I’m in love with this place! It was packed when we pulled up. We couldn’t find parking. I had get out and go in and my friend parked my car. In the inside the place was super packed! This would be a great place to practice your Spanish. I didn’t know a single word but was still able to communicate with the fabulous lady behind the counter. I have no clue what I bought but everything was delicious! Can’t wait to visit again!

Omg, this place has the best cakes ive ever had!!! I had a surprise birthday party and my cake was 1. gorgeous… it was just beautiful.2. Huge. could not believe how big it was. 3. Cheap. when i was told the price for the cake i couldnt believe it. it served 15 people with half the cake left. 4. The best taste ive had in a cake, from the cake to the fruit fill, to the icing. Ive never had a better cake before. All around i would say the best .I would have never of thought to stop here but glad someone else did and we were all in love with the cake!!! We will for sure be back for every occasion possible!!!

Estoy di satisfecha con los chuchitos! La foto enseña que la cantidad de pollo que tienen es ridículo, lo demás en es pura masa!

Alright so ya’ll tres leches fan must come here! I work with Mexicans and every time they had a birthday the cakes were ridiculously good. I asked where they bought the cake and they told me it was from Guatemalteca. Now Guatemalteca has three locations — Plano, Garland and Carrollton. The Plano location is on 14th/Jupiter, next to Phở Que Huong. The Garland location is near downtown Garland and the Carrollton location I haven’t been to. I was told to come to this location for cakes. Finally had the chance to try their cake and I chose tres leches with strawberry filling. I didn’t get the whole cake but only a slice which was pretty much a square. You gotta eat the cake fresh or else it will turn gritty and soggy. When it’s fresh the cake is dense and loaded with moisture. Some tres leches are soaked in milk and those tend to be gritty and soggy. Guatemalteca makes their cake moist with the tres leches inside. It’s not soaked like a bath but the cake is really moist. Tres leches is also best when it’s served cold because its a moist cake with leches. I devoured my cake and didn’t save any too share because no one will get my tres leches!

Freshly baked bread and dessert I also saw that they offer mexican/salvadorian. Although, I have not tried the food, the dessert was pretty good with a huge slice or serving.

Great little place to get some traditional Latin American desserts. They even have warm food such as pupusas which looked delicious. Definitely worth a trip if you enjoy the typical sweet treats from El Salvador/Guatemala.

Maybe I’m biased because this place is one of the only restaurants I have found in dallas that reminds me of home, but I love it! Granted, you will probably get better service if you are fluent in Spanish but the food is pretty authentic. I have yet to find another bakery that makes champurradas, hilachas, or pepian like my grandma(ok, she doesn’t make champurradas, but they are a Guatemalan staple). The reason I give them such a high rating is because of their authenticity. It definitely hits the spot when nostalgia sets in.

El pan aquí es riquísimo. La verdad que me recuerda el pan que normalmente encuentras en México.

I used to love going to get our pan dulce from this place, until I witnessed how they killed the flies on their countertops. Not very sanitary since it grew so big. I used to go there when it was tiny, and clean. Not so much anymore.

I have been once, and the pupusas were excellent. I hadn’t had them in years. I will be back.

Buen pan!!! HORRIBLESERVICIO!

Though its frustrating that they were closed on Sundays and most of the major Christian holidays, I was terribly addticted to this place at one point. LOL… I remember to this day that they made the best Pan EVER, EVER, EVER. :-) I didn’t know Dolce Pan they way I thought I did before coming here. The people hardly speak english, but they’re SOOOO nice and eager to teach me. The lines are usually long, sometimes out the door. LOL… kinda funny to think about it. They were always busy on both sides and I also love the horchata. My friend used to get so mad at me because I would get headaches from the sugar and I was still buying from them. LOLOLOL I would come to work with white sacks and she knew what it was, she was like gimme!
