Bought a dozen donuts, when we noticed flies were on the donuts in the case. We couldn’t enjoy them after that, so before eating them, we asked for our money back. The owner threw money on the counter and didn’t offer an apology. We left, got in our car, and as we drove away, the owner was in the back alley flipping us off. Really? We’ve eaten there before and the donuts were good, I just wonder about their cleanliness and freshess of the ingredients since they are closed more often than open.

Small, clean, and friendly, this bakery is a great find on Hwy 101. Such a selection you wonder where to start so grab a cuppa joe and feast with a friend!

Fresh local bakery. Very accommodating and friendly. We used a debit card so I’m not sure about the cash only comments. We had the clam chowder and it was delish. Wish I found it sooner on our vacation!

Great, cheap donuts and pastries, loaves of bread and rolls, all baked fresh. Everything is terrific and it has become one of our rituals when we stay at the beach house in Rockaway. Very friendly people. They have coffee and espresso, which I haven’t had yet, but looks typical of most coffee shops. Highly recommend! They do not serve sandwiches here anymore.

This bakery has the best donuts in Oregon,(maple)bar none! Indescribably good, but beyond perfect! Family owned and operated for 40 years — respect! Cash only(but very, very, very inexpensive), closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesdays, so stock up!

Stopped in out of curiosity as it is hard to find a bakery between Nehalem and Tillamook that is worthy of a visit. Well this bakery will not leave one disappointed if you choose a pastry of any kind or a bread of any kind. Everything looks and tastes home made and wonderful. I’ll be back that is for sure. We did not try the deli part so I have no comment in that area. 10⁄27 update: The loaves of bread made it all the way back home and oh my goodness were they ever good. They are gone now and I wish we were close so I could get some more.

We found this little bakery on a trip to Rockaway a few years back, and we usually make a point of stopping in. Not being a doughnut family, mostly, we usually get cookies, or cinnamon rolls, or coffee cake, or some of the other treats they offer. They do have coffee and juice, milk, and soda’s, also. The people behind the counter are always very nice, and we like their treats. It’s nice to support a little local business like this too. It’s not like a fancy Portland bakery, but it is what it purports to be, a homey small town bakery with some heart. We like it.

I finally was in the area and up early enough to satisfy my craving for a fresh doughnut. This old fashioned bakery doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once inside you will be impressed by their low prices, great selection of breads and awesome baked treats. I had the best cherry fritters and at 50cents a piece, I have to exercise discipline and restraint. Their other doughnuts were fresh, cheap and not sicky sweet as some places can offer. Krispy Cream’s are NOT doughnuts in my humble opinion. Others in my party had doughnuts and tarts which were all praised highly. Bought some sourdough rolls(fresh, flavourful without being too strong), a loaf of English Muffin Bread(perfect for toast, as well as garlic bread), and a Blueberry Crumble Cake to die for. Very nice couple served us. We will be back again and again. Remember, it is cash only like many of the local places, but there is an ATM close by, so no worries if you forget.

I stopped in recently when I was in the area and tried a couple of their baked goods. They had a decent selection and good prices. I tried the pumpernickel bread and a pumpkin treat. The bread had a really good flavor and was semi soft and not hard as a rock. The pumpkin treat was not super sweet but did have a lot of flavor(pumpkin spices). I had a taste of another treat that was very sweet maybe too sweet for me. I was impressed with the bread and the bread prices. So I would go for the bread if I’m in the area again.

I definitely needed a caffeine fix. Spending three days and two nights at the coast with a class of 5th graders was definitely wearing on me. And the coffee on tap at our location, though free, was definitely… ummm… lacking. There was not much open for business in the wee hours of the morning in the small town of Garibaldi. But I did find this cozy little bakery with excellent coffee. The proprieter pulls perfect shots of espresso, and the locals are friendly. I didn’t try any of the baked goods but the smell of bread, muffins, and cookies were all tempting.
