While visiting the bf’s family in upstate NY for the holidays last year, we stopped here to cut our own Christmas tree. As a longtime artificial, pre-lit tree owner, I dreamed of this moment my whole life! I think I was more excited than the bf’s 3 year old niece and nephew! The farm has quite a few large lots of trees to choose from, and the prices were decent. They also had pre-cut trees you could purchase. Everyone was very friendly and if I ever move to this area I will definitely get my Christmas trees here!

In the winter Baughman’s is a Christmas tree farm and has big fields of cut-your-own trees, a bunch of pre-cut trees, and various other Christmas supplies like decorated wreaths and loose greens. They have a good number of trees available, so while you might have to walk around a bit you will be able to find one that meets your size and aesthetic requirements. If you buy a Christmas tree they’ll bale it, level off the trunk, and drill a hole in the bottom as needed. The only thing they’re missing(I think) is a complementary tractor or something to use to haul your tree from the field back to the parking lot – although the place is small enough that carrying it isn’t generally a big deal. In the fall Baughman’s is a pumpkin patch, and again you can pick your own from the patch or grab one that’s been picked already. They also have the usual autumn accoutrements of gourds and flowers for sale, a corn maze, and a haunted house.(In the fall this a beautiful place to take pictures.) My family has been coming here for the last eight or so years. The people working have always been friendly, and the selection of trees/pumpkins plus the other stuff has always been very satisfactory.
