Texan Donuts

Donuts are perfectly fluffy and excellently flavored. The lady even dropped a free donut in my bag, which only adds to my list of reasons to return again.

This place is awesome!!! The donuts are soft, sweet, melt-​in-​your-​mouth delicious. Truly a hidden gem. If you haven’t been here for a donut yet, you need to go. Also, their kolaches are amazing!

Every once in a while, if I’ve left home early enough to make it to work early, I’ll stop by Texan Donuts and pick me up a buttermilk cake donut. This place is the best. They have glazed donut holes on the counter for gorging (most would call it sampling). I’m downing them as indiscreetly as I can, while they’re putting my donut in a bag and they’ve put another half a dozen donut holes in the bag with your donut. SCORE.
It’s run by Koreans and they’re Christians, if you have a praise or prayer request, you can write it on a post-​it and put it on their board. They’re super nice.
Always busy, always good donuts. I’ll let you know if I ever get a bad donut. You’ll know. It’ll be like a tornado siren.

My friend brought Texan’s sausage, cheese and jalapeño kolaches to work, and I tried to resist (because I love Donut Time)… but resistance proved futile. Generously sized, fluffy pastry, a whollop of heat and flavor from the diced peppers. Perfection.
