Firehouse Subs

I like firehouse. This firehouse, however, is slow. I have been 3 times, each time it has taken 15 – 20 minutes to get a sandwich. It is aggravating to be one of three people at a sandwich shop and have to wait THAT long for a simple order.

I’m a fan of Firehouse, have been since I was first introduced to the Turkey Bacon Ranch a year ago. There isn’t one fairly close to me, so when I feel like splurging on the drive this is where I end up. Today was a game changer though.
My husband and I were splitting the large Turkey Bacon Ranch. The cashier asked if we wanted split baskets as well. Definitely, no one wants to lean across the table to drop ranch and lettuce out the back of this messy sandwich. My daughter got the kids meal Turkey & Cheese.
Our sandwiches came out and of course, no split baskets. I didn’t have a chance to say anything because as soon as the food was dropped, the employee took off from the table.
I ended up going to the car to change a diaper (there was no changing station in either restroom). There was a younger guy in a gray Charger next to me. His window was down, his radio was loud, and the smell of weed was even louder. I assumed he was just high and looking for munchies. Mind you I am parked directly in front of the door and he is next to me. He proceeded to sit there and roll an entire blunt of weed before going inside. To my surprise he wasn’t there for food. Oh no. He was picking up the young man who was in so much of a hurry to drop off my food to even ask if that was all or if it looked okay. Any guesses on what they did once they got in the car? You would be wrong if you said anything other than light up that blunt. Fine individuals right there.
After looking at the receipt my husband saw that the kids meal should have come with a «Krispy Treat» so he went to the counter and asked about it. He was told «it’s super small, it’s not even worth eating. You can get some chips instead.» Way to back your product. That might have been fine, except my daughter knew that the dessert came with her meal and was expecting it. It took some persuasion on my husband’s part to even get the cashier to give it to him.
Now I love Firehouse, but I’ll definitely drive to the West Plano location from now on. I’d rather give my money to them.

I’ve been enjoying the sandwiches here for a couple years. My favorite is the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. Very friendly, clean and consistent. I’ve never been annoyed or experience anything negative so they are on top of their game.
I also just learned that this location will give first responders or veterans a free drink with the purchase of a sandwich. I witnessed the owner thanking a veteran. Being a veteran myself, I appreciat that type of gratitude. I think the owner is a veteran too.

I ordered a beacon turkey sandwich and I was given something completely different. But i did not figure this out until I got to my destination. I called and talked to the manager. He said that my sandwich was there. I told him I was 15 min away and I would appreciate a fresh sandwich made for me when I got back there. He agreed. I drove all the way back there only to get my original sandwich. It was so soggy! Gross! I only ate a few bites. So disappointing!!! Not sure if I will go back

Opening the door we are greeted with smiles and a welcome to firehouse! Amazing! We walk up to the counter and I ask them what’s good. since it my first time. And Nate with a gorgeous smile tells me all about firehouse. How they steam and then toast and all veggies are fresh and brought daily! I was sooooo impressed! I’m big on customer service and I can honestly say this place is exceptionally good. You known it’s sad I can go to a high end restaurant and dress up in a uncomfortable dress and heels and get crappy service or a waiter that doesn’t feel like they give a hoot about their job… but go to casual spot and be amazed by the customer service. Also there was a pretty sweet gal with short hair I didn’t get her name… and she was so nice… came by our table asked us if we needed anything. I was very impressed by this place. Ok about the food… AMAZING! My Dad had the bbq brisket cheddar something omg it was so good. I had the meatball sandwich sweet and spicy. My son had the original and my Mom had Salsa Verde turkey sandwich. Alll was amazing. As I’m writing this review I’m craving the bbq brisket while my mouth is watering. The portion size is big. Customer Service best way to describe is equivalent to Chickfila but homeier. (I made this word up) Food is by far better then Subway and almost as good as Quiznos. Thank you so much Nate for everything! Even accommodating my 3 year old son!

Great meatball sub, great variety. Can be pricey, especially adding chips, etc. Nice staff. I have placed a to go order a few times and it’s been cold when I got home. It’s real good though, It didn’t stop me from eating there again and again! Ryan remembers that I like cucumbers with my meals and he is very nice to my family when we see him. I encountered an issue from a kids to go order and didn’t receive the drink but when i was able to go back, they gave me a large drink. Clean atmosphere but sometimes really cold inside, so be prepared.

Firehouse is definitely one of the best sandwich shops out there. The price is appropriate for the quality of the product and service. It may seem trivial but I really like that their pickles are always in good condition. I hate road kill pickles with all the guts massacred. The bread is good. The meat is great. Served hot and well dressed. Dining area is well kept. This particular location needs to invest in a new closer for the front door. It’s obvious that the hydraulics are shot and someone is going to get hurt. Enjoy the food but don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split you on the way in.

Gotta love Firehouse Subs. They are made well at a decent price too. I love all the types of hot sauces and their menu is setup well. The staff is cool and the place is clean. Great location

I visited Firehouse Subs for the first time today, and I was not disappointed! Me and my boyfriend drive through this location occasionally, and he always mentioned how good they were. Aside from the occasional subway, I’m really not a sub type of person. However, I might just have found a new lunch place for a quick meal. :) So here’s my experience…
First of all this place is way better than subway! Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted with smiles. The customer service is awesome here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Once our food was ready, it was brought to our table. I would say the customer service here is comparable to chick fil a’s, with the exception of not sounding scripted and being genuine. But anyway, aside from great customer service the food was delish. I hardly ever crave subs, because I can make them myself: however, tasting their crunchy (not too crunchy, but just the right amount of crisp) soft bread, yummy melted cheese on fresh tasting turkey, fresh tasting veggies, and of course their juicy pickles (on the side) I find myself wanting a bite!
I hardly ever find myself raving about a place, but I think I’ve told all my friends about my first time going here. I think the only fault for me is there’s not a lot around lol

The subs are great and in general the staff is friendly. My only problem with this store is their online ordering system. Every time I order online and come in to pick it up my order is never ready. When I go to get it the cashier checks their fax and finds my order just sitting there. What’s the point of ordering in advance.

Good Hot sandwiches. Good theme and vibe there. I love the drink dispenser… tons of different flavor combos… Love the Hot sauce varieties to choose from… THe salads are boring… I feel it’s a little pricey for a fast food joint but it’s good stuff.

I would put 5 stars on this place, but its way too expensive. The subs are good, but for 10 dollars was way too much.

i had a meatball sub on wheat the meal was fine but the counters and tables all needed to be cleaned the counter looked like it had not been cleaned with cleaner in some time i wiped it with a napkin and it was sticky i would not eat in again in this store as housekeeping was in dire need

Great food with a great cause. The staff here is always friendly and the sandwiches are fresh and yummy. Order online and save yourself some time. Enjoy!

Sub never disappointing

This one is one of the better locations! Service here is great. The staff is very nice and friendly.
I love making my own cherry limeade, they’re fab-​u-​loso!!!
I like this place because they usually give you a coupon for free meal or sometimes free combo deals.
I got the new York steamer. It’s very tasty with beef pastrami (?) and some mayo. The only thing is: every time I get it, it’s extra eatery and a lot of drippage happens and I’m nit very fond of a soggy sammich.
I wasn’t very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. There was trash on most of the tables but we found A nice and clean table.
They also started sweeping as we were eating and dust was flying everywhere. I completely understand cleaning all the mess during down time but this could be resolved by having one extra person on staff.
Overall experience was good. I do always enjoy coming here especially for the limeades.

If you want a great sub this is a good place to go. The subs are fresh and really good. I seem to always get the Hook and Ladder fully involved… this means all the veges and not once have I been disappointed. They have a huge selection of different sauces you can try from extremely spicy to mild sweet and tangy.
I have called ahead and placed my order walked in and left all with in a min. max time frame.

They have a decent selection of subs but is a bit pricey and their regular sub is smaller than at similar sub places. I tried the engineer sub which was alright but nothing special. They do have a nice selection of different hot sauces but that won’t get me to go back here anytime soon.

I will be heading back here for sure, and not just for the food!
I had a great sub and both my husband and I walked away really satisfied with the whole experience. We were chatting on the way home about how pleasant the people working there were even though it was late.
Apparently we were a bit too enthralled because I pulled the ultimate idiot move and forgot my purse! My iPhone has an «if found» graphic on it’s wallpaper that shows my husband’s phone number.
Not only did they call his phone to let us know, they stuck around after closing so I could pick it up. When I checked inside, all my cash, phone, blank checks, credit cards, and even the receipt for an xbox 360 elite were inside. Woot!
