Nice facility. With so few places to shoot at a reasonable price, this one is great. The rifle range is only open on Sat 1−5pm. Expanding the usable time to the public would be my only suggestion.

This range is one of the few open to the public in the Charlotte area. We were there just to shoot skeet, but you can also do trap. In addition to the skeet and trap ranges, there is a pistol and rifle range further down the road, but I haven’t seen it and can’t comment on it. For skeet and trap, there is one skeet range, one trap range, and one combination skeet/trap range. That means this place is crowded, so you would do well to come on off days and come early. There seems to be some confusion about the open hours, so your best bet is to just call.(The place is open on weekdays, despite some signs to the contrary). The equipment is nothing special, although jams do happen occasionally. Price for skeet and trap is $ 3.50 per round(20 shots fired), or $ 3.00 for Gastonia residents. There may be a bulk discount for groups firing a lot of rounds. Ammunition is available, but you must bring your own firearms. Also, they only carry a few types of ammo, so call ahead and make sure they have what you want to shoot. The range master is friendly, personable, and fierce — do not get on his bad side, and only come to this range if you can do so with a healthy attitude to safety and manners. To get there, first get to Tulip Dr. You will see a sign on the right about 0.8 miles from N. Chester St. Turn right at the sign and drive along a gravel road to the ranges.
