Had an awful experience. I rented two concession machines and was able get the machines on time as requested. However as I attempted to return the machines and get the deposit back the employees did not know how to transfer the deposit back to my credit card or return the machines(?). I spent 45 minutes waiting for the cashier attempt to figure out(contacting someone on the phone and begging me to take a store credit because she knew how to do this) how to provide the deposit back per the rental agreement, only to be told that I would need to come back to the store the following day when the manager was available. When I told them that this conflicted with my work schedule and requested having the manager contact me by phone, I was handed the managers business card with a blank stare with no response. I have usually had good experiences with this store, but needless to say they have lost my business and I highly do not recommend renting anything from them.

Bought paint for a bedroom and hired painters to apply paint. The color in the can looked off from the sample, but I was assured it would dry the correct color. Painters applied the paint and I didn’t see the bedroom until it was done. What was supposed to be a cream color turned into bright yellow. I returned to Ace to buy additional paint for that room and what color they mixed was completely different from the first can. The first can was mixed wrong, and I now have a room that has been painted the wrong color. I’m out money for paint, supplies, and paying painters. Ace admitted they made an error. Their solution was to give me 15% off any supplies i needed to fix the room. I ended up with 1 can of free paint. While i understand human error, I do not feel i was compensated correctly for their error. After spending hundreds of dollars in your store the past few weeks, I will never spend a penny in your store again.

I love having a hardware store in town where i can get in and out without having to do the«big box’ ordeal. The staff here is helpful and you can find almost anything you need. But here is one thing: I don’t have a freakin’ ACE Reward Card. So please, when I check out, get off my back about getting a damn card. I don’t want one!

This review is for the garden center… kudos to whomever is in charge because the plants were in great condition, and there was plenty to choose from! I usually plant my annuals over mother’s day, and have spent a considerable amount of time at the big box stores. Everything was already picked over and what was left was in poor condition. I randomly stopped by here on a whim, and left with $ 100 worth of beautiful flowers. I am so excited to see how these grow!

We like to joke that this is the hardware store Norman Rockwell would shop at. It’s a nice, local alternative to big-box hardware stores that shows it with customer service and a more personal feel. We gone in many times for standard purchases and been very happy, but have been more impressed by the responsiveness of their staff on a few projects for which we’ve needed more detailed information and guidance.

The new store is cleaner and more inviting than the previous Ace that occupied this space. The staff was courteous and actually thanked me for my business. It’s nice to have a hardware store in the neighborhood again.

The NEW Geneva Ace Hardware really is the most enjoyable hardware experience that a person could have… Knowledgeable staff, everything you could hope for in terms of products, and a unique Geneva flare as far as style and community. They even have a home products area where they have the most interesting displays. It’s like no other Ace Hardware store I’ve ever been in.
