Excellent Bun Bo Hue. Very special broth that tastes and smell like what you can get in Vietnam. The pork and beef are good quality and fresh stuff. It’s rare to find BBH from a restaurant that is as good as homemade BBH. Good service.

A nice family owned restaurant with good Vietnamese dishes. Everything is freshly made and they taste amazing. It is very authentic and I love how warm it makes me feel inside like I’m at home eating my mom’s food. Get their congee(porridge) if you like a hot soup base or anything from their menu because they are all good. I like the fact that they also make to-go dishes that are normally only made from Vietnamese homes.

Right in the middle of Saigon mall food court. You can find one thing your mom can’t make at home… that is, cha bong. Cha bong is this shredded pork that looks like hair. Texture feels like fur but it doesn’t taste like hair or fur. It doesn’t taste like pork either. It’s just this salty goodness that can be eaten with rice or bread. This is food for the poor in Vietnam. It last a long time and it can be eaten with anything. I know it’s gross reading this but I don’t know many people still make this at home. Very time consuming for very little result. It takes hard work to peel and shred the pork… and I think they have to cook the meat several time and dry it first before shredding. Kind of unsanitary if you make it at home. They also offer porridge and rice dishes to take home or eat there. There are tables and chairs for you to sit. Everything is affordable. This family specializes in anything pork. They make their own pigs blood and stuff intestines. You could have a sample of it all in chao long.
