Disappointed… I really was excited to try some«good» new York style pizza. It was very ok… we got an xl pepperoni and an xl sausage and green pepper. I didn’t like the sausage and green pepper one at all. The pepperoni pizza was just ok at best. They also double charged me for the order. I called in the order and paid over the phone so my friend could pick it up. They charged him as well. I’m still waiting for my refund to post on my account.

It is a bit of a ride for me just to get pizza, but I love their New York style pizza. It is thin and foldable. Have not really explored the rest of the menu however, I will look to do so in the future.

Excellent pizza place! My cousin is in the hospital nearby and was feeling down, so I called Morano’s from NH, for pizza delivery. Got rave reviews about the pizza. And very much appreciated the concern the delivery driver showed in making sure it went to the right place. Hats off to Morano’s !

I’m from New York. This is not New York pizza. One can ask for NY style pizza – one dollar extra charge(why, I have no idea) – and it is simply not NY style pizza. How so? NY Style pizza has a firm, thin, crunchy crust. The outer crust of NY style pizza should be crunchy – if you fold it in half it «snaps” – and the cheese is added in modest amounts in anticipation that one will sprinkle Parmesan cheese on it, too. Well, this Morano’s NY style is the same, generic, mid-western grub served at every pizza joint this side of Columbus, Ohio. It is soft-crusted, wimpy. The tomato sauce is good – not too sweet like the lousy and expensive Aurelio’s on State Street – and the type of cheese is correct(although it is slathered on this thing as if one used a bricklayers’ trowel), but the crust is soft and gooey. Frankly, the only truly respectable thing about the Morano’s pizza is the fact that they pie-cut it rather than the ubiquitous tiny, «handle-less» squares of most every pizza place in Illinois. I do believe that there is a chance, a wild possibility, that the pizza could be «more» like NY style if Morano’s would cut the amount of cheese by 50%, and cook it a bit longer to crisp it up a bit. Without that, the NY-style pizza is not even really different than their regular pizza(which, maybe, has a thicker crust… otherwise, identical). I have only had the pizza at Morano’s, and cannot comment on the other food. The pricing is expensive for what one gets unless it is with one of their online coupons on the official website, a dated, unprofessional looking thing(still has a photo that says«Wheaton’s Best Pizza»…lol) that can be found with an internet search. Wish there was better pizza locally, but there is not. Morano’s is better than Aurelio’s outrageously expensive, tourist-trap goo-fest, and better than Domino’s, and that’s about all I can say for it. No indoor eating, just dine out/delivery. Pass unless you are starving.

They offer great pizza, pasta and calzones. Even the salads are fresh and tasty! Love the 50% off after 8 pm!(on pizza).

Being not from around Geneva we decided on Morano’s pizza for a quick bite to eat. The staff were friendly on the phone and even called back to confirm our order. They were able to deliver the pizza right to our hotel room which is a plus. As for the pie itself I would unfortunately have to say it’s pretty standard. The sauce was slighty spicy which isn’t my thing. Overall it was good, but being from the Southside I have had better.

Not quite what it was. Hoping it was an off night or two. I’ve had both their regular style and NY. I will only order the NY style. I don’t believe it’s about the crust with the NY but truly the taste. It’s the great flavor of that cheesy meaty goodness that slides down with that little bit of fat from the pepp or sausage topping… in a giant foldable slice. Try it — you’ll like it. However, if you prefer the sweet lollipop sauce from that«other» Geneva pizza place, you may find this too opposite.

I would have willingly given this place 5 stars without a second thought, if not for one incredibly stupid reason… they never answer their effing phone. I called several times today to no avail. Most of their business must be from sit-down orders because their phone was going all the way to an extremely annoying answering machine. The one time I was able to actually get someone on the phone and deliver me a pizza it was pretty good. I have never been able to get it again.

This is my go-to pizza delivery place for non-deep-dish pizza. The guys who answer the phone are always nice and quick. The pizza is very good. Best non-deep-dish in the area in my opinion. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is b/c I think the prices are unfair. They’re not CRAZY but they are a little too high for the area. Other than that, they are awesome! I order probably once/month.

Not impressed at all. Went here being new in town because of the reviews. The crust was so blah it tastes like flour. I usually love the crust but this I had to throw away. It is definitely not NY pizza being from the NY area I was very disappointed. I had the white pizza but there was way too much mounds of ricotta, which got cold fast. Im going to keep looking for a good pizza place, and at $ 18 for a medium was not worth it

We had our first Morano’s experience last night and enjoyed it. But before we even ate the food Morano’s is a four star joint. I had dealings with Pete working for a previous employer. He was polite, friendly and patient with me in our dealings. I’ll always be grateful for that, it was a rarity during my time at that job. And good food on top? I’m a fan.

Read all the reviews and got really excited as they all seemed to describe what I was looking for in a pizza. Ordered two, one thin and one New York style as being from New Jersey I’ve hoped to find a true«New York» pizza. .. it was disappointing, and was not worth the extra dollar for that style of crust; but did like the thin. The other thing which was unnerving was while waiting in the store for my pizzas kept seeing one of the cooks«nibbling» the ingredients with his fingers and not washing his hands in between nibbles; my hope was the he washed his hands before doing ours but was not too hopeful. Overall they were alright and we’d most likely stick with our favorite pizza place also located in Geneva, but wouldn’t be racing back here anytime soon.

Purely just okay. Nothing special. Had the double dough with mushrooms. The pizza was edible but nothing above. Average at best. Not horrible by any means but I would only get pizza from here again in a pinch. Sauce tastes more like spaghetti sauce than a pizza sauce. Crust was pretty good.

Today I tried the Italian combo with sweet peppers. OMG! It had to be the BEST combo sandwich. The spices in the peppers are amazing. WOW!

I love their NY style pizza. I am from the East Coast and nowhere in the midwest have I found a pizza comes close to my NJ pizza… until now! I am so happy to have found Morano’s, and right in my town! We are weekly customers! Give them a try, you will NOT be disappointed!

My new favorite pizza in the Fox Valley. I had the New York style and it is absolutely authentic(i travel to NYC frequently). For those that used to like Garibali’s, this is similar but better. The pizza ingredients were fresh, and there’s nothing bad I can say. This is clearly a family-owned business that loves doing what they do. I walked in to pick up my pizza and was greeted with enthusiasm. I had to wait a few minutes for my pizza to finish and the family was joking and having fun. Since they were in their Friday night rush it was refreshing to see even under pressure everyone was friendly and having a good time.

Nice family run business and a great addition to Geneva. Personable owner, also running the antique ovens, greeted me upon arrival. The crunchy cracker-style crust we ordered was perfect as the mounds of fresh cheese strung down from each bite. This was our first time trying Morano’s, and we’ll definitely be back soon! Thanks Pete!

Morano’s has become my go-to pizza place. I love their crust – The pan is my favorite, though the New-York style is also quite good for thin crust lovers. Fresh ingredients, and they always make ‘em nice and cheesy. Overall, by far, the best pizza in Geneva hands down. And to top it off, great, friendly service.
