Denny’s

Right from the start. dirty entryway and filthy fingerprinted glass doorway. I did a Rambo by kicking doors open so as not to have to touch it… Waitress was good… food was mediocre. .red potatoes lacked the red and cooked yesterday… ham was tough and burnt. eggs were EXCELLANT. my friends were broken and tough. strange…his texas toast was sweet. and sausage warm and cooked yesterday.Overall.would not go back. but will get same thing at another Dennys as I believe the management is missing in Geneva location. ******See Ham under Photos.******

Poor service and dirty floors and windows will welcome you here! 4^th visit and I do not know why we came back the 3^rd time. The smudged finger and hand printed door was the first indication we should have turned and run for our lives! It had been literally days or weeks since the entrance doors and windows were cleaned. The filthy carpeted walkways were another example of poor management and I do not care service. We waited a good amount of time after being seated before finally being asked by a waitress (not our own waitress I wish she was) if we would like a drink while we waited for our server to get to us. It wasn’t particularly busy — 12:30 on a Saturday. Service was awful in that we wanted additional butter and coffee but no one returned until we were nearly done with our meal. When asked how we were doing the waitress was 3 booths away and did not wait for us to answer her with our butter request and she walked away. We had to go to the check out to get our bill and we were NEVER asked about our lunch experience. Good thing as she would have really gotten an ear full from us.
We will NOT be returning to this restaurant again.

My expectations were too high that I let myself get disappointed last night. I ordered a medium steak and it was well over done. I didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to have to wait any longer than we already had for our meal. Every one else’s meals were alright, except my sister’s pancake puppies. They were too crispy and had been on the fryer a little too long.

My husband and I have been going for several nights in a row and everything was
ok until the 3^rd time around. A waitress there would not return my husband’s drink
for something else as it tasted horrible. All I got was a dirty look from her for even
suggesting that perhaps it was sugar free (we do not like sugar free) or perhaps
something was wrong with it. She just said «no it is not sugar free» and then the
dirty look. Then a few minutes later she came back and said what my husband
had ordered on the menu was not available «tonight». So an apology for the drink
was definitely in order by then! But, no. We also overheard her tell the table right
next to us that what they ordered was also not available «tonight». When my husband ordered something that was «available» it came burnt on the outside. We thought
«no use complaining». We just will not come back for awhile. Perhaps by then they
will have better trained, courteous waitresses and will give them time to get their
menu items in stock.

David the waiter gets 5 stars for his excellent attentive, unobtrusive, and proactive service! He made sure we had what we needed even if he had to improvise it. Denny’s gets 2 stars for its mediocre but well-​priced food. Choose carefully and you will be all right:)

People will say that I shouldn’t have high expectations of this place in the first place and I didn’t. I ordered a blt lover’s blt. It was cut in half and the unripe tomatoes were both on one half. That half also had 6 of the eight strips of bacon. Sloppy. It was almost 10 bucks too. We waited for our food way too long and the service wasn’t friendly, but not rude.

Denny’s will always get love from me lol.
This location in particular (I cant remember our waiters name) The service was great. He was so nice and even got us some free pancake balls. I cant remember what they were called. Pancake puppies? I dont know but he was super friendly. I stayed at a hotel a few blocks away. So for the Unilocalers around here looking for something to eat… here ya go!
