St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church

We’ve had a terrible, humiliating experienced at this church. This was our first time visiting a new Catholic church as we just recently moved to town coming from a different city.
One of my kids took a soda in church and wanted to finish it. Drunk and sat down. The priest stop the mass walked up to us and told my daughter in a mean and embarrassing way to put it away and that they don’t allow soda in church. I was unaware she brought the soda with her.
I would have approached it differently though and maybe make a reminder announcement that no food, drink or electronic devices are allowed during mass.
Whether he was in the right position to scold at my daughter about drinking the soda it made me feel that this church were not welcoming. The church practice religion yet so judgmental with people’s behavior inside their organization. Was it a sin? Was a «bad» manner something they don’t tolerate at their church? Are they perfect themselves? To my disappointment, I couldn’t pray or concentrate on praying… I wanted to leave!!!
The sermon was so bad too, as he was preaching about marriage that is against God to have same sex marriage.
Really? Did it say that in the bible? Hypocrites! But does it allow Gay priest or Sex molester? I’m sorry Im not bad mouthing Catholic as I was baptized and practice this religion for many years…
For sure I am not going back to this church again!
