This establishment delivers great joy to all of my senses!
Consistency is a bit challenging, however they always make proper accommodations.
The SAUCE is slamming !
I often enjoy the Tuesday special… jerk quarter leg $ 1.99 with 7 fries ;)!
Jerk wings, rib tips, and hot link very tasty!
Worth the drive from Chicago!

Big Daddy’s bbq is the best in the nation. I am so for real. If you do not believe me, then I challenge you to go pick anything off the menu and you will be back for more! Just don’t get hooked on one thing like I did… switch it up and see everything they have to offer. And the sauce I put that on everything!

This is probably the best BBQ I’ve had. We were driving through the area and picked it somewhat at random for lunch, and immediately bought more to take with us for dinner.
Mac n cheese was solid, fries were decent but unremarkable. However, both the brisket and rib tips were fantastic.
Very friendly staff, wish I had one back home.

We stopped traveling home just because we like to find BbQ places on our travels. It’s not too far off the beaten track. Very tasty pulled pork though I am a brisket fan but that was yummy too. Wish they gave Cole slaw as an added side to meals. Over all… I am glad we stopped.

I used to love this place. Lately, quality is on the downward slide. If you order anything other than tips, you are gambling on whether you will get hot food. I have only had hot fries once in the last yer. Jerk Chicken is always cold unless you get in on Tuesday, and even then I have gotten it cold. Baby Back Ribs are often cold as well. Its really sad whats happening here. I had high hopes for this place. :-(

Had a taste for BBQ so, I figured I would give Big Daddy’s a try after hearing so many good things .as I arrived there was a small crowd got two regular rib tips to go took about 5 min which was quick ! Placed the bag on my seat & noticed the grease seeping through the bag. After I tasted them they were ok nothing great I’ll try them one more time just in case they had an off day & hope for a better experience !

I called in my order on the way to work which was a waste of time. Order took an additional 20 minutes after I originally had been told 15 minutes. The regular tip link combo was tasty though.

First time at this place. Heard a lot about this place both positive and negative, but had to try for myself. Went on a Tuesday and the Special was a Jerk Chicken and fries for $ 1.99. Thought it was a great price, so I ordered 4 of them for the family. Jerk chicken itself could have had a little more jerk seasoning and tasted a little old, but still ok and wish they had given me more fries than just 6 fries with in each order, but it only cost $ 1.99. As my wife reminded me we did have their jerk chicken before at a friends house and it did taste fresher at that time then this time! To be very truthful I really did like their BBq sauce… it reminded me of the old chicago Mumbo sauce I grew up eating but a little sweeter. I also ordered a small order of Gumbo and it had a good taste to it and very meaty… keep this one up! Service was also good!

Today was my 2nd time at big daddy’s, the 1st time I ordered the turkey tips special and they were a little dry but I love the sauce. Today I got the 8 wing with extra sauce and it’s great! I’m from Chicago so I’m use to I-​57 Rib house and Harold’s chicken but Big Daddy’s will suffice while I’m in Indiana.

I ordered the half rack of ribs, a hot link sandwich and some chicken wings for my wife, food was fantastic, the décor of the restaurant was a little lacking and the food to about 45 minutes to come out of the kitchen. The quality of the food made up for waiting so long, I will definitely call ahead next time

Called a day earlier to pick up a pan of tips for a party. When we got the pan it was half filled. Basically there was one layer of tips that could have fit in a large bucket for much less. Wasted my money. Ended up going to the store to buy more food for my party. Have ordered from Big Daddy’s for years but I won’t be patronizing the store again.

I think we found the best BBQ restaurant in North West Indiana. The place was full during lunch. I ordered the medium rib tip and hot link combo. This was a perfect size portion. The Bbq sauce was different. It had a sweet and spicy taste. I really enjoyed the Bbq.
My wife ordered the Turkey Heaven Tips.
Of course, I tasted this awesome BBQ turkey tips! All I have to say is WOW!

Good barbeque just placed an order ask for a small jerk wings they told me you was 6 wings only received 3 wings cut in half so that’s false advertising I didn’t like that. No more jerk chicken from Big Daddy’s for me I know other places I can go for jerk before BBQ I still go if I feel like dealing without the attitude the real jerk joints you can hey a while chicken for $ 12. I just paid $ 6 for the damn 3 wings cutting have some fries what a rip off

Definitely good bbq sauce. This my second time here I got the Jerk chicken this time. The bbq is on the sweeter side, they use pineapples in their homemade sauce, but the sweetness is tampered with good flavor.
This is anything but fancy but, if you are looking for g good local bbq, I would recommend this place before anywhere else.
It’s messy, they don’t have fountain drinks instead you are buying by the bottle

I had such high hopes for Big Daddy’s BBQ, I mean after all we traveled all the way from Chicago to Indiana to taste BDB. I truly wasn’t that impressed!
Then I didn’t know until I was almost finished with my meal that they marinated their meat with pineapples and I am allergic but I never thought about asking either.
The staff was friendly, the place was clean and I even seen the owner but didn’t want to bother him… there were many awards around the restaurant but unfortunately the food wasn’t worth the long drive!
