I have to give these folks five shiny ones. Since moving to G’town in June, I’ve noticed that the parks in this town are plentiful, spacious, well-kept, and interesting. I’m particularly fond of the Bark Park, which I’m about to write a separate review, but all of the parks in this town are top-notch. I believe the crown jewel in this parks & rec system is the complex of adjoined parks that comprise a 5+ mile system of hiking trails harmonious with the two San Gabriel River branches. A wonderful escape from the hustle-and-bustle that is Georgetown TX. OK, maybe I got a bit lost in the moment there, but it really is a beautiful, relaxing, and scenic trail right in the very heart of Georgetown. The«rec» part of Parks & Rec, I’m not acquainted with. But, I noticed baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and Frisbee golf; as well as senior centers and what looks like activity buildings for kids. There seems to be something for everyone in Georgetown Parks and Rec, even Your Ol’ Pal Shooey and his two hounds!

I voted early for Obama and even though i live in Tx and the county i am in i knew my vote would not factor into those electoral votes but it felt good to vote and i am glad my guy won!.. Also voting on other positions and propositions.” I have never used the facility or the park”. It looked nice and the people working were nice!

To say that I am enamored with Georgetown Park & Rec would be an understatement. My teenager was making some dumb teenage choices and I wanted him to experience something other then myspace, the mall & sneaking out over spring break. I searched the web to try to find a spring break camp and found Georgetown Park & Rec was offering a teen spring break adventure camp at a very reasonable fee. My son spent 6 days paddling down the Pecos River and camping under the stars. He came back with stories of wild broncos, pigs and goats and a great feeling of accomplishment. I was so happy he went and was able to experience something so unique and rewarding. The camp leader was Joe Armstrong and he definitely has a way with teens. My son even came back exclaiming he could cook, but apparently his cuisine involves a fire, ground beef and macaroni and cheese, so I have yet to take to take him up on it. Would I use this service again? Absolutely, I was checking out their summer camps the day after I came back. The best camp ever!
