I’m addicted to this place. I live 2 blocks from here & eat here often. I love that they serve brown rice! The food is healthy and always tastes great. I love avocado, & there’s is always ripe to perfection.

Started going there about four months ago, it was great. Last night about 8:00 pm i went to pick up same thing I have been getting, took it home, sat down to eat and found that the chicken was half of what I normally get .
So make sure if you take out, check it out first before leaving, otherwise they won’t do a damn thing about it.
Flame boil always gives the same amount sometimes more!

The customer service sucks! Especially Karen! They act like you are there for them, not the other way around. This is the rudest waba grill I’ve ever been too. Most others are friendly and inviting. Wish I had another closer to my house.

Rude ass customer service! The girl Karen in the front has horrible customer service !! Waited and waited till I finally told her if she can take my order after her standing around and the other girls. Never coming back!

So I recently got addicted to this place… Kidding, but very serious. There’s teriyaki all over now days and this is one of the many chains that have started up in the area, as a result I gave it a shot and love it for the most part. I can say, almost shamelessly, that I’ve tried everything on the menu.
You pretty much have the option of a bowl or plate, which consists of the bed of brown, or white rice topped with a heaping hunk of chicken, beef, salmon, or shrimp with the option to add steamed veggies and or avocado.
Their plates range from $ 8 – 10.50 and their bowls range from about $ 6 – 9. I personally like to stick to the plate or bowl, with chicken and or steak. The shrimp, and salmon are okay but I think they’re better without the Waba Sauce. Which they sell in store by the bottle incase your embarrassed to fill up 17 little plastic cups, which I am not.

I am new to the area & I had a place where I lived that was similar to this place. I must say for the price and amount of food I got it was GREAT! First time trying it out & I guarantee I will return. The sauce was delicious and so was the chicken. I bought a chicken bowl with veggies and rice. Great first impression for a newbie!

The crew here were very friendly, greeting you as you come in and when you leave. The food was very good — Good size and good price. I was expecting a very salty meal but it was very well balanced. Will return next time i’m in Gardena.

I heard a lot of people talking about this place and how yummy it is. I came here and ordered the chicken bowl with avocado.
The place had about four people eating in the dining area. I had one order ahead of me and I waited about ten minutes to get my order.
The person behind the counter was friendly and bagged my order neatly. She put the avocado in a separate container so when I ate the avocado it was nice and fresh. The chicken tasted good but the rice was not fully cooked and was a bit crunchy.
For a place that makes a lot of rice you would expect fully cooked rice. I will give this place another try soon and update my review.

I tried this place for the first time, and I’m hooked… I go to the gardena location on western /​rosecrans. very clean, and not too small.
Now the only thing that kept me from posting the 5th star was the rice… Both times I went in there, the rice I’m used to for hawaiian/​asian cooking is the moist sticky type of rice… both times I went in the rice although cooked, was sort of couple notches above barely cooked, and was dry… Not sure if they always make it like that there, or at other locations, but that needs improvement… Next time I go in there for the third time, if its like that again, I’ll ask about it. Other than that, great place to go. Your a asian restaurant, get the most basic of things correct, the RICE peeps!!!

Usually stop at this spot for lunch while I’m at work before I head to the gym. I get the half and half bowl with avocado, gives me the protein I need and ready to get my workout in, foods great.

This is my go-​to place for a quick delicious protein meal. I normally get the salmon bowl with added avocado but everything else here is good too. I literally ate nothing but this place for a solid month, which says a lot because I’m a finicky eater. The people here are good at what they do and always have service with a genuine smile.

Food is great. Everyone loves the chicken bowl, I get the salmon veggie bowl. I’ve been to a couple of Waba Grills, this one had good parking, nice to eat in, and has friendly staff.

I’ve never tasted Waba Grill until just recently and I must say it is very tasty. I’m a big fan of flame broiler so this is a step above. They also have shrimp and Salomon… yummnmy

WaBa Grill is amazing for quick, cheap, but extremely delicious Chinese food, sit-​down or on-​the-​go. I go there on about a monthly basis and whenever I don’t feel like cooking. I recommend the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl w/​white rice and extra sauce: like I said, cheap, but delectable. Keep in mind, this is a HEALTHY Chinese food stop. No grease or trans fats. I’m coming here every week now!

I like Waba Grill… I’m always at the one in Torrance… but this location is definitely NOT like the Torrance location.
The cashier here is not very friendly… she was either mad at the world or hates her job or both… and I’m pretty sure I witnessed some food safety violations… she was the cashier and also prepping the food w/​out using gloves and/​or washing her hands.
Also the one in Torrance is not only friendlier, but also Faster.

Good lunch, good price, nice soft rice.
I came here for lunch today, was pretty good. Solid 3 stars. If you are looking for a good, cheap chicken and rice bowl, this place is tasty.
I would say this is on the same level as flame broiler.

My eating partner in crime aka the hubbs mentioned a place called «Waba Grill» a few weeks ago and I promised to give it a try. Yesterday he made me keep that promise and I have to admit I’m glad he forced me to give it a try. Waba Grill is by far better than Flame Broiler and I really liked their Teriyaki Sauce much more than FB’s «Magic Sauce». I ordered the Chicken Bowl with white meat and extra scallions and it was delicious. The chicken was moist and the rice was sticky, but not gross. The young lady working at the counter was pleasant and the service was fast and the restaurant was super clean. It’s actually decorated really well and there’s a GIANT TV on the wall. I’ll definitely go back again and I’m glad we have another great Teriyaki spot in the area.

Waba ia similar to Flame Broiler but it is not better in quality.
Although the location is clean and big, I probably will not visit again because the chicken that came with the chicken bowl I ordered wasn’t hardly nutritious. It was over grilled and dry. I feel so sorry for my insides after ingesting that meat.
Customer service was okay and my food was ready in about 7minutes
**Lots of flies inside.
