I was absolutely in love with this bar. I attended SUNY Geneseo from 2009 – 2013 and I spent many a drunken night here. Starting at age 19 all we had to do was pay a cover to get in here. Once you turned 21 they waived the cover. They were super strict about unders and kids got kicked out all the time for trying to get alcohol from older kids, so I never tried. I have so many fond memories of pregamming this place and stumbling in in the cold to dance the night away on risers that were covered in greek letters. No matter what the weather was I would be sure to get my butt here every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night of my senior year; ESPECIALLY Thursday night for Thirsty Thursdays! Every Thursday from 11pm to 12am they would serve $ 1 doubles while playing 90’s R&B and Hip-Hop. I would get trashed for $ 3. Literally I will never be able to find somewhere else to do this again! I will forever remember every sweaty moment that I was there dancing to «Shots» and«Living on a Prayer» and how every night they would close out the bar by playing«Shout». I was so devastated to find out that after I graduated they converted the IB barn into a sorority house. It will truly by missed by all. I will never forget the beer soaked floors or the grafitti covered bathroom stalls.

I’m giving this a 5 because the I.B. was pretty much where I ended up every night, of every weekend, when I was in Geneseo. I’ve seen it all here man; people getting naked and running around, people waving blow up dolls, way too many dudes that don’t know they can wear shirts, people CLIMBING the back of the building to get inside. The IB was where many of us had some of our favorite forgotten memories, so it’s sad to see it go. It was fun, it was wild, and at the end of the day, it really was just a God awful sloppy mess of a barn. Yeah it was a f*****g barn. But we loved it!

Just another place to drink. This place is probably the biggest bar in town and most crowded on weekends. Only bar where underage drinkers have a better than 50⁄50 chance of getting in. How they’re still in business is a complete fuckin mystery to me. I don’t like their drink deals where you pay a cover to drink as much as you want for a limited period of time. They usually run out of alcohol or are REALLYSLOW to serve you.

The IB is the shit! Truthfully, this is every college kid’s dream(at least between the ages of 19 to 21). You can totally switch wristbands with someone older than 21 and get drinks except there are these crazy bouncers who check wristbands and Xs on your hands all the time. It’s ok though cause you can wash off the X without a problem. It was definitely more fun when I was under 21 though because it was more of a getting away with it excitement. The bar is almost always crowded on Friday and Saturday with guys and girls on the prowl trying to dance with you. It’s really funny because then the next day, you’re avoiding eyes with everyone on campus because of the hush hush things you did last night(lol). They also have drink specials on Tuesday for 75 cents and draft beer for a quarter. How much better could it get?

The«IB» is the quintessential Geneseo college bar. I would dare say everyone who has been associated with the school has had a drink(or 200) here. From the gross, graffiti’d bathrooms, to drunk girls throwing up off the back porch, to doing loops with your friends around the barn-like interior, this place has a special position in every SUNY student(or alum’s) heart.
