There should be more than 5 stars to give to Georgetown Pottery. Over the years I’ve acquired a few pieces, when I come up to visit friends, always finding the designs beautiful and styles appealing. I received several pieces of the purple fish collection for a wedding present some years ago and recently had an incident with the large platter. I wrote and asked what to do about this and was asked to send a picture of the problem and my address. In less than a week my platter was replaced. The staff could not have been more friendly, gracious or accommodating. Everything about the loveliness of the pottery the other reviewers say is true. On top of that, this is a most reputable company and a complete pleasure to deal with. Can’t wait till my next shopping trip this summer. Thanks again Georgetown Pottery, you have a loyal customer.

We took a detour to see this pottery after seeing a few samples in the Belfast Information Center building. It is amazing how much pottery is being offered. We were particularly delighted by the large display of ikebana vases. Prices seemed reasonable given the quality. We later saw there was a tent sale of their 2nds at their Woolwich location on route !. Store personnel were very informative and friendly.

What’s a trip to Georgetown Maine without stopping at Georgetown Potter? My sister begs to come visit us all the way from Cape Cod when we are here just so she can shop at this spot. My favorite gift item for anyone on any coast is the unique«tide clock.» Anyone who has ever lived on the water, or who boats will appreciate keeping time by high and low tides instead of the hour. This is heirloom quality hand made and painted pottery with unique Maine designs.
