Just moved to the outskirts of Birmingham AL and if I had a choice I certainly would not be using this cable company. My elderly grandmother pays roughly $ 30 for ten channels. All of these channels have a poor picture on a new tv. We understand that the next step is to pay more money to get HD. I guess we wish we had options. It wouldn’t be so bad if the customer service were quality and we got more than ten channels for $ 30. If you have a choice do not go with this company!

We were pleased with our charter service until this year. I had 4 scheduled appointments(over 6 weeks) to resolve issues that could not be remotely corrected. At least 2 of the appointments were either delayed or missed by Charter. I had 11 days of interrupted service. During the most recent incident, the remote corrections did not work so the agent scheduled an appointment between 1:00 and 3:00. At 3:30 I called to inquire and was told my appointment was tomorrow between 8:00 — 10:00. I told the agent I would never agree to that time because I would not be home. The Charter representative credited my account by $ 22.00. If you add up the hours on the phone, rearranging my schedule to be home and the interrupted service I believe Charter needs to credit my account for 308 hours@$ 10/hr: $ 3080. The agents and technicians were professional, respectful and tried to be accommodating. Charter has a problem with organization and communication within their departments. That is a management problem.

We love the product, but loathe having to deal with either calling, or technicians. We were scheduled for 3 – 5 one day, and the tech didn’t make it. Upon calling at 6 pm we were advised that he was en route. He arrived around 8pm and we gone after 9. We’ve had several issues with the required digital boxes not activating, as well as having increasing issues with service. Loss of internet here and there during weekday afternoons, and cable outages more and more. Yesterday, the entire guide said«no data» all day, so it’s not like it was loading, it just wasn’t there. Get it together Charter.

Went with Charter Cable almost a year ago and got the packages that I liked because of the programs that were incorporated into those packages. Now they seem to have changed the packages they add and subtract your favorite channels without telling you. So if you want to get your channels back you have to add a $ 10 fee to go up to another package! Now when I wanted to call my sales rep from the Gardendale office they all changed their numbers so you can’t reach them when you want to ask questions! When you call their main number you get a runaround. I think Charter needs to wise up or they are going to lose a lot more customers! Will not be using this company again!!!

The worst company I have ever had to deal with. This is now my 3rd day of waiting for them to hook up my cable. The first day they said that they arrived at 10 am and no one was home. When in fact both my husband and I were home. I was pulling out my driveway at 10:00 am to leave for work and my husband was doing work outside the house. Funny how we both missed the charter truck. We then had to reschedule. The new time was from 8 am to 10 am. I begun calling at 8:05am. Was told repeatedly that I shouldn’t worry someone would be at my house to hook up the cable by 10:00 am. I called every 30 min and was told the same thing. So at 11:47 I had had enough and got very loud with them. I then had someone call me from a Georgia number trying to find out where my tech could be. At around noon I recieved another call from the same guy in Georgia to tell me that there was some sort of misunderstanding and unfortunately they would not be able to hook up my cable and that I would have to reschedule yet again. So here we are on day 3 of my misadventure with charter communications. It is now 2:08 and I still wAiting for a tech. They said they would be here between 1 and 3 today. The problem with that is I have to leave for work at 3 I told this to the Georgia guy yesterday and he assured me that their would be a tech at my house at 1:00. So much for his lies. So at 3:05 I will call charters again to see where oh where can my tech be. Why is it that we have an office here in Alabama but Everytime I called it’s to some other state or country. Why is it that I can’t seem to talk to the office here in Alabama where my tech is.
