Uptown Popcorn

Very friendly but when I first walked in with my husband for our first experience, a family of 3 were having a conversation with the guy behind the register. They had already made their purchase because they were holding their popcorn and the guy just kept carrying on about other stuff. He finally stopped the conversation and asked us what he could help us with. Just felt they were talking for awhile and it made no difference we were there waiting to be served. My husband likes spicy stuff and wanted to buy the jalapeño popcorn. I mentioned to him that he might want to ask for a sample to make sure before we bought it. We were offered the chance to sample anything on the counter as well as what is on the menu, so that was a plus. Husband got the jalapeño and spicy cheese mixed together. I ended up just getting a few pieces of candy I wanted. The only thing I didn’t like about getting your candy is that there is a jar that has tongs and scoops in it vs. a separate one for each candy jar. There is no place to really place the lid from the jars unless you place them at the top each time and it’s inconvenient when you are getting candy near the floor. I will say that the candy was fresh to the taste, the sour balls I bought were not as sour as I expected but he did let me know they weren’t super sour. They still had a good flavor to them and I got the watermelon and sour apple flavors. The popcorn is a little pricey, then again, I have never been to another gourmet popcorn place to compare pricing. I would still go back. Loved the cookies and cream and then the strawberry popcorn I sampled.

This place has superior popcorn! Sadly, they have high prices and slightly rude service, as a cashier tried to rush me along as I was having to make a complex order for a church gathering. It cost $ 60.89 for a 2 large cheese popcorns, both of which were on the cheapest part of there menu, and a junior sized specialty popcorn. Wish this place was cheaper as it’s a great source of Popcorn.
