When I first moved in a little over a year and a half ago, I had almost no complaints about this apartment complex. Rent was very cheap, the complex overall looked very nice and neat, and we had a decent enough relationship with the office staff. Apart from living right next to the small Georgetown Airport and hearing planes constantly flying overhead, this was an excellent fit for me. Things have gotten worse. Rent has risen, albeit not that much, parts of the complex are falling into disrepair, and the constantly changing office staff is forcedly cordial at best. First, some legitimate complaints: A few weeks ago, we had a leaky shower faucet. The handle had broken through everyday wear and tear but in such a way that scalding hot water was constantly flowing out of the faucet at a pretty steady flow. I called the«emergency hot line», since this was on a Saturday, and the operator took all my information, was very polite, and forwarded our request to the maintenance person on call. Maintenance called me a little while later and informed me that my situation did not constitute an emergency. Oh well. I didn’t get upset since it was out of my hands. On Tuesday or Wednesday, when the regular maintenance people showed up, one of the guys said to me «This constitutes an emergency situation.» I was inclined to agree seeing as how we were unable to take a shower in that bathroom and the water pouring out of the broken faucet was incredibly hot, which meant an inflated gas bill for that month. My second complaint is the gym/office hours. The office is not open on Saturday or Sunday. This would be fine for anyone who doesn’t work the same hours as the office workers and doesn’t need to pick up a package. My girlfriend and I are both gone from the apartment from about 7:45am-6:45pm M-F, which means we are never home when the office is open. Their solution to this problem is to have someone we know come and pick up the package. We don’t know or trust anyone else at the complex. The gym is currently closed during non-office hours for undisclosed reasons until an undisclosed date. Thank you for the info. In summation, if you enjoy getting the runaround, loud children/airplanes, hit or miss maintenance, random closures of facilities, and an overall feeling of «what the hell else is gonna happen», then this is the place for you. The only redeeming factor about this place(and the only reason it got an extra star) is because it is still a fairly new complex and the apartments themselves are very nice on the inside. I’ve heard good things about Water’s Edge though…

nice looking place all the way around but… I would never live here again! it takes days if not weeks to get simple things fixed here! Vandalism is here and lots and lots of kids running wild here! Trash has been set on fire outside and my door has been damaged due to someone trying to break in… when I told the manager they said they would get right on it and make a report and take pictures, that NEVERHAPPENED! Never get an apt by the pool or basketball courts, you will never get any peace and quiet! I cant stress enough the amount of kids that are here!!! Mean kids too! The fake wood floors stick to your feet because they are not glued down properly. Kids run wild through the breezeways without any reguards to your space! Dogs do their business around the yards here! The managers take forever to do anything about people smoking on their balconies while cigarette butts blow over in the yards, one lady even had about 12 bags of trash on her balcony for months and they never did anything. At first, I recommended this place to a coworker, when he got his apt. it was infested with roaches! It took two months to somewhat control them! Take my advice, LOOKELSEWHERE!
