What a fun place with a great hometown feel! I am going to tell Diners, DriveIns, and Dives about this place! The server was jovial and helpful and chatty, if not horribly overworked. Excellent pizza at very, very reasonable prices, for a resort town. The man making the pizzas tosses the dough himself, and it’s entertaining as hell to watch him work. He’s a machine.

I stopped here for lunch on my way to Yellowstone, and it was great. Really friendly service and a tasty pizza pie. Lots of great IPAs on tap, too. Definitely recommend if you’re in northern Yellowstone!

This was such a gem to find. We came in the winter months when half the town closes up shop for the Winter.(Nov 16) We were beyond thrilled to have had the pleasure to eat here. The taco pizza was the freshest most amazing pizza Ive had in a while and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his Buffalo Chicken pizza.(Expectations high because we are from New York City) Chuck, the owner was a pleasure and let us try several of the local Montana beers as well as suggested a number of things to do and see around the area. The food was delicious and the service was even better. Will most definitely be stopping here the next time we are in Gardiner.

KBAR is not the place you expect to find in small town Gardiner right outside of Yellowstone. But since everyone loves pizza, they are doing it right. I had a supreme and it is great to see them make it right in front of you. The quality and taste were all there and I ate more than I probably should have. Be prepared for a wait at times if there aren’t many people working in the day. I think most of their business is with the nighttime crowd.

Found this little place while adventuring around Yellowstone. My wife and I do NOT like eating chain restaurants and came across this«hole-in-the-wall». Support Your Local Businesses. We stopped in for pizza on a Wednesday Night and ordered the Caesar salad and a medium«Trail Blazer». The salad was good but the Pizza was Amazing. They Fire bake their pizza vs. heating elements of most other places. We loved it so much that we went back the next night. We ordered the«The Heart Attack» pizza. Trust me. Now, this pizza surpasses All other pizzas I have ever had. My only regret is that I didn’t order more. Great quality pizza for the price. My wife and I recommend this place to everyone.

What a fun place! The servers are jovial, if not horribly overworked. Excellent pizza at very very reasonable prices, for a resort town. The fella making the pizzas tosses the dough himself, and it’s entertaining as hell to watch him work. He’s a machine. We had the Crazy Woman pizza, which featured sausage and an alfredo sauce. We loved it. That freshly tossed crust really shined. The beers were $ 4, and they even poured me an impromptu free flight to see which I preferred. So nice! The vibe in here was just so positive and good. Keep it rockin, guys, we had a blast! Keep an eye out, you might just end up with a Mississippi license plate one of these days. ;D

Mark is amazing and his service was excellent. The food is good but they don’t serve hard liquor. We had two veggie pizzas with one of them being gluten free. P.S: The bar was crowded when we got there. Natalia was not very interested in serving us. She recommended that we and others go to the pizza place around the corner. If it wasn’t for Mark we wouldn’t have eaten here.

I went to this place to get some dinner while I was visiting Yellowstone. We took the pizza to go and it was bad. The crust was very hard. This could still be blamed on the pizza being taken to go but the worst part was not the food. The people were plain rude and we felt like we were not wanted there. There was one waitress who was particularly rude a couple of times. Never going there if I visit Yellowstone again.

My husband and I stumbled into this little tavern thanks to the lively Monday night crowd, delicious aroma, and because pizza was likely the only vegetarian option in the whole town. We were on something of a nightlife tour of Gardiner, MT, and this place was our favorite of the 4 different places we stopped in for drinks and/or food. From the getgo service was very friendly and attentive, and we opted to sit at the bar. My husband tried to order a whiskey, to which the bartender replied that they only serve beer and wine but he was welcome to bring over a drink from the Two Bit Saloon next door. Instead he ordered wine and I went with an awesome local latte stout. My beer was served in a pint glass, okay that’s standard, but my husband’s $ 5 glass of wine was served in a giant tumbler with an epic pour that was the equivalent of three glasses anywhere else. We ordered the small Crazy Woman, which was pizza with Alfredo sauce and garlic(minus sausage). The pizza was great, the crust was hand tossed, and that size was perfect for the two of us. They had several local taps and the bartenders were very knowledgable about their beer selection and ready to pour a small sample if you needed extra guidance. Highly recommended!

I’m not a pizza lover but my husband was craving it. We shared a small supreme pizza. It was incredible! The crust was thin and not overly fluffy. The staff was was attentive and all of them seemed to be working hard as it was busy. I wish we had a place like this back home.

Service was terrible. Didn’t even get to the pizza portion of things. A Monday night, walk in, stuffy as can be. Waited 10 minutes(timed). Lady comes over and goes«Uhhh, the wait is over an hour for pizza. You still want?». Walked out. I’m sure it’s good pizza, but never got a chance.

Meh. Not a fan. They pretty much only had pizza, so we had pizza. Service and prices were good, but the pizza was meh. Lackluster. The crust got really soft in the middle — perhaps it wasn’t cooked long enough? But they served late and were really nice and that counts for a lot.

Right outside Yellowstone’s North Entrance, the KBar offers lots of Montana and other regional microbrews, tastings(to help you make up your mind), and surprisingly delicious pizza with a crisp crust and unusual combinations, such as a sausage-sauerkraut-jalapeño pie. It’s a friendly, fun atmosphere with an owner who’s eager to make you a repeat customer.

Just walked out of it with two small kids. The place is not family-friendly at all. The family section is just one of the sitting areas of this bar. When we walked in, there is no smile neither greetings. The guy with glasses asked us to sit at the bar, then disappeared and let us sit there for more than ten minutes. The restaurant was less than half full at the time. All three servers are all in the non-family section. When I approach one of the female servers, she rudely asked me to come over to move to the other section where pounding disco music was playing. Very bad experience at the of a day after a wonderful Yellowstone trip.

What we have here is the culinary equivalent of a unicorn: good pizza in Montana. Note, I didn’t say good pizza FOR Montana – you don’t have to grade this place on a curve. The pizza is great, period. Welcoming bar atmosphere, good selection of beers you’ve never heard of, friendly staff – what more could you ask for, just outside Yellowstone’s north entrance? Well, there’s one thing: they don’t take American Express. Boo!

Great beer selection and close to the Yellowstone entrance! Salad was great and had the buffalo pizza, which was very good. Bathroom could use an upgrade but other than that, I would certainly recommend.
