sad they are closing soon… best of luck with everything!

Really high prices here with less selections than other competitors in the area. I think that Soup to Nuts believes they have no competition and that’s not true since America runs on personal transportation; anyone can drive to Trader Joe’s, Fresh Market, Fruitful Yield or, out of desperation, Jewel. I used to patronize the café inside as well but the prices are way too steep while the portions are tiny and often bland.

If your looking to shop local and getting all-natural /organic items this is the place. They also have a little café that serves fresh juice and food. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. They also have fresh vegan baked goods from a local baker. The«cook» in the café is very friendly to customize your order. They also have a book shelf where you can pick up a book and read while eating. The only bitter sweet draw back to this store is the prices. Yes, they are more expensive than other natural stores in the area, BUT you have to remember, your supporting a local store, which in turns helps the local community. P. S. they also have a holistic festival once a year that brings local farmers/venders together in the parking lot which is great to know whats out there.

Seems to mostly focus on the vitamins, but they have a fair amount of personal care, a small café in the back(haven’t tried it), a small frozen food section, and bulk groceries. I haven’t seen bulk organic oats before(they might have it at Whole Food?) and the price per pound is about half what I’ve been paying for a tiny box at Trader Joe’s. They also have several frozen organic veggies/fruits I haven’t seen at TJ’s, and this seems to be the only place around that sells bulk baking yeast.(It isn’t refrigerated, but you can’t have everything.) So while I wasn’t that impressed the first time I came in, I’ve found something I needed every time I’ve come by, and I’m now driving here twice a year to get bulk yeast.

I wont be going back, which is a shame because I could walk there from my house. I have found better selection within a short drive. As well, they dont carry any meat. Their hours of opperation are also restrictive for me. This last visit was the one that really burned me up. I couldnt find what I was looking for, but I could not get assistance because one of the regular workers was training a new cashier. I use the term training loosely as it was more flirting than anything else. After only finding 1 of my original items I proceeded to check out. I did have an impulse buy, a bag of Glutino chocolate covered pretzles. I grabbed them because a sign right on the rack said«30% Glutino Snacks!». When I was rang up the cashier rang them at $ 7.09. I asked about the sign but was told that it only applied to the red collered bags of Glutino snacks. He went on to tell me that they NEVER discount the big white bags. I was a little upset but bought them anyway. I had to go to Fruitful Yield to get the other 6 items on my list that Soup to Nuts didnt have. I walked back into snacks just to look at the Glutino pretzles. I had to take a picture I will post here. It is the SAME bag of pretzles. Regular price? $ 6.29…Sale price? $ 5.03!!! Not only do I feel like I was lied to, I feel like the prices cant be trusted. To bad.

This place is awesome. I disagree with the other comments. I’ve looked for essential oils, and herbal supplements here and these are things that you can’t find anywhere. The café is awesome too. Everything is organic and homestyle. I absolutely love there raw juices they make from scratch. The lady who is there most of the time is real earthy and sweet. She always greets me with a smile! There isn’t any Juice bars around. A hip Juice bar is something area really needs but unfortunately lacks. The staff is always polite. I’m in my mid 20’s and there was a another man there about my same age who was full of information. He could totally relate with me and my work outs at the gym. He knew just what type of supplements I was looking for.

Very small natural food store close to Geneva’s downtown. This is even smaller than the natural food store in my college town, which I thought was tiny. They don’t have a big selection of produce, and prices seemed high on a couple of items I looked at. Geneva doesn’t have a Whole Foods(yet…no TJ’s either, though there’s one in Batavia), so I guess they can get away with higher prices without corporate competition; some people will always pay more to support a local business, which is noble, but this place just didn’t have any selection. The staff member I interacted with seemed to be aware of this, because he asked if he could help me and immediately asked, «Suggestions?» Though nice, helpful and aware of what he did have, it still didn’t make up for the general lack I felt. Maybe I’m just used to supermarkets at this point and am spoiled, but I feel like these guys need to up their game.

Soup to Nuts stands out, in my mind, for offering fresh vegan baked goods from a local baker. Otherwise, this place doesn’t offer anything you can’t find at major supermarkets or Trader Joe’s. They have a few pre-packaged vegan cookies and some Asian foods and vitamins and stuff like that. I thought the prices were way too high, on the order of 20−50% more than what you’d pay at chain stores. Given that Soups to Nuts doesn’t really offer anything special or unusual, I’m not sure how they can justify their prices. The café in the back is more of a juice-bar and while it does offer some soups and sandwiches, I didn’t find any of they make to be worth the expense — a hummus sandwich? Who cares. How about offering a BLT made with veganaise and tempeh bacon(which is typical of health food stores such as Soup to Nuts)?
