From the outside this seemingly little liquor stop looks like nothing more than a run down packie but looks can be deceiving! Georgetown Liquors carries some of the finest collections of wine, beer and hard liquor anywhere on the north shore and the staff is great! Their annual wine tasting attracts attendees from miles and miles and rivals any fancy restaurant wine tasting. They even have gift baskets made up at the holidays to make it easy to pick up a last minute hostess gift. … And lastly(slightly off topic) they are one of only a handful of places to buy Cabin Fever New Hampshire Maple Whiskey — which is amazing!!!

I agree with the other reviewers that the storefront doesn’t look as inviting as it could, but this place has a great selection of beers and wines. The staff seems to know their stuff and they often have free tastings during the week. They have a pretty good selection of cigars, too. Prices are decent and they’ve just started selling meats from Danvers Butchery.

I heard this store had a decent craft beer selection so I decided to take a ride over. The store front as previously described is not the most welcoming, but once you enter you’ll feel invited. There is a huge wine selection but I was there for the beer, specifically Clown Shoes. Easy to navigate aisles with the beer located towards the back, I found the Clown Shoes Clementine and also decided to pick up a 6 pack of Victory Brewing Festbier. Not seeing any prices I assumed they’d be in the range of all other liquor stores. Wrong! The FestBier was an outrageous $ 13 for a 6 pack! I thought something might have been amiss since he had to look up the price on his sheet, but it was in fact that price. I bit the bullet and purchased it since I was there and on the way home stopped at a local store and sure enough the Festbier was $ 9. I believe in supporting the small independent stores but to gouge on the beer price isn’t cool. Live and learn.

Finally I did it! I have been passing this store for a long time, every weekend on my way to NH. It is so shady and sketchy on the outside, like a place where you KNOW you will get your ass kicked just for thinking about going in there. The windows covered in beer signs and prices, it just looked scary… plus its attached to a manly hardware store. So finally tonight I braved it. I went in. It was completely not as I expected! The people were super nice and the place was huge. It looks like a tiny hole in the wall on the outside, but inside is really organized and they have tons and tons of wine. Wine from everywhere, wine varities that I have never heard of, wine priced less than $ 10 and wines over $ 100. Basically they have a really good wine selection, and a new area that was just built that resembles a wine cellar, really nice! They also have the standard booze, vodka, brandies, whiskey etc and the liquers as well. They seemed to have a lot of beers as well. Basically, if you are in the area this is a great place to go for all ofit, and very reasonably priced as well.
