I’ve been going to Tai’s for a couple years now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experiences. The salon is situated in adorable downtown Geneva with easy access to parking, definitely a huge plus. It’s beautifully decorated, modern with a cozy touch. Tai always listens to what I want, as well as adds her own suggestions. I’ve never left with that sinking«oh no, what I did just do to my hair» feeling. Great service. Great prices. Great company. I couldn’t recommend it more! Definitely worth a try if you haven’t stopped in before.

I’d like to recommend Taisha as a makeup artist /aesthetician. She has a flexible and accommodating style when it comes to makeup artistry, so you end up looking like a better version of yourself instead of someone you don’t recognize. She offers fantastic and creative service in a very nice location for extremely reasonable rates. Although she has always run efficiently and on time for me, I would be willing to wait for her! She’s amazing! I recommend visiting her for a makeup session just to learn more about how to improve your everyday look or take advantage of recent trends.

I found this place through Groupon and was excited based on the reviews but it was an incredible let down! From the time I stepped in, I wasn’t greeting at all not even a hello just a «hurry up and get in the chair» kind of look. I went in for a cut and partial highlights and let me just say they take the«partial» to heart. Taisha did my hair and she did not have time to fully blow dry it because she had somewhere to be(wow) anyways when I got home and my hair had finally dried up I realized what an awful job she did! She only highlighted the front sides of my hair! Like the bangs and that’s about it. So the whole back of my head is one color and I have two streaks of blonde hanging on the sides of my head. It looks incredibly ridiculous! !! I called her back in hopes that she would offer to fix it and instead I was met with sarcastic attitude and impatience. She said and I quote, «different stylist do partial highlights differently. This is just how I do it. If you wanted highlights on the back you should’ve said so and I would’ve charged you extra.» I’ve had partial highlights done plenty of times before and they are always done all around. Obviously it’s a lower number of highlights as compared to full highlights but never confined to just one area of the head. I mean it’s common sense. You wouldn’t just do the right side or the left side. So why just do the front and not the back? Awful attitude, awful customer service, awful hair care. Would not recommend at all.

Ok, I found this place through Groupon. They were having a great deal for a shampoo, Hair cut and blow dry. I grabbed the groupon knowing I was going out of town so having my hair down the day I left was a great plus! I walked in and this place is really cute. It’s got a modern feel without being pretentious. It has cute modern art on the walls that I really liked. So, for a moment I was a bit worried about the average age of the clients. When I first got there, there was a lady who was easily in her 70’s getting her hair done. As I waited another woman came in who was also, easily in her 70’s. This is not a hating on the older generations post… it’s that they have sweet, short cute haircuts and I have naturally curly hair that is down to my lower back! I worry when I walk into these places that the stylists may have more experience with a different type of hair. That being said, once I thought things through this was a weekday, morning and I assume most people are either in school, at work or have kiddos. My stylist, who I believe is the owner came in and introduced herself. She was probably younger then me(I am 37) with a adorable hair cut and color! It made me feel more confidant that’s for sure. She was very sweet and listened well to my comments on wanting a basic trim. She asked me a few details about how curly my hair was and what happened next, was what sold me! For any of you who have naturally curly hair, you know that your hair really should be cut DRY, not wet. Why? Because curly hair when wet starts to shrink up almost immediately. When people are cutting its easy to cut things unevenly because of it. So as soon as she told me she would straighten my hair first and then cut it, I knew she knows what she is doing and then some! She ended up giving me a nice trim and my hair looked great walking out of there. I will go back again for sure.

This Beauty Lounge is recently new but the Stylist/makeup artist has 14 years of experience. Taisha has been doing my hair for over 5 years and I trust no one else with giving my locks the best treatment. She’s always open to trying new styles/colors that I insist on having, and makes great suggestions about the products I should use and the best ways to treat and style my hair at home. Her makeup applications look flawless in photos and her bridal work with hair and makeup has even been showcased in Chicago Style Bridal Magazine. She is so sweet with all of her clients and has many long-time clients as well. This place is a definite must-go-to.
