Best… Wine bar… Ever… The owner is knowledgeable and approachable. Bartender was helpful, prices are competitive. Try the blueberry cheesecake when you have a chance!

Seldom do I go in to Gastonia for food and drinks but I will if it means I’m going to this place. They have a variety of wines and local beers to choose from which you can easily make a flight of(3 different 2.5 oz pour) so you can try a variety. They have a lovely cheese plate that you can indulge in as well, this is definitely a spot to meet for a girls night out!

Checked out this store over the weekend when visiting family in Gastonia and wanted to grab some good beer. Was pleasantly surprised when entering their space, which is a little dim, but very modern and nicely-appointed to find that on Saturday’s they offer a free tasting from 2−4pm! Our sampling included two wines, a white blend and a red blend, and a Gose beer. The wines were both very nice, the first correctly described by the bartender as a summer poolside wine. The Gose was nicely sour and enjoyable if you like sour beer. Prices are average and beer selection could be improved, but this is a very nice store. I’ll certainly be back the next time I’m in town.

Yesterday, I spent an hour and a half sipping a wonderful craft brew, listening to live blues guitar and socializing with a group of friends whom I have met over the past year at G&B. What a great way to spend a little bit of time on a cool Saturday afternoon. I highly recommend this place as a frequent stop for grape and barley enthusiasts and for those seeking a more mature and professional atmosphere than a restaurant or bar. Top notch.

This place is just what Gastonia needs to compete with the surrounding craft beer and wine scene. They have a great rotating tap selection which usually includes local breweries with tap takeovers taking place atleast once or twice a month. The selection of diverse wines is impressive, however, I tend to just stick with the beverages fermented for malted barley instead of grapes. All in all this is a great hidden gem of Gaston County which needs more exposure and notoriety. Come check it out and stay for a pint or two!

This is just what Gastonia needs! Small bottle shop with an excellent selection of wine and craft beer. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff really set this place apart from the run of the mill boutique wine shops.

Not impressed. My husband has been desperate to try this place for awhile. We went early in the afternoon on Saturday and I was very disappointed. Tastings were approximately $ 3 for .75 oz and they were not excellent choices. I ordered a beer and my husband got a glass of wine. We bought an inexpensive bottle of wine as well and the whole bill came to over $ 50. Super expensive all around and not very thrilling… I wish I could support this local business but they have priced themselves out of the market. I’ll stick to Charlotte for my wine and beer shopping needs.

If you happen to be spending a Saturday out toward Gastonia, consider stopping here for their 2PM wine tasting. Every Saturday. The owner was friendly and the space is really nice. They have a nice bar with a few beers on tap* and even a 10-bottle wine dispenser to purchase a glass of wine. When we were there for the tasting, they were offering 3 wine samples and a beer. Afterwards you can browse through their collection of craft beers or bottles of wine to take some home. The beer fridge isn’t huge, but gives you some options if you do need a good cold beer for the road… i mean when you get home and don’t want to wait for it to get cold… don’t drink and drive. Surprisingly a few months after Noda sold out of their TriUmphant, i found a bottle here! i only bought one, so they may still have one. Stopping here definitely made the day more enjoyable as we were waiting for our car getting worked on at the dealer. It’s nice to see another option to pick up some good beer west of Charlotte. *You should be warned, they currently can’t serve full glasses of beer and can’t obtain private club status due to certain zoning issues that hopefully will be taken care of next month.
