Bay Island at Harbor Point

I made an appointment online to see a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. My appointment was for 12 o’clock. When I arrived, the manager/​leasing office was closed. Another tenant saw me standing out front and told me the manager is rarely here and when she’s not here the laundry facilities are locked. He also told me the manager writes on a piece of paper that he owed a certain amount for utilities but the utilities weren’t itemized? I believe that’s Illegal. Very disappointing!!!

Oh man, where do I start? First off want to make clear that MONICA B. — that rated these apartments on here with 5 stars– she is the apartment manager!
This place is shady beyond shady. Stay away. The lady in the office is Iravella and she doesn’t know anything, very unhelpful, keeps putting you off and not answering questions. She claims that she can not give her supervisors (Monica B.) phone number out and will have her call you back but she never calls. She says that them two are the only ones running this entire complex, I guess they own it too. Please beware and stay clear of this complex.

As a real estate agent and finding this apartment complex for my client… I can say this place is a complete and utter JOKE. My client had to relocate due to a job and made a one day decision to move here since she was new to the area before we find her a home. She paid 3 months IN ADVANCE so that she would not have to worry about anything. Now here we are in her 2^nd month and they are placing eviction notices inside her home without permission to go into her home in the first place. No notification was given that there was any past due amount prior to this either. IN FACT my client was told 4 days prior to the eviction notice that she was still ahead while a employee WHO IS A WITNESS will testify the same. Corporate is a joke. We have spent 3 days between me, the client, and the clients father contacting this place. No one from corporate will return calls and no one is ever in the office in the front or if they are they close the doors and hide in there. After speaking with NEW staff we know why. … So many people are being treatment poorly here that their own employees lock the doors and stay inside their offices so they do not have to deal with their renters. PATHETIC. I as a professional real estate agent as well as a friend to this particular client DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE EVEN LOOK AT THIS PLACE. PERIOD.

The manager is almost never here. The people that work here are really dumb. Trying to take our Dish/​Direct tv with like a week notice.
The laundry room is very gross and always dirty. The staff will try to cheat you and Bill you $ 1600 for one month rent when you only own $ 575 and have paid on time every month. You must call over and over for help and still can’t get… worst complex I have ever seen!!!

Bay Island is a lovely apartment community! Pricing is great, new management is excellent and very attentive. The apartments have been upgraded and remodeled. Cool spot by Lake Ray Hubbard!
