Checked out Giovanna’s in their new location at The Goodwill/Bargain Outlets Plaza in Geneseo. Ordered a sausage/veggie pizza and chicken tenders– both were delicious as always. The new interior is clean, modern and beautiful… will be a great meeting spot when the bar opens. Also… can’t beat a genuine wood-fired pizza which is an option now. Trying that next!

Love the new site! Great dining room! Pick up was great… One suggestion for Giovanna’s… Have a few parking spots designated for pick up only! Because the place was sooooo busy this Friday I had to park pretty far away to pick up my take out…

Absolutely amazing place !!! The pizza so fresh– crisp delicate tasty bread crust(you don’t leave the edges on your plate here– too delish) and wow –the freshest toppings. We also love the spaghetti & awesome perfect meaty large meatballs. The cranberry chicken wrap w walnuts, greens, grapes, cheese & warm grilled chicken is an original masterpiece!!!(&WW5 pts for ½) — We never get tired of anything here. Chicken wings good size & done well– boneless chicken wings very popular as are the homemade calzones!!! Did I mention the cannoli’s!!! Always a great selection of flavors!!! These owners know their craft! Wish dining room a bit bigger & warmer in 3 seasons of year but you can’t always have everything. Here the food is everything!!!

Giovanna’s is pretty good, but there just isn’t a reason to go all the way out there when you could just walk to Mia’s or Paul’s. I really like that you can choose the crust thickness. The thin crust is very good, but their«standard» crust was way too thick. I can’t imagine how you could even eat of their thick slices. One thing that does make them stand out from the competition is that they will put dairy free cheese on my pies if I bring a bag next door from Wegman’s. :)

We were only in town for a few hours. Stopped in for lunch. Had an excellent buffalo chicken calzone! They were pretty quick making it to order and I ate it left-over today(great warmed up too). Will come back if we are in geneseo again!

Consistency is important when choosing a place to eat. Unfortunately, Giovannis lacks just that. The food is not usually great, but can surprise you at times. My recent visit to Giovannis included slow and cold service. Being the middle of winter, it was disappointing that the door was cracked open. This resulted in a very cold and poor experience. The food just is not that great.

Their pizza was delicious and they were extremely accommodating. However their service could use a helicopter for delivery because they are so slowww. 45 min for one pizza in the middle of the day is way too long of a wait. they need to pick up the pace.

After a disappointing non-delivery from Marks I called Giovanna’s. The pizza was at my house in approximately 30 minutes, steaming hot and wonderful. Will call again and again. Highly recommended!

Giovanna’s is a great place for pizza! I haven’t tried their pasta or desserts, but I’m sure it’s good, too. Their crust is thick, but not too thick and their sauce is great. The veggies tend to be a bit crisp, so if you like them done well, I suggest you let them know when you order. Also, be warned! Their large pizza could feed an army! Also, their chicken wings are delicious. Definitely order them!

This place is good for their calzones… i cant judge the pizza but i dislike anything thats reheated after being fridged. the calzones are huge and can be easily shared. im giving it 3 stars because its ridiculously slow. there were no people when i went there and it took 15 minutes to place my order.

Until Giovanna’s opened, the sad fact was this: Wegmans had the best pizza in Geneseo. Period. I know many Geneseo Alumni who might be reading this are having drunken nostalgic fits, but, if it isn’t almost 2AM, and your taste buds haven’t been numbed by alcohol then Wegmans REALLY was the only choice in town for QUALITY pizza. That having been said, I was Initially very skeptical about this location given the failures we’ve seen in this particular storefront(Mark’s Pizzeria and a Chinese restaurant both failed in fairly short order) After trying Giovanna’s food I was sold. The pizza is a thick crust with a variety of different styles available. Their vegetarian pizza is great. The readily available option of black olives and artichoke on the slices is a real selling point for me. If I have one complaint about the food it’s that the pizza slices are so unevenly cut the sizes can vary greatly. Don’t take this to mean you will EVER get a small slice of pie, but, expect that the inner child in you may be disappointed that the person grabbing your slice from the display doesn’t snag«The Big One» you were hoping for. While I’ve only ordered anything other than their pizza on a few occasions(Haddock Fish Fry, Tuna subs and a pasta dish) I’ve been pleased with everything I’ve had here. Even on a Friday afternoon with the availability of their delicious $ 8 haddock Friday Fish Fry deal(Haddock, small dinner roll, side and coleslaw) I’m drawn back to the $ 6 Slice and Salad deal(great slice, nice salad, and a 20 oz beverage from the cooler.) The dining area is small, but, most people order to go or for delivery. The place is clean and inviting. I do suggest that if you’re within easy pick up range you do so. The one time we ordered delivery it was considerably more expensive and the delivery time was terrible. All-in-all this place has made it into my regular rotation(bumping the pizza/food bar/sub shop food I normally get from Wegman’s next door) and I’m happy to say I’ll continue to frequent the establishment.
