Sam’s Club

Got to be the worst Sam’s Club store in the Metroplex. They move merchandise around, no problem, that is part of merchandizing but you need to keep track of where you put it, so your own employees and most important your Customer’s can find it. You know that is the purpose of Retail, is to have Customers FIND the product and purchase it.
Really think the problem at this store is «lack of» or «poor management».

I’m normally a costco customer but decided to try Sam’s out. The store was neat. They did not have even half the samples out that costco has. In fact I think there was only one sample person on a busy Sunday. The checkout process is also much slower. At costco they move fast and make it a priority to get you through the line a lot faster.

This is for the hearing center only. I have suffered from hearing loss since elementary school. The hearing aids I received as a kid were big and had so much feedback, I never wore them. Two years ago, I finally decided to shop around and glad I came to Sam’s. Megan, my audiologist, was very friendly and suggested a hearing test to access my loss. As expected, it was pretty horrible. Sam’s offer free cleaning and will adjust hearing aids as needed. I do not wear my hearing aids as I should. I went in recently to get a cleaning. Megan immediately remembered my name and began cleaning my hearing aids. While cleaning, she hooked them up to machine and began scolding me (in a professional way) after seeing minutes used since last visit. I complained about the extra noise regardless of using music, noisy background, telephone settings she set previously. She then suggested we disable the back speaker. The results were astounding. True, I still don’t wear them like I should but will definitely go back to Megan as she really takes care of her clients. Highly recommended!

Sam’s club is Terrible! DO not let them talk you into changing your credit card, they will screw it up! They put the wrong address for my address therefore never getting my statements, which now I am sent to collections! Other wholesale stores are sooo much better!

Worst experience ever. Costco thanks them for the newest members! In order to get a membership card you have to wait in line with returns. And after going in to the store 3 times (3^rd time was after customer service called them telling them it was already paid for) and waiting a total of 2 hours, they STILL would not give me a membership card that was paid for online. They said sometimes it takes a month to show up as paid when it is paid for online.

I went to this sam’s club to have my tires rotate and balance. I waited for 3 hours to get it done. When I got my SUV back and I double checked to make sure all the lug nuts were tight. OMG! the lug nuts weren’t even tight on all my wheels. I could turn them with my fingers. I couldn’t believe it!!! Please make sure you double check your wheels whenever you have anyone else worked on your car.

the café needs to get ball rolling, always long lines, the black old lady had an attitude moves like a turtle. bought an ice cream and told me to go back in line well duh i payed for it so i wont make line again yall need some mexicans back there to get the job done. worst sams club in the division i hope yall can fix that and also chicken are always sold out. plus u need more employes sunday its always busy

Don’t know how this store has such a good overall rating.
Although I’ve been here a few times, and the service was good, I am writing for one of my longtime friends who is a small business owner. After recently, I hardly think she will want to come back here.
So the misery began when my friend was buying merchandise for her small business. She went up to one part of the store to buy and pay for the merchandise (I think cigarettes). My friend was very unfamiliar with the lady, Jessica, who was working at that time (my friend is a VERY frequent customer at this location), so my friend tried explaining to the lady her usual order.
The lady was very incompetent during the order and kept making mistakes. When my friend tried to correct her, she started acting very rude, and claimed to know what she was doing. She just kept scanning the merchandise and kept voiding the transaction for a number of times. My friend demanded to see the manager, and this lady claimed she was ‘the manager’.
Frustrated, my friend had no other option but to deal with this lady.
But the funny part is this. The merchandise my friend was buying has two prices: One for resale and one for personal. Obviously, the personal price is higher than the resale price. This lady, Jessica, charged my friend the PERSONAL PRICE instead of the resale price, even though my friend explained many times that she is a small business owner, and is entitled to the lower rate. But Jessica refused to listen. My friend told her that she will never return, and Jessica replied with an ‘I don’t give a rat’s tail’ attitude.
Wait, it gets better. As my friend was leaving the store, Jessica STARTED CLAPPING that my friend was FINALLY LEAVING! How low can you go, Jessica?
I can only imagine how this situation would look on a YouTube video. It would probably go viral.
Don’t get me wrong, this place has some really friendly employees. But after the way Jessica treated my friend, I really doubt I will return here unless the customer service in that department improves.

All is well here. The lady Jessica apologised to my friend, and my friend feels a little more welcomed back. The managers and head chefs went crazy out of their way to win back my friend. Overall, if the manager is reading this, good job.

Great spot for a large family with a ton of kids lol. But buying in bulk has saved me so much money since we don’t have to do multiple stops during the week. Be prepared for the lines to be a little long and bring your own bags

Ordered my niece’s first birthday cake here about 2 weeks ago. Let me just say everything was perfect! The cake was so delicious and was the perfect amount for the amount of people we had. I will order all my future cakes from here. The ladies were super busy with orders but they were so friendly and helpful!!!

Let me start by saying I’m a SAMS-​aholic! I LOVE me some SAMS Club. This review is based on my first time experience with the bakery.
My daughters 3^rd birthday party was a week ago there were about 25 ppl so I figured cupcakes would be easiest. I had been searching for cupcakes everywhere the prior week. (I really dont care for target cakes) I must have called every bakery in the city and most places were wanting between $ 3-​$ 4 per cupcake. UH NO! A friend told me to try SAMS. I’m a little ashamed Ive never gotten anything fresh from the bakery before.
It was perfect! they only have 2 flavor choice, chocolate and vanilla. We are talking 30 cupcakes for $ 15!!! I had to fill out the order form of course and you can do a lot of custom things to these cupcakes. I went with the Disneys Frozen choice ½ choc ½ vanilla. All came with little rings from the movie with faces on them (Anna, Elsa, etc) I recommend getting the crème type of frosting but you can also choose to do a whipped.
I will always order my cupcakes from Sams from here on out

I love that they have a gas station right outside. Whenever I can, I try to fill up at Sam’s. Saving a little bit each time, adds up.
This store has a nice layout with friendly employees.
Because I am a student, a membership is $ 30, BUT you get a $ 15 gift card back, so it is technically only $ 15. What a steal!

The best part of this place is James in the membership department. He was very helpful and friendly.
But this Sam’s Club is disappointing in so many ways. There are so many staples that I am used to getting at Plano that are not available in Garland. The other thing is what they do have, it is often higher in price. This is disappointing but what really is bad is checking out.
Even if we are first in line, our checking out is slowed up by cashier pushing upsales and other things. And haven’t been that the cashier hasn’t needed a manager.
Just disappointing…

So it’s true. Sam’s Club is identical to Wal-​Mart… the consumers, the employees, everything.
I tried to give it a fair try, it certainly is more convenient to me than the nearest Costco. Unfortunately for me, it doesn’t compare. Employees here are disgruntled, even getting a membership was a terrible task to ask the ladies at the customer service counter. The bread and prepared food selection is especially low-​budget compared to Costco. The store in general does not appear to be tidy or clean and the lighting is surprisingly weak. I am going back to Costco even with a discounted Sam’s Club membership.

i love it here! i used to work there years ago and i’d even go there on my days off! i just loved the group of people i worked with! Sam’s continues to hire great people, so even though i’m not working there any longer, i’ll continue to go on my days off! =)

I had a really good experience at Sams yesterday that I would like to share. I have been shopping at this location for years and everyone is nice and helpful. The store is always clean.
Yesterday I went to Sams to buy Schindler’s List on Blu-​Ray which came out yesterday. After going to the DVD/​Book section I noticed that none of the new releases on books or movies have been stocked. I went to the membership desk and talked to a guy named James. I told him what I was looking for and he went fast to work. He checked the shipment list and radioed to workers in the back to look for the new DVDs with yesterdays street date. James himself after a while went back himself to join the search. After 30 minutes they could not find the DVD and he was very apologetic.
It is hard to find good customer service anymore and I was surprised that James and the workers in the back took the time to search for the DVD. It is a 20 year old film that I don’t think will get many sales as the new releases would but they took the time out to try to find the DVD.

If you’ve been to a Sam’s Club, you’ve been to every one of them. What makes this Sam’s better than the others? I have no idea. I haven’t been to another Sam’s in years.
Remember, you need a membership. They don’t take Visa or American Express. Large/​expensive items are not purchased in bulk. You *can* buy just one TV or one playground set.
Checking out was easy. You give them a blank check and they put it in their printer and print all the information on it. So cool.
They have a small food court inside and if you’re tired, just go take a nap over in the recliner aisle. No joke, there was a guy with his cart right next to him and he was snoozin’ his way to dreamland all comfy in one of the recliners.
Got some great deals here. Again, if you need bulk quantities, this is the place to go. 12 cans of R134a refrigerant are around $ 60. Normally $ 120 at Walmart, or $ 180 at an auto parts store.
Also managed to score 30 Nature Valley granola bars for $ 8! Breakfast for a month!

The selection is huge and so are the checkout lines. Don’t plan on getting in and getting out fast however you CAN buy a lifetime supply f just about anything at a discount price. The steaks from here are really great!

Great place to get some nice products at a wholesale price. Meat’s and produce are solid, i hope they incorporate prime meats into their selection one day.
Food Court has nice selections, 1.50 for a huge Nathans Hot Dog is a very nice deal. I always go here on weekends to shop and dine.

I just love SAMs club. This one has a gas station.
