DONOTGOHERE! My girlfriends and I wanted to get our nails done and decided to come here. I wanted shellac manicure and a classic pedicure. They started a pedicure on one friend and shellac mani on the other. I had to wait 30MINS before they got to me to remove the old shellac manicure. They let me sit there and soak for another 20 mins. That was all the time I had before I needed to get back to work. They didn’t a crappy job just removing the shellac. They did a horrible job on my friend’s shellac mani that she asked them to take it off on the spot. Bad customer service I have ever experienced from a nail salon.

You will find me here frequently getting my nails done – Lynn is FANTASTIC! I love that when you schedule an appointment, they take you exactly at the time you’re scheduled(which is very rare at other nail salons). If you need fabulous looking nails, THIS is your place.

Love this place! The workers there are very friendly and services are great. I really like how my nails turned out! The extra complimentary hot wax and massage at the end really tops it! I just moved to Garland and glad I found this place. Definitely coming back! The only thing I would recommend is for them to start accepting credit card.

Went here again two weeks ago for a full set(pink and white). Left unhappy yet again. They just can’t seem to get it right with the nails. Shape, cuticles, shininess, blemishes not to mention my thumb nail broke the next day leaving me no time before the wedding I had them done for to get it repaired. This is so close to my house and the people are very friendly — I want to like it and give it good reviews but I just can’t.

Great pedicures, but no deal for mani pedi combo. Cut the living crap out of my nail last time I got a mani. Good waxing. I hate that they only take cash. It’s 2013, there are tons of iphone aps that enable you to take credit cards as a small business. Get with the times. If I came back to Dallas I’d get a pedicure here but that’s all.

I ventured to Sol Nails based on the positive reviews here on Unilocal. This place has it’s positives and negatives. Sadly, the negatives outweigh the positives so I won’t be returning. I arrived an hour after Sol Nails opened so I was quickly seated. There is a terrible feet smell here. I’ve gone to countless nail salons and have never encountered this before. Another warning, Sol Nails only accept checks & cash. I was told the $ 20 pedicure would be in a regular recliner or for $ 5 more, I could go with a massaging chair. I opted to pay $ 5 more for the massaging chair(something that is often included but oh well). The chair massage with attached foot spa was just okay. The nail tech was a bit rough. Once she was finished scrubbing my feet, I was moved to yet another massaging chair. Boy was I impressed with that chair. It is similar to a Brookstone style chair in that it massage your back, neck and calves. The tech left me there for about ten minutes. Once she came back, she folded the calf massage portion away and proceed with my foot massage. Again, she was a bit rough. After finishing my polish, the tech put the calf massager back on and let me sit while my polish dried for about 15mins. I played around on my iPod since they have free wifi. The nail tech then offered a free chair massage. She started off by placing hot wax in a bag and massaging it over my neck, shoulders, ears and arms. It was very relaxing. She then placed my hands into the wax as she proceeded to give me a neck/shoulder massage. In the end, I was very relaxed and proved my satisfaction with a hefty tip. Sadly the finished polish job was horrible. The massages were great but I didn’t come to Sol Nails for a massage.

I loed this place. It was my first time to come to this place and I was really blown away. They take time to give you the best manicure and pedicure. I swear I had a foot massage during my pedicure for at least 20mins each foot. Plus I got a chair massage for free for about 40mins. They massage my legs in hot stones. And after that was done I got a free hand treatment and massage for free as well. They serve you wine here. or any other drink of choice such as water or a coke.

I wish there was a facility like this where I lived. I come here every time I am in Dallas visiting my mom and it is by far some of the best service and mani/pedi quality I have found… especially comparing to parts of LA. Karen and Lynn and all the women that work here are delightful and friendly… and truly seem to care about ensuring you have a good experience. Water? Tea? WINE? Enjoy your beverage of choice while this sweet team of women sets to work on digging out the gnarlies from under your toes and around your fingernails. The quality of work is top notch. And the level of service… the leg massages with the hot rocks is unbelievable. I doze off nearly every time I am in here. I just can’t help it. My tootsies are so happy and so am I. The best part of it all? The price cannot be beat. For a manicure, a pedicure, hot rock treatment, and a heck of a massage on my legs… I can get a crappy half-ass pedicure in LA. Sol Nails is fantastic and I can’t wait to get back to LA again for another mani/pedi… the perfect treatment after a three hour flight and a day of travel.

So I hate being away from home with an acrylic refill overdue, but it does seem to happen a lot. Pre-Yelp it was a lot scarier, now I always seem to find something reliable(fingers crossed!). The only reason I took away one star was that they used a wet towel to cover the desk during the acrylic application. I don’t know whether it was clean(in my book they should use a new clean towel for each customer, as my home salon does), but it was intentionally wet through and was very unpleasant. Maybe to keep the acrylic dust from flying around, I don’t know. I think plain dry terry does that well enough. Other than that this was a great experience for both me and my friend(she’d never been there before either). I got an acrylic fill(actually pink and white) while she got a leg wax, a shoulder massage, and a pedicure. She raved about all the tension they drained out of her neck and shoulders. I was pleased with the perfect shape, perfect color(off-white tips), and how sanitary everything was(except the aforementioned towel). Little details mean a lot: for example a barrel of clean dry nail brushes; after using one you drop it in a different barrel full of sanitizing solution. And the fact that the manicurist sanitized her hands before starting. On the other hand they use the same supply of polishes for hands and for feet. Doesn’t feel good, but maybe organisms can’t survive in nail polish chemicals? And as everyone has written, they are generous with the free massages. I was given a shoulder massage(unfortunately my person had a very light touch) and my friend was given both leg and shoulder massage(by the guy with the incredible firm touch). We added the pedicure as a last-minute idea, and they still gave her the free shoulder massage in addition to the longer paid one. I should add that the customers on both sides of us also raved about the place. However, one of them didn’t get her money’s worth in my book. She chose a bottle of polish that seemed a little old and congealed, and her manicurist used it anyway with what seemed to me less-than-perfect results. With a really bright polish every little flaw shows and I wouldn’t have been too happy, but she seemed to be OK with it. So, I’m fussy, what can I say? I agree that the place isn’t fancy, but I wouldn’t call it totally plain either. Plentiful space, some plants and mirrors, big upholstered chairs for the pedicures, and instrumental music at a reasonable volume, all bump it up a notch in the ambiance department. My friend and I agree that we will be regulars here whenever I visit Dallas.

This is seriously the BEST place to get your nails done. I have moved from Dallas to NY, but whenever I come to town, I have to come here for a pedicure! The prices are incredible. The people remember you from YEARS ago. The chairs are more than comfortable, and the leg/foot massage with your pedicure lasts about 20 minutes for each leg. I have had pedicures many places, but nothing compares to this treasure that is hidden. NOTHING. Note: It was listed as the Best Nail Salon in the Dallas Morning News
