Bam Jam Candy Shop

There was so many different candies to choose from i just got a little bit of everything. And of course I had to try the needhams chocolate that Maine is known for. There was also a variety of novelty items and the owner said he was trying to build a little movie area in the back that looked like it would be fun to bring the kids to.
It was nice to see this cute little candy shop open when it seems a lot of businesses on the main street have closed up shop. I hope it stays open for a long time and they are able to revitalize downtown and bring more business.

What a wonderful business to bring to the Gardiner Main Street. For those who aren’t entirely sure what this place is, let me explain. Bam Jam is a candy shop, but not just any ordinary candy shop. This place also sells imported candy from other countries! So all of you Aero bar fans like myself now have a local place to stock up on the goods! When you walk in the aroma is a mix between caramel and popcorn, it smells fantastic! I believe this place opened up in late October of 2014. The inside is a sort of «steam-​punk» theme. All the candy is out on tables that are placed around the store. The owner of the business is a pretty cool and social guy. He is really passionate about what he does, and is willing to track down a certain candy for you. This place offers candy baskets, birthday parties for kids, and there’s even a small area where movies are projected onto the wall. There is also a lot of throwback candies like now&later, skybar, mallo cups. There are also the classics such as gumballs, runts, and other assorted candies held in self-​serve glass jars.
I think this is a great idea, it will just take some time for this place to really come together and build a solid foundation.
Overall I think this business is very cute and is always worth a quick peek! There’s always something new. I mean come on, who doesn’t want to be in a store full of candy!
