O’Reilly Auto Parts: August 16, 2014 It was a scene that could have come right out of an old movie. The dead battery that I had just labored to take out of my dead car was in hand, and I was in shock at the price of a replacement battery. I was thinking that $ 80 would have been a top of the line, but that was about $ 40 below the entry level… It was surprising to say the least. So the young lady working the counter sees my discomfort and offers to call the shop down the road to see if they have a better price. I accept the offer and she calls. In fact, the battery down the road has a better warranty(two more years) for only $ 5 more. How do you pass that up? Also, if the battery had been less, they would have price matched it. Customer service is making a comeback, and it is appreciated. I’m a fan of O’Reilly right now.
