Getting major dental work may be something that needs to get done, but it is not something people look forward to. I wanted to get some wisdom teeth pulled(bottom two have been in a dull ache for more than a year) and thought why not consider the others. After consulting with my dentist, an orthodontist I made an appointment with Dr. Gray Edward at Carson Valley Oral Surgery Center(yeah, there’s another Unilocal review for the center). So on the day of my appointment(Friday at 9:30AM) I arrive early, a little anxious and unsure of what the options are. Folks at my work, with their experiences were less than helpful, so it was nice being able to talk to Dr. Edward and get some of the questions answered. Such as the difference between GA(general anesthesia) and IV sedation, will there be stitches and what are the possible side effects. A little IV sedation, knocked me out regardless. Before falling asleep, I saw 4 – 5 people in the room, professionally, getting ready. The next thing I know is that I’m heading back to the car and have something on my head(an ice bag wrapping) and gauze in the mouth. So far, so good! Follow the instructions, take it easy and if anything happens, give the office a call or just come on back. You do have to make an initial appointment, but after the surgery, if you’re in need, you should be able to just swing on by. I’ve had worse pain and was treated well here. Would I go back? Well, I’m out of wisdom teeth, so the answer would be no for that one :) Note: They don’t take medicare/caid, and no personal checks.
