Best. Chocolate. Ever. I haven’t had anything I don’t like there yet, but the Bordeaux is to die for! If you need a gift or just a good chocolate fix, go there!

Great chocolate. I had them make up small boxes to give to my clients. Clients loved them. Also had a large chocolate plate made up for a family Christmas gathering. Great assortment. A little pricey. I will go back. They are great supporters of our Chamber of Commerce and community events.

I live and work in the Sacramento area and when I’m in Gardnerville for the weekend I buy sweets here for my co-workers. They love the chocolate-covered Oreo cookies and the peanut brittle. I love everything. We have good chocolate shops in Sacramento but what sets this place apart for me are the quality and variety of the sweets and the dedication and passion of the staff. Lynn, the owner, gets up very early every single morning in order to work on the design and production of her chocolates. She is so imaginative. It is such a joy to see what new items she and her staff have created. They are good people and their chocolates are great. This is a wonderful business to support.

Chocolates: — honeycomb covered dark chocolate — nom nom. Its good and crunchy. The milk chocolate + honeycomb are very sweet combinations, so i opt for the dark chocolate. — chocolate covered pretzels — average taste but fancy wrappings. Good for gift. Price: — expensive. These two little things cost me $ 23. Its good for holiday gifts but if you want to eat it yourself, you might as well but similar chocolates from the store with 1⁄3 of the price. Service: — awesome. They give you free samples and very welcoming. Just ask for any questions and they’d gladly answer it.

My husband and I stopped by after seeing their billboard on our way to Napa from Mammoth. The owners were super friendly! We got the bordeauxs, truffles, and chocolate turtles. Everything was delicious and the bordeauxs were the best we ever had!

Thanks for making my wife’s birthday a success. You guys delivered her some candy at work and I was impressed by what she got compared to what I paid for!

Chocol-ate truffles and white chocolate turtles… sea salted cara-mels and peanutty brittle… dark chocolate bor-deauxs and milk chocolate bark… these are some treats made at the Choco-late Shoppe! They also happen to be a «Few of my Favorite Things», if you couldn’t hum along with that in my head! Divine decadence is hidden away in the corner of a Raley’s shopping center in Minden. But follow your nose to the door of this well decorated storefront, and step into a wonderland of chocolate where you’ll first be faced with a sensory overload from the sheer selection. To stop your salivary glands from going into overload, step up to the counter and ask for sample. Then prepare to satisfy your sweet tooth with any one of the amazing handmade products that are sitting on the shelf. Though I was in love with their peanut butter cups and toffee, I chose a pack of peppermint patties and sweet and salty caramels. The peppermint patties were bigger than a silver dollar, and the fiancée took to them with a knife and fork when I brought them home. I never knew chocolate could be consumed in quite this way, but hey, who am I to judge. The caramels were these rich and chewy bon bon shaped beauties with a healthy sprinkling of sea salt right on top. I too cut these into pieces to control my consumption. The creations at the Chocolate Shoppe are something special, and well worth a trip to the beautiful Carson Valley. If you’re looking for something just for you or a very unique gift, ask them about their«Chocolate Printing Press»!

Came here while vacationing in Nevada just to check out the store. We were greeted upon arrival and given many free samples of the amazing chocolates that were offered. The macadamia nut chocolates were like no other you’ve ever tried. Check this place out!

Found this place a couple of weeks ago. It’s now my go to for gifts. Everyone that has received their gifts from here has just loved them. The chocolates, brittles and other stuff are super yummy, hand-crafted and beautiful. These local owners are very friendly and make everything on site! A must try!

My mom bought my grandma some chocolates from here as a gift and they were beautiful(grandma assures me they tasted good too)! When giving a gift like chocolate you want an impressive presentation, they far excited that with their chocolate covered pretzels and other goodies. I will have to keep this place in mind for gifts in the future!

The owners and goodies are SOOO much fun! Apparently good chocolate costs some money and adds lots of calories, otherwise I would go daily– but it is worth every bite. The down side is that the goodies don’t last long. They are so talented – I feel like I could imagine anything and she will make it happen. They recently donated a very expensive cookie tray to a fundraiser event for a new animal shelter in Carson City. Everyone was fighting for that tray. The images on the cookies were priceless. This place is the PERFECT place for a gift – and the holiday season is coming up. If you thought the ol’ Virginia City/Washoe area chocolate stores were good, this one is twice that and more!
