of the items on the menu actually are.

Maeuntang(sp?) is the hot seafood stew and it was delicious! Dolsut(sp?) is the hot stone Bibimpop rice dish with veggies and meat — made to perfection. Banchans were fresh. Service delighful. Nice ambience. Loved it.

Nice environment. Clean, good booth seatings. Several televisions. Middle age women as your waitress. I enjoy eating at this restaurant due to the variety of the meat here. The soup is amazing and the dessert is great too! What was so disappointing was when the woman did not want to give us more meat because she thought we had too many on the table -.- Mmmmm. Sorry but you don’t know us and how much we are capable of eating. You should give us what we order and we didn’t have much on our table by the way. And I say this because I go here every so often and that was the first time, and I lost my appetite. The parking is spacious here, and it’s great for big party because they can put the tables together in the other room.

More often than not AYCE Korean BBQ goes hand in hand with poor service, but not here. They were attentive, quick and genuinely pleasant and changed the grill without us asking after our first round of meat. The BBQ beef was a favorite. We will definitely be coming back.

Worst service ever! Will never come here again!!! They didn’t even change the grill! We only asked for three diferent types of meat and none were to say delicious! I decided to not leave tip since they weren’t even offering anything and they still followed us and said«hey no tip» such rude people in there! They shouldn’t be harrasing anyone for tip! There’s a limited selection of meats here for the cheaper $ 20AYCE option. This includes brisket, tripe, spicy pork, and other basic options. Meat quality was okay, got the job done of filling my party’s empty stomach at 9:30 pm. It’s pretty cool that there are adjustable dividers in the dining area to provide privacy for groups. Also, this is my first time going to a restaurant with a heated toilet with nether region cleaning options. Service was decent. My group came in around 45 minutes before closing and the waitresses hesitated on seating us because it was likely we’d stay past closing hours. The manager allowed us to sit. We did stay past closing and it was very apparent the waitresses were trying to rush us out. I’m kinda torn where I think«if you knew this would happen, then you should have redirected us somewhere else.» Plus side: all our food came out super fast since they wanted us gone haha. Overall, this place is okay. Not a memorable kbbq establishment. We only chose this place because it was open somewhat late compared to other nearby ayce kbbq

I went to Jang Soo with my father and Step-mother, who is Korean. They recommended this restaurant and are weekend regulars. Since we were a party of 5, we opt’d for one of their shared combination meals for 5 people offering 4 different cuts of beef and pork belly served with vegetables and a salad. It’s a typical Korean BBQ table with the grill in the center of the table. The staff was great and very attentive and made sure we always had a fresh clean grill. The price was very reasonable for 5 hungry adults. $ 130.00 with tax, no alcohol beverages.

This place gives you really good portions with every order which is what I liked, but The food was pretty ok and the service was average. Softdrinks can get expensive as they don’t offer any refills. The worst part about my experience came after we paid our bill. The servers will harass you until you pay what they think they deserve for a tip. I’m never coming back here again. Manna Korean BBQ in Little Tokyo is my favorite place and it’s a whole lot better than this dump.

This place is an under appreciated haven for kbbq! I think their location limits their number of customers but had they been located somewhere else they’d be crawling with customers waiting in line outside. This is the best spot for quality bbq without the 1.5hr wait. They have all the traditional korean comfort food as well as an all-you-can-eat bbq. It’s a great bang for the buck with good quality! Btw, the sweet ladies there give embarrassingly good customer service. Thumbs up!

Jang Soo is our go to in Gardena when we don’t want to drive up to K Town. Great quality and service. Even with all of the competition in the area, they remain very consistent.

Came here about a week ago to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday. We had a party of 16 people and since we knew it was the weekend we tried calling all day Friday and Saturday to reserve one of their private rooms. Well no luck at all we thought they had shut down the place since they never bothered to answer their phone. We eventually went to see that they were open. Once we told them that we were a large party of 16 people. The older lady starts complaining that why didn’t we call to make a reservation. I told them AND showed them the evidence that we constantly called for two days. She just looks over the other younger lady and start talking in Korean. God knows what they said to each other. I told my husband that we should go somewhere else once the older lady heard me she started moving a group that was already settled down and eating their food. Omg ! Really ?! Well we eventually decided to stay since she decided to remove the previous group out from the private room. Once we all settled and my entire party showed up and started eating they would ask the older lady for certain stuff and she would say they didn’t have that or they couldn’t bring it out. Wtf?! Seriously! Each member of my party is paying over $ 30 and you can’t seem to bring them what they are asking. My friends husband is korean so he would talk to them in Korean to ask them for certain things they older lady refused to talk a single word in Korean to him. So far I was pretty irritaded at the fact that this lady kept being a bitch to my party. Once we had finished my husband opened his gifts and had a couple of laughs and cupcakes, the lady gives me the check and she told me that she didn’t add the gratuity into the total that she would leave it to us on how much we should give her. She decided to add what she thinks she deserved for her shitty service 18% or 20% out off a $ 600 check. Wow are you kidding me after you still give my entire party shitty ass service and kept saying no to my party you still ask for a 18−20% tip?! We split the check evenly into my party. And for tip we decided to give her only what she deserve and I still though we were being generous 15%. So we all gathered our money. She took the money and came back saying that money was missing from her tip. Eventually she came back not pleased saying that there’s only $ 30 for tip. Nope we decided to give her $ 80 tip and eventually $ 50 magically disappeared. Really?! What happened is that she was not pleased from her tip and decided to screw us over for more money. Since we were tired of arguing with her we gave her $ 30 and left. We used to come to this place before and we have had that same lady as our server. Don’t know why that day she decided to be a major bitch and ruin it. We won’t be coming back ever! You lost good customers.

Went to this plaza to check out the Green Room, only to find it has now closed. So, we ended up at Jang Soo Jung. The food was just meh. We ordered the abalone porridge(flavorless), the stir fried octopus(super chewy), and the bossam. The bossam was decent, but the oysters were still frozen. Typical of many Korean restaurants, had to ask several times for refill on water. All in all, not recommended. Get your Korean food fix elsewhere.

This place is terrible. Take your business and your money elsewhere! The waitress(older Korean lady with short hair) has no idea how to do her job. My family and I came in on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was EMPTY. We were shown where to sit, but it took 15 minutes before she even came to take our order. And we had to flag her down for it! Not only that, we were never even given menus! I had to go and get them myself in the front by the register! After she took our order she walked away before I could even mention to her about our drinks, which she failed to even ask us what we wanted. I was already highly irritated at this point, as I am a waitress myself and have high expectations of all waitress/waiters. Anyways, I had to tell HER what we wanted to drink even though she never asked us. Throughout our meal she never checked on us once, we had to flag her down for refills on water(Which she had a fkn attitude abt the entire time!), the fire went out on its own, and we had to stack our dishes on the table next to us bc she never came by to pick them up! When we were nearing the end of our meal(we weren’t there for long and we did not order much even though we all got AYCE’s), a large Korean family came in right next to us and were treated like some VIP fkn royalty, top class fkn treatment and to top it off! Whn it came time to pay! She got a fkn attitude bc we didn’t tip her! «Oh what. No tip?!» I couldn’t believe it! In a moment of trying hard to refrain from cussing her the hell out in front of our children, I simply walked away and as soon as I reached for the door handle to exit — she says under her breathe«Say something!» … Lmao yeah… at that point I let her have it and she’s lucky all she got was cussed out as livid as we were! TIPPINGISNOTMANDATORYINANYSERVICE!!! Especially when your business is terrible and you have idiots as employees! Worst customer service experience EVER! The food was good; however, for a $ 20 meal per person you can find somewhere way better in customer service! Save your time and frustration and go somewhere else! Bc unless you feel like slapping the shit out of someone on your night out, DONOTCOMEHERE!

IFYOU’RELOOKINGTOSPEND $ 20/PERSON FORPLATESOFFROZENASS, THISISYOURSPOT Expectations were too high for this place. To be paying $ 20 for KBBQ is a luxury but this place has the quality of a $ 10KBBQ spot. I’ve been to spots in Koreatown and Cerritos, but this spot is one of the lowest. Silverware wasn’t clean, the grill cooks poorly, the rice tastes like it hasn’t been washed, service sucks fucknuggets, and I waited over 15 minutes just to be served water. The BBQ beef(bulgogi) tastes like warm beef jerky and the seasoned beef is freezer burned. 1 star pero like the short ribs were ight and the guy in the front was friendly. If you’re trying to bring some out of town family/friends, go to Gen nearby or Hae Jang Chon in Ktown for a better experience. Nothing sucks more than paying a lot of money for shitty food with shitty experiences.

Living in Gardena, I pretty much have months where I only eat Japanese food! One day I was craving Korean BBQ and was too lazy to drive to Dat Maat or Guhmok in Torrance. My husband recommended this place since his Korean boss takes him there a lot for lunch. They have a very good AYCE menu for $ 17.99. The second option with more meats and seafood is $ 24.99. The first option is enough though. Most of the customers order Korean bbq or their giant soups with a tray of fresh veggies you see being served all the time. There are a lot of Korean soups and stews I am not familiar with; however I can vouch for their dumpling stew which you can have with rice cake and their bulgogi which is served in a perfectly balanced sweet/spicy marinade. I have eaten here 4 or 5 times and the servers are always busy, but you do have a bell to ring if you need something quickly. Sometimes they take too long to refill your water/tea. Note that soda is by the can here. Also, sometimes they take things off their menu or alter it slightly. I know my to-go menu has some items they no longer serve. The last time I ordered the Gulbossam it was $ 5 extra for the oysters, so I just got the pork. I asked for small and it was HUGE. The portions here are pretty large, so IMO the prices are really fair. If you come for lunch, their specials are around $ 10 and come with rice, kimchee, and their selection of banchans. I like the fish cake, spicy cucumber and bean sprouts the best. They will refill any sides that you want more of, too. The nice server we had bagged my to-go leftovers like a pro and even separated some items with foil — really nice of her! Their rice drink at the end is always a good way to end the meal and clean your palate. This restaurant is located in the 99 cent plaza off Normandie and Redondo Beach Blvd with easy parking.

Great Korean restaurant! So far everything I’ve tried from this place has been delicious. Their lunch bulgogi is a pretty small about but it comes with a bunch of different sides so you still get full. The beef tofu soup is really good too! Unlike most places, they don’t skimp on the meat in the soup, it’s an equal balance of tofu and beef. I also like that they give you a small dessert at the end! Atmosphere is open and the waitresses have always been attentive whenever I’ve gone. It’s a great place for groups. Plus they have all you can eat options for lunch and dinner! I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you are in the area

Decent AYCEKBBQ in Gardena. Came here with my co-workers(16 of us) for lunch. Luckily one of our guys is fluent in Korean so we were served quickly and efficiently. I remember the short ribs, brisket, and tongue being really good. Only downer is there’s a limit(2) on the short ribs. Those were my favorite. Tender and flavorful. $ 17.99 p/p
