Worst service ever. Sat in the drive thru line after ordering my food for over 25min stuck in between 2 other vehicles so I couldn’t leave even if I wanted to. If you decide to go to the drive thru, just make sure you don’t have to be back at work soon. My boss is not going to be happy with me.

I’m surprised by the bad reviews of this place. I’ve been a huge fan of this chain since I discovered it about a year ago. First, let me explain the 4 star rating. It’s based on the expectation of a fast-food joint. Not fast-food of the McDonalds/Taco Bell variety, but in that you get your food pretty fast, a la Start and other places were you can elect to take it to-go, go through the drive-through, or sit down to eat at a no-table-service setting. In that category of places that serve unprocessed food, this chain shines. The chicken is well-flavored and delicious. The accompanying sides are respectably decent, and the fresh salsas are amazing. They have a good variety, but I haven’t tried anything but the half chicken meal with the sides. It’s such a good deal for around $ 10, given that it can easily be split between two people or make two meals out of one. Second, let’s talk about this location, we came here on a Tuesday night and the food was fresh. We sat down to eat, the place was relatively clean and tidy and service was good. Not all locations are good, and sometimes you get chicken that’s been sitting out longer than you want. This location was not one of those places. I’d totally recommend this place. If you happen to catch them on an off day, try again.

This location sucks. I love the green sauce but here it tasted like water. The service also sucks. I love pollo regio but I will not go to this one again.

Pollo Regio’s chicken is great but this location is really really slow to serve. One time they asked me to wait ahead for my order of chicken and then they totally forgot about me! It was a loooong wait. Just the other day, I thought, well maybe it was just a one time thing, I will try again… I went and ordered, although this time it was faster, still it was extreeemely slow. I saw a whole line of cars drive through Popeye’s while I was still wating for my order. Definitely I go to the W. Walnut @ Garland Rd location, that other location is fast! But just get their chicken, anything else on their menu sucks and it’s greasy.

I love El Pollo Regio but this store sucks! Very dry chicken and slow service. Go to the new one off Jupiter and Garland road. Totally worth the extra drive.

Best grilled mesquite chicken ever! Healthy and yummy as can be. Loved the place, all of the food and the prompt and friendly service. Couldn’t of had a better experience, strongly recommend on going!!!

The place was dirty, service was slow, food tasted old. I had better at other El Pollo Regio locations, I would not recommend this one !!!

Yum! Their«specialty» of course is their chicken, which they barbecue and wrap with half an onion in deli sandwich paper keeping all the flavor in. They also have Carne Asada in different varieties like Tacos or Enchiladas, which is also yummy. My favorite thing about this place is that they give you multiple sauces and condiments, like onions, green and red salsa, to go with your order. They are NOT stingy and nowadays, that’s hard to find. Prices are in the $ 7 – 8 range for a combo that doesn’t include a drink, but it’s worth it. They also have Mole, Caldo, Flan, Tres Leches and Churros for food and dessert alternatives.

I’m a huge BBQ fan, and El Pollo Regio(The Royal Chicken) is BBQ chicken with a south of the border not Southern flair. I always come here to satisfy my chicken craving when going fried does not seem like the healthy option for the moment. I can tell the chicken has been in a smoker because of the lack of grill marks, but the smoke ring indicates time has been taken for proper industrial slow cooking. Come here and try menu option number 1 or 2 which is the signature chicken in whole(1) or half form(2). The complementary charro beans are cooked with pork belly in a tomato base, and they are very good as far as pinto beans are concerned(savory meat flavor with the tomato acid for a grease cutter). The complementary yellow Spanish rice is below average and tastes more like bland chicken flavored rice instead of the red rice most of us are used to. Additionally, they give you a whole smoked dry onion with chicken purchase. The onion makes for a nice, pickle like, substitute. The avocado green sauce is dairy creamy with a strong kick of garlic. This green sauce is good for dipping your tortillas or chicken. The salsa bar offers three types of tomato salsa, green sauce, red onion habanero chutney, and limes. Test the red onion habanero chutney with caution as it is very hot and could possibly ruin your meal. Moderation is the key. I strongly recommend coming during lunch or dinner as off hours can offer less than prime examples of dried out jerky chicken. The prices are fast food like, but the quality is more up to fair family dining. Great place to take your family or friends for a quick healthy meal minus the charro beans(pork fat = yummy = hell on your arteries).
