King Chinese Buffet

Its basic oriental foods, but a good variety if u are hungry… Sushi is bland, wish the salad bar had more choices… soups are ok, hot tea is good… its cheap, $ 9 includes drink, unless u want beer… Have not tried the grill where u pick your items and they cook it for u…

The succulent sushi, the tender beef & broccoli, with the expertly made stuffed mushrooms will NOT BE FOUND HERE.
I stopped to get gas and it was pouring rain. I wanted to eat something healthy for lunch so I stopped here. I saw this was rated 3 stars & reasonable in price. Tasteless, sushi was bland. I can’t believe the hot & sour soup would be tasteless except for the Red chilli spice. The stuffed mushrooms were hard and seemed to be from the night before, put in the fridge & recycled for lunch (today).
I will say the fried rice & white rice was good. The staff was polite.
Don’t eat here. Yes it is cheap but bad.
I will never eat here again.

We’ve tried to eat here twice to give it the benefit of the doubt. They need a serious overhaul. People eat here because it’s the only Chinese buffet. It is not good, and not clean! I wouldn’t recommend it. Do not eat here!!!

Had lunch there today. It was horrible. I had to spit the egg roll out of my mouth! Foul, stale fish flavor. Chicken on a stick was cold. Dumplings were burned black. Sushi rice was like gravel… and I watched him make it and put it out! Fried rice had black cabbage in in it. Stuffed mushrooms had nasty chemical taste. Sauces on all the «Chicken and _​_​_​_​_​_​«dishes were thin and flavorless.
Iced tea was good. Waitresses were very pleasant and attentive. (I don’t blame them for what the cooks produce).
Maybe something better will move in this space when they’re gone, because they WILL be gone. And it shouldn’t take too long.

King Chinese is a Buffet so it’s not going to be knock your socks off. But when I get that CRAVING for all I can eat Chinese food, they are consistently good. The steam tables are very hot and they have a section for sushi (it’s average) and also a Grill where you can choose your own ingredients to be cooked by the chef at the huge grill. I went once at an off-​hour like a really late lunch and wasn’t impressed, but if you go at prime time for lunch or dinner they are quick to refresh the foods. The selections are very good, there’s something for everyone including kids and picky eaters. There is a huge dessert section too. There’s nothing bad about the place, and the price is right. Its good for a Fix!

An ok price but not a very good selection on sushi and the sushi is very dry. The food is not great but is ok to just stop in and get something quick. The workers are really nice and very helpful.
I gave my daughter the opportunity to write her review above. As a whole the place wasn’t expensive. The food was OK. It was only by chance we stopped here. I wouldn’t say drive a distance for this establishment.

We were surprised at the number of poor reviews, but gave King’s a try on our last ride back from the beach.
As buffets go, this one was definitely above average. There was a good variety, a couple of unusual selections not found elsewhere, decent sushi, and a selection of ice cream. The grill was just so-​so. The biggest knock on the place was that the floors were less than clean, but everything else was OK.
Don’t be put off by the bad reviews — and give this place a try.

In surprised at the low stars on this one. The food is really good for a buffet. They have a great selection and the food is replaced often. It’s never sitting very long. Always very busy and the servers are friendly and attentive.

I think its one of the best around the Clayton and Garner area. They are always friendly and the food is above average for a Chinese buffet.

Good selection, variety of «not on the menu» selections, like Black Pepper Chicken. They have it on the buffet, but will happily make it for you fresh to go if you ask. Quick service, to go food is always awesome. The buffet needs more attention though, at times things can stay longer then they should, but that’s the trade off for the selection I suppose. Very cheap, and well worth the money.

They have good days and bad days here. In average it’s good for the price. But personally I’d goto the Chinese buffet on Capital. It’s always on spot!

Typical chinese buffet. Food was decent, lots of locals feeding lots of kids. Place gets noisy so if you dont like kids… Service was ok, nothing really good, but they kept the table clean and drinks filled.

Health score was a 91. Found hair in my food. The sever seemed very angry at us after that. We just decided to leave. The manager was nice enough to take 2 dollars off our meal. After leaving in the middle of our meal. We will never return. Worst service and food ever.

How would you not rate this as 4 stars. First of all, it is only 6dollar something during lunch time and you have an array of asian, american, german food that is delicious and satisfying. The sweet desserts are good as well. The place is clean, the ladies are polite. And best of all they have a sauté station where you choose the proteins and vegies for the cook to sauté. The secret to going to Chinese buffets is that you go during its opening, lunchtime where the food is freshly cooked and the price is cheaper than when you dine in the evening. Of course you can not compare this to a fine dining restaurant but hey for the price, it offers you way more!

Its probably one of the worse chinese buffets i have been too. In this area Hibachi sushi seems to be the big chain chinese buffet. If i give this one two stars, that one gets four. And neither are really that awesome. I’d rather just go to a regular chinese restaurant and get one really good dish.
