This place is my home. There is not a more beautiful place in the world. If you like music even at all — find your musical reason for coming here. Every year, I come here for Sasquatch! Music Festival to forget the outside world. It’s my favorite spot on the planet. The view can’t even be properly expressed in words. Not to mention the sweet natural acoustics on the main stage. I recommend this concert venue to anyone in the world as one place to see before you die.

This is the best concert venue I’ve ever visited. I’m a huge Dave Matthews Band Fan and this is the Mecca! I loved every minute of my 2 visits in 2012 an 2015! I camped 4 nights and saw 3 shows each year. This place is amazing. The view is obviously one reason it’s amazing, but people attitudes are a major factor in making it great. I just can’t wait to get back out there!

What a beautiful amphitheater! The grass seating was a bit steep for me but overall the views of the stage were great. They do have big booms that, if you were late, had to sit behind but if you’re up in the«nose bleeds» what’s the point of looking down on stage! They do have large screens behind the band so you can kinda see what’s going on. So, come early, bring a blanket, water, snacks and whatever else tickles your fancy because if you’re driving home or walking back to your camp you’ll need to stay hydrated. They do have beer/wine stands and a general store if you want some snacks before you enter. It’s nice that they have hydration stations around the ampetheater. However, since it’s not sectioned off, you better have good memory recall or nice people to guide you back to wherever you were sitting. I would totally come back and see a show here, but not stay in their campground. It was pretty misleading as we had no shuttle to take us to the entrance of the amphetheater nor did we have showers. The showers were in only one central location, too far from the premier site. By the time you took your shower and walked back to your camp you would have to take another one. But I’ll save the rest for when I review their camp area.

Wow, most beautiful amphitheater I’ve ever been to! Porta-potties were very clean and stocked with toilet paper. Gorge noodles are delicious. This should be on everyone’s list!

Gorgeous venue! Nothing else like it! We had lawn tickets for the Foo Fighters and it was great to be able to lay on the lawn while we waited. The sound quality was great anywhere you sat. Drinks and food are pricey but that’s too be expected… just as much at sports events or other large concerts I’ve been too. They need to work on their parking situation leaving the venue. I wanted to get star parking but it was sold out. Luckily someone knocked down one of the side barriers and the people that were parked in star parking let us cut in so that probably saved us hours because the other lines out weren’t going anywhere. I’ll buy star parking next time.

The gorge is beautiful however after being at red rocks in Colorado. I prefer that over the gorge. The gorge is out in the middle of nowhere with the option of camping out or staying about an hour and half out. it’s a bit of an inconvenient to get to and the venue itself has some weird bathroom setup that if you have the pit as your seat. your are literally going to pee your pants because getting to a bathroom is a hike and getting back is even worst…

Acoustics are fantastic for an outdoor venue. Dave Matthews Band played three nights. Final night was their 50th show, they stared at 8:10 and finished after a 20 plus minute performance of Two Step just after midnight. What a night.

Why 5 stars? Because how could it be anything else? — — — I aspired to see the annual 3-day Dave Matthews Band concert at the Gorge for 3 – 4 years, but it just never worked out. I’d say that making this finally happen was probably about as high as possible on my life’s bucket list. And in 2015, it finally happened. First off, it is in the middle of NOTHING. We knew it was far from civilization, but it feels even farther once you’re actually there. The closest«town» is Wenatchee, which is 47 miles away. When we finally arrived at the site, there was no sign of the actual amphitheater from the parking lot. We walked from our car to the ticketing gate. Still nothing. From the gate, we continued to follow the masses, joking that maybe it’s all mythical. How could we be this close and not even see it yet? And then… we arrived at the top of the hill, and the majesty was below us. It’s one of those views where everything just kind of stops. You want to freeze time and never lose the moment. It’s insanely gorgeous, and makes you feel lucky just to be a part of it. But our rookie mistake was thinking Dave started at 5:00, so that people could take in that view during the concert, and not be starring into the blackness of night. In reality, his shows ran from about 8:15p-12:00a, with a 20 – 30 minute intermission after 8 – 9 songs. But that little nugget is more about DMB, than the Gorge. So remember that view I was telling you guys about? It’s worth 5-stars alone, and I knew that nothing negative could sway my rating below that. All of the notes below are mild inconveniences, but nothing worth removing a star. —When you actually could use some assistance, it’s a very«anything goes, whatever man» kind of vibe. –The first night, we had seats, and a couple of guys were in ours. I leaned in and told him, «hey I don’t care, but technically you guys are in our seats, so if the people in these seats come, we’ll need to give up these and get in ours.» His response: «ask me how many f____s I give? ZERO.» Ok GREAT! I then looked around for a security guard, usher, or employee of some sorts. I saw none the entire night. Luckily the other people in our row never came. –If you do not enjoy cigarette and/or weed smoke being blown around without hesitation, the Gorge is probably not for you. More people are smoking something, than not smoking something. —And then in other instances, there is TOOMUCH bureaucracy. –The process to get a mixed drink: 1) Show your ID at a stand to get a wristband 2) Walk to the fenced-in hard liquor area, where no other alcohol can enter or leave. 3) Show your ID at the door, despite having the wristband on. 4) Wait 15 minutes in line. 5) Show your ID at the bar, despite having the wristband, and despite not being able to enter the premises without showing your ID. SILLINESS. –We sat on a ledge of the first tier of the lawn, as dozens of other people were. During the 2nd song, we were told we absolutely could not sit there, and it was very puzzling. It was not unsafe, it was not blocking anybody, it was not blocking the sidewalk. Pretty unexplainable. And when we went to the restroom halfway through the show, the entire area was full of people again, so apparently, we lost our good spot for nothing. –Despite being«Heaven’s Amphitheater,» the concessions are the typical Live Nation, corporate fare. Everyone’s favorite, «Live Nation Dog,» can be had for the one-time price of $ 5.50. The chicken tender basket tastes significantly worse than what was served from my middle school cafeteria. There was one food truck that served dumplings, in which I waited 45 minutes for in line… and they tasted like something you would eat out of a dumpster. You don’t go to the Gorge for food obviously, but my advice would be to stuff your face elsewhere before heading over. Again, the above issues were all minor. The Gorge is an amazing place to see a show. The views and sound quality are unparalleled. Parking is free, and shockingly very efficient. I expected traffic to be stand-still every night, but it was infinitely quicker than our amphitheater in Tampa. If you’re a music junkie, you must come here. You must.

Yup, they stuck a stage right off of the Columbia River Gorge! We came here for Dave Matthews Band. the scenery is super relaxing. I would highly recommend reserved seating over general admission. Your calves will thank you for it after a long jam session concert. People here are awesome. I’m talking about the concert goers and people who work the merch and food stands. I’d be back again but probably to camp out!

The best outdoor venue on the west coast. However, I think the facilities need an update – this is a world class venue and they should represent it as such. The food stalls are old with limited selection(they can be making so much more revenue with more food, desserts, drinks, beer garden, etc.). Secondly, the staff there should be better equipped to handle large groups: security should all carry flash lights and be able to communicate to each other at all times.

This is the best place to see a concert outdoors. You need to get here if you have not already been here at least once. They have added some amenities over the years to make this place even better. Get the best camping available, Terraces are the best, if that is not available get premium camping if you can. The standard lot is not bad either it usually turns into a huge camping cocktail party. Make sure you do stay and camp before and after the show it is only way to go.

The most beautiful outdoor venue that I have been to for concerts/music festivals. I’ve been here for both Summer Jam & Paradiso and it’s definitely a different type of crowd for both events. I absolutely just love the view here, it’s breathe taking. The view is so amazing that it doesn’t look real, it looks like something Bob Ross would do nature painting on The Joy of Painting. There’s plenty of room to move around, stand, or sit down to enjoy the music. When the sun sets, the party continues with awesome light shows on the main stage. There’s camping grounds provided a the Gorge with different levels of camping depending on how much luxury & quietness you want out of your camping trip. Cheapest is general camping, middle is Premier, and highest is Terrance. Depending on what time of the year your event is at, you might want to debate whether camping is right for you because it sure does gets hot during the summer time here, but it’s all for the experience.

It’s too gorgeous for words… I’ve been here both for Paradiso and Sasquatch. The main stage is unreal! The background looks like a painting, and the sound is amazing. Whether you are in the pit right at the front of the stage, or more back towards the grassy lawn area, you can hear the music perfectly. It’s about a 3−4hr drive from Seattle to George, WA. I highly recommend seeing a concert/music festival here if you already haven’t. You will not be disappointed. Don’t forget to bring a jacket though, it’s pretty scalding in the summer during the day, but at night it can get quite windy and cool. I also never realized that Cave B winery was literally right next to the Gorge! I’ve always wanted to go there! Such a cool looking estate.

I went to The Gorge for the Linkin Park/30 Seconds to Mars/AFI concert this past weekend, and wow, I was blown away. I’ve never been to an outdoor concert like this(an outdoor concert at Marymoor park got nothin on this venue). Some notes from the experience: –I purchased Star parking for $ 30 and was very happy with how easy it was to get in and out. At the end of the concert, we were able to get out to the main road immediately. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. –The canyons are to die for. The scenery looks like a painting. Great backdrop for the stage and beautiful at sunset. –Amazing sound. Can’t quite capture that with an indoor venue. You just have to go and experience it yourself to know what I’m talking about. –If you’re 21, take advantage of the deck where you can capture the entire scenery while sipping on some wine or beer. I didn’t have a chance to go, but the view looked amazing. –Plenty of food/drink stands. –Ton of staff on hand to guide you. –I HATE honey buckets, but these weren’t too bad at all. They were pretty clean actually. The one downside was that smoking wasn’t really regulated I know it’s hard to enforce that during the concert, but before the concert even started, there was a guy sitting two seats away blowing smoke into the sides of our faces. It was super obnoxious, but none of the staff told him to go into the smoking areas that the Gorge designate. I was sick, so that definitely didn’t help my cough. All in all, a great venue for a concert. Highly recommend experiencing it at LEAST once in your life.

Last weekend’s Dave Matthews and Brandi Carlile show marked my fourth concert here. We’ve attended for a day and an overnight in the campground and both had their perks. The campground is like a big frat party with tents. Don’t expect to sleep much, but at least you’ll have early access to the music and everyone is drunk-friendly. The venue itself also lends a fun atmosphere for meeting people and sharing an incredible experience together. You really can’t beat the view(those sunsets)! Even if you’re not a fan of the heat, which I am not, there comes a certain time of the evening where everything cools down and all is right with the world. The only real downside is how expensive the merchandise, food and beer items are($ 15 tallboys), except the $ 4 quesadillas — those pair well with a pending hangover. Porta-potty bathrooms. BYOB(blanket) and snacks.

My first concert ever was at the Gorge, back in 1992. Janet Jackson’s «If» tour. I have the coolest mom ever; I was only 8 years old when we trekked up there for the show! I don’t really have a ton of words to describe the love for my favorite music venue in the entire world. Gorgeous? Epic? I mean… those words work, but they still don’t quite do it justice. Instead, I will list off all the amazing artists I’ve seen there, and I just need y’all to imagine the intensely beautiful backdrop behind the stage when I’ve caught these artists. –Arcade Fire. The first time I ever saw them was at the Gorge in 2005, and I’ve seen them five times since then. Dancing barefoot in the grass to «Neighborhood 1(Tunnels)» is ingrained in my memory forever. –New Order. An act I never thought I’d get to see. –Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Best family concert ever. –Sasquatch music festival, I think I’m a nine year veteran of that festival? I’ve lost count. Those are just a few. The feeling I get when I finally climb the hill and see the top of the amphitheater, will never, ever die. The excited flutters and ultimate peace I feel when I take in the view is unmatched and I’ll probably continue to feel that for as long as I attend concerts there. Thanks for being such an integral part of my childhood and adulthood. Long live the Gorge Ampitheater.

Amazing view ! Takes the concert experience to a whole new level. Came here for the Bruno concert. Pros: view and outdoor seating. They also have camping and glamping options! Cons: quite a far drive if ur coming from seattle, parking may be an issue for coming in and leaving, drinks and food are expensive. For example 1 can of beer is $ 5, a tall boy is $ 14, glass of wine is $ 9 and bottle of wine is $ 34. Tips: tailgate in the parking lot a few hrs before the show. Once inside, snag spots in the lower lawn bowl so u can lean against the carved out ‘seats’. You can bring a 1 gallon freezer bag of food, 1 empty water container(u can the water station in the park), 1 sealed bottle of water, 1 small blanket. Bring cash if u plan on getting food or drinks inside. You Can’t bring in alcohol or coolers.

The gorge in unbelievable. If you have a chance to go to a concert here, DOIT. The view is breathtaking and there is not a bad seat in the amphitheater. I went to Sasquatch there this year and had an incredible time. Just a few tips –Splurge and buy the upgraded camping, it is definitely worth it. In première camping, the most affordable camping upgrade option, they offer a shuttle to take you to and from the venue which is totally worth it because the walk back to the campsite is about 30 minutes long and gets very crowded when everyone leaves together at the end of the night. Also, première camping has their own security entrance lines that move much faster than general admission. It’s definitely worth the extra money.
