Maki Yaki 5

I always get the baked salmon roll! My god, it’s the best thing on this earth! Always made to perfection. It is definitely a mandatory item even if I get anything else! You must try it! yum yum yum!

Dinner after a massage. We went in almost closing time. Still accommodated. We tried this place cause it was right next to the massage place we went to. So. Out of laziness to drive around. We tried it. :D
Anyways. We ordered the Super Maki Combo which had Bbq Chicken, cali and crunch rolls, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura and salad. We also added a plate of the Hawaiian Roll thinking the combo plate might not be enough for both of us. But turns out, the combo plate’s serving was good for 2! They had good equal portions of the food included in the combo plate. Also, any order of sushi roll comes with a bowl of Miso soup. It was nice of the owner to provide us two bowls with one order of sushi. :)
I would recommend and will definitely go back to this place. Food is good with reasonable serving size at an affordable price. The service is good and quick too.

I love the tempura is always made to perfection, the bento boxes are a great meal to get a little of everything.

It was my daughters 18^th birthday. To celebrate she asked for sushi. We looked for decent places that a family of 5 coould afford and we happened upon Maki Yaki 5. The prices were so reasonable that we let our daughter run wild. portions are fantastic and taste excellent. We have found a new sushi place.

I can never get enough of this place! You would never guess that the food here would be this great because of the location, but the food is delicious and has been consistent for years. My favorite orders here are the hot night, tempura tofu plate, and the shrimp tempura udon. I think this restaurant is such a hidden gem, tasty food for a great price. Service is quick and friendly and the owners are the cutest!

Love this place! The food is tasty, the service is awesome, the prices are affordable, and the restaurant is clean. The tempura and philadelphia roll are my favorite. Udon isn’t bad either.

I’ve come here twice and both times the food was delicious! It did NOT disappoint. I worked down the street at the time and I even got my coworker to try it. I grabbed sushi both times, but I will happily go back because of their extensive menu options. Great food, awesome price. It won’t disappoint.

The food is top quality for such a low price. This is our new go-​to place since we moved down the street. We love the shrimp tempura, udon, teriyaki chicken roll, California roll, for starters. Most meals come with some tasty miso soup. The service is very nice.

Really bad experience they giving free insects on you meals this happens to me I take everything back owner make his attitude I don’t care I get my money back and never came again to this place only if I want some trash

Great service and beautiful sushi for the price. I loved the shrimp crunch roll, bakes salmon roll, California roll and the box specials highly recommend for anyone who wants quality sushi.

One of our goto places for a quick lunch or dinner. The owner is awesome and spoils us a bit with giving my mom miso soup as well when she orders Udon. The other workers will not give it as she is already ordering soup and will charge her. The Maki Yaki Combo has all the fixings and i have not been disappointed as of yet.

Super Maki Special roll a must for me. Miso soup make me so hony! Half beef and half chicken terry off the hook! Great service, place super clean. Always have Maki Yaki. Temped to try the philly sandwiches but… I dunno.

Great place! Great food! And great costumer service! The owner is usually there and is always very friendly. I enjoy going for dinner. Always music and great atmosphere. Lunch box special is a great buy.

One of the best mom n pop japanese restaurant in Gardena. Clean place and very good food plus free Miso soup!!! One of my fave place in the area. I suggest you try this place and be hooked!!!

Was too lazy to load up the baby to pick up some sushi so I decided to give this place another chance. I played it safe this time and went with a shrimp tempura roll, green dragon, and crunch roll. The delivery was quick and the quality seems much better compared to last time.

Kind o overlooked, which makes it a good place for a quick lunch, the food is pretty good, the staff very friendly, and the place is very clean. pricing is very reasonable with a petty varied menu. The miso soup, included with meal, was tasty. Hadn’t been here in a while and forgot how convenient it is.
Food was plentiful and tasty, freshly cooked. Hidden gem.

Their Hot Night roll is good, but the Gyoza was over cooked. If you are only going for some sushi rolls be prepared to pay about 10 bucks a roll. Their basic California rolls and spicy tuna rolls are cheaper and they also come in most of the combos.
It’s a small little sushi shop. The two times I’ve been, the service has been a little slow despite there not being any other people. If you are willing to wait, the food is pretty good. It’s worth a try.

Chicken Teriyaki!
This location serves up the most Delicious Chicken Teriyaki around. The Restaurant is always very clean and has a very calm ambience. I dine at this location at least twice a month, and they never let down :)
The only down side is they Do Not Open on SUNDAY!
