Once you stay here you realize how centrally located it is to the big landmarks and areas. Good distance to down town, RDU, and other important areas. Very friendly staff, the lady helping at breakfast was truly a customer service oriented person, she kept breakfast stocked and kept serving way past the 9am close time. Rooms are clean and above average. This was our 2^nd time here and we plan on staying here again.

Arrived October 2015 for the first time, because a friend said they were good. How wrong he was!
1.The toilet seat rocked severely when you sat on it, you could clearly see the seal at the bottom was broken.
2. The bathtub was extremely slow draining, we were beyond ankle deep in water.
3. One two-​pronged hook on the bathroom door for towels/​washclothes. We were 3 adults staying in a room, how is there NO towel bars? Where to hang your towel while someone else showers? They have a note to reuse towels, sure, if we could hang them somewhere!
4. On the 3^rd day a terrible, sewer like stench wafted through the halls of the 4^th floor. This stench was stronger in our bathroom!
5. Far in advance we requested an extra bed. They called right before we arrived to say they didnt have one.

Look, I just want a clean, easy experience, I know this isn’t the Ritz, but this place was disgusting! Way too expensive for all these issues!
The staff was friendly and the free hot breakfast was delicious, there are your 2 stars.
NEVER AGAIN!

Came here 02/​07/​2015 and was told over the phone by reservations they were pet friendly. I check my statement and 300 dollars later I’m charged for my pet. I will never stay here or Wydham again. Manager wasn’t understanding or provided no customer service at all.
I had points to stay at a hotel ten minutes away but of course this was closer to our destination. But if I would have known I would be footing a 300 dollar bill I would have stayed 20 minutes from the wedding.
Never again!

This was the first time we stayed at Wingate and I must say I will definitely stay again with this group of hotels due to the amazing experience at this particular one.
1. The breakfast was excellent ranging from cereals, toasts, fruits, and lot of hot foods like eggs and sausage.
2. The location is easy to find from main road and highways.
3. Shower is excellent with hot water and clean tub.
4. Bed is clean and not too hard or soft.
5. Plenty of space in room.
6. Great customer service with very friendly staff.
7. Clean room and lobby.

I stayed a couple of nights. It was nice place with a spacious lobby and cozy room. The staff was very professional and freindly. The free breakfast was abundant wth fresh made waffles. The neighborhood looked a little suspect to me but that is not the hotel’s fault. I would recommend not walking around outsite at night because there was shady looking characters hanging around across the street.

Very nice place to stay right outside downtown Raleigh and save $ 100~. Yes, save that much by staying a few miles outside the city. The staff is excellent, they do not have a shuttle however. The breakfast is pretty good and an assortment. They have a nice indoor spa. They have a small work out area. They really won me over with the mattress and pillows, OMG, I haven’t slept that well in years!!!
I highly recommend this place, it’s right next door to some really nice restaurants, etc.

This is the first time I have stayed at Wingate Inn and I was pleasantly suprised. I had a corporate rate of around $ 89 a night & felt that this was a great value. This location is very clean and the employees very friendly.
If you are not familiar with Wingate Inns, they are part of the Wyndham Hotel group and are comparable to places like the Hampton Inn or Comfort Suites. I will definitely stay here again when I am traveling to this area on business.
The room comes equipped with a microwave, mini-​fridge with freezer, and coffee maker.
In addition, when I went to get ice, I found that they actually have washers & dryers on each floor that guests can use… which is handy if you are with family or will be staying for an extended visit.
They did have free wi-​fi, but it was as slow as dial-​up. However, this was my only «complaint» about my stay.
