Safeguard Self Storage

They raise the rent every year 10% to 20%! And in the letters the send us they state: Safeguard recognizes the economic challenges faced by many of our customers and we do not implement this increase without serious consideration. Their rate increases are yearly therefore they take NO consideration, this is a automatic increase every year regardless of their expenses, they don’t care folks! We started paying $ 120.35 in 2010 and now pay $ 235.91, in 6 years the rent doubled!

Make sure to bring a tape mesure when renting an unit in this location. I reserved a 5×10 online and then confirmed my reservation at the facility. I was then given what was supposed to be a 5×10.
I have never rented a unit before and I didn’t have a tape mesure with me… I really didn’t think I needed to measure the unit since I expected honesty and professionalism from this facility.
After 6 months and a rent increase (total of $ 166) I realized that I had been given a 5×7!!!
I realized this when I rented a 5×10 at a different location for only $ 102 (this location was only 2 miles away). Those 3 extra feet make a huge difference.
The manager told me there was nothing he could do since the lease indicated that the measurements of the units are not always exactly what they claim them to be. He also stated that due to the building set up they have to sell units as a specific size when they are in fact smaller.
this is the most expensive location in the area and some of their units are smaller than they claim.
BE CAREFUL!!!

Clean, pleasant facility. The administrator was thorough, efficient and polite. There were no «surprises» except for a $ 9.00 monthly insurance policy, which I’ve heard is common at most self storage places. (This was my very first time.) Excellent price.

I enjoyed the time being there. My items were safe and sound and secured. I would recommend this storage to anyone who’s goods are vary important and expensive.
